And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary. And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 2. POGLAVLJE 1
Sedmi sin Jakova i Bilhe. Onaj
ljubomorni. On savjetuje protiv ljutnje
govoreći da "daje neobičnu viziju." Ovo
je značajna teza o ljutnji.
1 Prepis riječi Danovih, koje je govorio
svojim sinovima u svojim posljednjim
danima, u stotinu dvadeset i petoj
godini svoga života.
2 Jer on sazva svoju obitelj i reče:
Poslušajte moje riječi, sinovi Danovi; i
poslušaj riječi svoga oca.
3 Dokazao sam u svom srcu i cijelim
4 Priznajem vam, dakle, danas, djeco
moja, da sam u svom srcu odlučio o
smrti mog brata Josipa, pravog i dobrog
čovjeka. .
6 Jer duh ljubomore i taštine reče mi: "I
ti si njegov sin."
7 I jedan od duhova Beliara me
jare.
9 Ali Bog mojih otaca nije dopustio da
mi padne u ruke, da ga nađem samog i
ubijem ga, i učinim da se uništi drugo
pleme u Izraelu.
10 A sada, djeco moja, evo ja umirem, i
priznaje ga.
13 Jer ga duh gnjeva okružuje mrežom
prijevare i zasljepljuje mu oči, a laž mu
zamračuje um i daje mu vlastitu viziju.
14 I čime su obuhvaćene njegove oči? S
mržnjom u srcu, tako da je zavidan
svome bratu.
15 Jer ljutnja je zla stvar, djeco moja,
jer uznemiruje čak i samu dušu.
16 I tijelo gnjevnog čovjeka čini svojim,
i nad njegovom dušom preuzima vlast, i
nepravdu.
17 I kad tijelo čini sve te stvari, duša
opravdava ono što je učinjeno, budući
da ne vidi dobro.
18 Stoga onaj koji je gnjevan, ako je
moćan čovjek, ima trostruku moć u
svom gnjevu: jednu pomoću svojih
slugu; a drugi svojim bogatstvom,
kojim uvjerava i nepravedno pobjeđuje;
i treće, imajući vlastitu prirodnu moć,
on time čini zlo.
takve u bezakonju.
20 Ovaj duh uvijek ide s laži s desne
strane Sotone, da se okrutnošću i lažima
mogu izvršiti njegova djela.
21 Shvatite, dakle, snagu gnjeva, da je
isprazna.
ljut.
25 Ako padnete u kakav gubitak ili
propast, djeco moja, ne patite; jer
upravo ovaj duh tjera čovjeka da želi
ono što je propadljivo, kako bi se
razbjesnio zbog nevolje.
26 I ako pretrpite gubitak dobrovoljno
ili nehotice, nemojte se ljutiti; jer iz
uzrujanosti nastaje srdžba s laži.
27 Štoviše, dvostruka je zloća srdžba s
laži; i pomažu jedni drugima kako bi
uznemirili srce; i kada je duša
neprestano uznemirena, Gospodin
odlazi od nje, a Beliar vlada njome.
2. POGLAVLJE
Proročanstvo o grijesima, ropstvu,
kugama i konačnoj restituciji nacije. Jo
š uvijek govore o Edenu (vidi stih 18).
Stih 23 je izvanredan u svjetlu
proročanstva.
1 Držite se, dakle, djeco moja,
zapovijedi Gospodnjih i držite se
njegova zakona; odstupi od gnjeva i
mrzi laž, da Gospodin može prebivati
među vama, a Beliar može pobjeći od
vas.
2 Govorite istinu svaki sa svojim
bližnjim. Tako nećete pasti u gnjev i
smutnju; ali bit ćete u miru, imajući
Boga mira, pa vas rat neće nadvladati.
3 Ljubite Gospodina cijelim životom
svojim i jedni druge iskrenim srcem.
stajati.
5 I kad god odstupite od Gospodina,
hodit ćete u svakom zlu i činit ćete
Gospodinom.
7 Moji će se sinovi približiti Leviju i
griješit će s njima u svemu; a sinovi
Judini bit će pohlepni, grabiti će tuđu
imovinu poput lavova.
8 Zato ćete biti odvedeni s njima u
ropstvo, i ondje ćete primiti sve pošasti
Egipta i sva zla pogana.
9 I tako kad se vratite Gospodinu, dobit
ćete milost, i on će vas uvesti u svoje
svetište, i dat će vam mir.
10 I iz plemena Judina i Levijeva ustati
će vam spasenje Gospodnje; i ratovat će
protiv Beliara.
11 I izvrši vječnu osvetu nad našim
neprijateljima; i zatočeništvo će uzeti iz
Beliara duše svetih, i okrenuti neposluš
12 I sveci će počivati u Edenu, iu
Novom Jeruzalemu radovat će se
4. pravednici, i bit će to na slavu Božju
zauvijek.
13 Jeruzalem više neće trpjeti pustoš
enja, niti će Izrael biti odveden u
ropstvo; jer će Gospodin biti usred
njega [živjeti među ljudima], a Svetac
Izraelov vladat će njime u poniznosti i
siromaštvu; i onaj koji vjeruje u Njega
vladat će među ljudima u istini.
14 A sada, bojte se Gospoda, djeco
moja, i čuvajte se sotone i njegovih
duhova.
on će ustati protiv kraljevstva
neprijatelja.
16 Stoga neprijatelj žarko želi uništiti
sve koji zazivaju Gospodina.
17 Jer on zna da će na dan kada se
Izrael pokaje, kraljevstvo neprijatelja
biti dovedeno do kraja.
18 Jer će sam anđeo mira ojačati Izraela
da ne padne u krajnost zla.
19 I bit će u vrijeme bezakonja
ravan.
20 Njegovo će ime biti na svakom
mjestu u Izraelu i među poganima.
21 Čuvajte se, dakle, djeco moja, od
svakog zlog djela, i odbacite gnjev i
svaku laž, i ljubite istinu i
dugotrpljivost.
naroda primi; jer on je istinit i
dugotrpljiv, krotak i ponizan, i svojim
djelima naučava zakon Božji.
23 Odstupite dakle od svake
nepravednosti i prionite uz Božju
pravednost i vaš će rod biti spašen
zauvijek.
24 I pokopajte me kraj mojih očeva.
25 Kad je to rekao, poljubio ih je i
zaspao u dubokoj starosti.
26 Njegovi su ga sinovi pokopali, a
zatim su iznijeli njegove kosti i stavili
ih blizu Abrahama, Izaka i Jakova.
27 Ipak, Dan im je prorekao da će
zaboraviti svoga Boga i da će se otuđiti
od zemlje svoje ba š tine i od rase
Izraelove, i od obitelji svoga potomstva.
