Semantic enrichment is an active area of development for many publishers. Our enrichment processes are based on the use of different Knowledge Models (e.g., an ontology or thesaurus) which provide the terms required to describe different subject disciplines. The CrossRef Taxonomy Interest Group (link to: http://taxonomies.labs.crossref.org/) is a collaboration among publishers, and sponsored by CrossRef, to share the Knowledge Models they are using, creating opportunities for standardization, collaboration and interoperability. This webinar was an introduction to the work this group is doing, use cases for the information collected were presented as were examples of how your organization can contribute to the project.
