Professional (Polytechnic, University, MBA) with broad beta-orientated background in the fields of
agriculture and sustainability. I link different knowledge fields to create and improve added value.
Vision and experience in agronomical sustainability in environmental, social and economical way. I
have a broad educational and knowledge basis in natural science, with a focus on the plant-related
agro-food sector. Strongly content driven and also keeping an eye on the process. In a successful

March 2014 – May 2015. “Product manager greenhouse horticulture” , Scheuten Glass Venlo,
The Netherlands
Giving more publicity to a number of innovative double glass products with very good
insulating and transmissive properties. Scheuten glass has specifically designed these glass
products for the (inter)national greenhouse sector. Applying and combining glass technical,
horticultural, plant physiological and economical knowledge.
This has so far led to an increase in the number of requests for information, internal
knowledge building, new contacts and cooperation with selected parties.

2. March 2007- March 2014. Researcher/advisor and project leader “Agriculture and
Sustainability” , CLM Research and Advice, Culemborg. The Netherlands
Acquisition, realisation and management of a considerable number of various projects in
plant-related agriculture. Management of processes from acquisition to delivery and “after
sales”. This resulted in satisfied customers.
Actively involved in the development of new areas of acquisition and new markets and other
means of financing projects/activities.
September 2013-December 2013. Temporarily assigned innovation-advisor in project
“Vizier op de Toekomst ( sight on the future), Syntens, Amsterdam en Alkmaar.
Scouting of initiatives and the formation of potential cluster of agro-related firms. This with
the aim to strengthen the agribusiness in the province of North-Holland. Part of the
activities was the further development of the initial ideas.
May 2000-December 2006. Advisor, researcher and project leader “Sustainable
horticulture” , VEK Adviesgroep B.V. , ‘s- Gravenzande.
Involved in various projects, for example marketing research for both Dutch and foreign
principals (including parties from Iceland, Spain, Ethiopia, Nicaragua, Costa Rica) and the
World bank. Presenting results and recommendations.
Applying licences for greenhouse growers. Intensive involvement in nominations for hosting
the Floriade 2012. Strong involvement in the submission of greenhouse concept for a
designer contest “Greenhouse as energy source”. Our concept was seen as one of the top
25% of all submissions.
January 1998- April 2000. Researcher/advisor “Environmental management and
environmental policy for SME’s, EIM, Zoetermeer.
Involved in environmental research, both as part of a team and on an individual basis. One
of projects was the reinforcement of sustainable coffee growing. Development of “self scan
to determine level of sustainability” for coffee growers in Costa Rica. This implied
combining environmental and agronomical knowledge, based on number of field trips to
coffee farms and processing plants Costa Rica.
October 1996-December 1997. Researcher environmental issues in agricultural and
industrial sectors, TNO Study centre for Technology and Policy (TNO-STB), Apeldoorn.
Research at the acceptance of environmental technologies by enterprises. Presentation of
this research for a number of international researchers in Stockholm. Sweden.

3. Other relevant experiences and activities
Member of the representative advisory body of primary school St Nicolaasschool in
Nibbixwoud.
Growing (on a semi-professional level) of kiwiberries (Actinidia Arguta) and active in
marketing and sales of this product.
Participation in open competition COM/A/1/02 Administrators A7/A6 in the field of
environment. This resulted in a position on the so-called reserve list (preference) for
functions at the European Commission. November 2002-March 2004.
Volunteer for NGO “Boys Town Society” in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu, India. Activities were
design, development and building of two types of hot water solar collectors, including
purchasing materials and knowledge transfer.
Committee member of non-profit foundation “Boys and Girls Towns” in Wassenaar. This
foundation is aimed at supporting the development of underprivileged children in South-
India. Portfolio “external relations and communication” (2000-2005)
Committee member staff association VEK Adviesgroep (2001-2006), amongst other things
organisation of activities and annual excursion/pleasure-trips.
In 1995 en 1997 in temporary job worked as a laboratory worker for ID-DLO in Lelystad in
