Career Skills Acquired::
I have worked 25 years with project management in the pharmaceutical industry, with major
capital project, new production plants, business development and marketing.
With my background, having run large and complex project, with numerous and sometimes
conflicting demands, I have acquired excellent abilities to define goals and develop strategies.
I am a driven and proactive professional, competent in managing steering teams and
coordinating project activities between projects and with the operational organization.
A key to success is communication. I spend a lot of effort in my projects to get employees and
project members to understand the objectives and external stakeholders’ needs. Everything to
keep focus and tempo in the projects.
In short, I am one of Sweden's most experienced senior project managers in the
pharmaceutical industry, available as a consultant.
– I understand all aspects, internal and external, of project activities.
MR Project & Management Consulting, 2001-
Self-employed - consulting business, specializing in project management, business
development and marketing strategy. The business is primarily in the pharmaceutical industry,
with assignments from both pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers. The projects are
usually long and complex, where my strength is to coordinate and promote the understanding
of the objectives in all subprojects, and to establish good communications with external
stakeholders. I am used to the overall responsibility for the entire project.
Sigma, 2000-2001 – Business development
Sigma was a consulting group with about 3000 employees, organized in 60 subsidiaries,
operating in a wide range of IT, system solutions, project management, quality assurance and
mechanical design.
My work included business and market development. I managed a group-wide marketing
project, with the objective to coordinate all subsidiaries activities vis-à-vis the Life Science
industry (pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and health care).
I also supported one of the subsidiaries with market development and development of the
company’s long-term customer operations, including recruitment and training of staff as well as
strategies for marketing.
Food Tech, 1998-2000 - Business development
Food Tech was one of the major suppliers of process systems for the food and dairy industry.
I worked with market development, with the goal to establish operations in the pharmaceutical
industry.
An important role was to internally establish understanding of the pharmaceutical customers.
Important elements included the process of building up and developing an understanding of
validation processes, adapting the technical solutions to the pharmaceutical industry's specific
requirements, such as the degree of automation, flexibility, capacity, cleaning and regulatory
requirements. The job was also to take part in the recruitment of personnel, staffing of the
projects as well as support to projects in process supplies to the pharmaceutical industry.
Astra, (Astra Production Tablets), 1990-1998 – Project Management
Project Manager for investment projects in the manufacturing of tablets. This included a wide
range of tasks, ranging from pre-planning, technology inventory, evaluation of suppliers and
procurement to project execution and validation. My projects covered most of the production
steps in tablet production as well as activities outside production such as air treatment,
environmental projects, and utility systems. The projects included not only the installation of
the process equipment, but also new construction and remodeling of facilities.
