This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

Croatian Pupils’ Impressions about the Mobility in Romania
1. Croatian Pupils’ Impressions
about the Mobility in Romania
”As part of the Erasmus project, on Saturday October 7 we started our journey,
our ultimate goal being the Romanian city of Sibiu. After a few hours of driving
through Hungary we stopped in one of the Hungarian neighborhoods where we
were swimming in a spa, and after supper we had a break in a hotel. On Sunday
morning we continued our journey to Romania where we arrived at noon. There,
our hosts, teachers and pupils from the city of Sibiu met us with their parents.
We saw their beautiful city and then went to our hosts where we were staying
for the next five days. In the following days we visited the old Transylvanian
castle, visited a museum in Sibiu, hiked on a mountain in the beautiful landscape
of Transylvania and daily shared meals with their teachers and families. In the
family I lived in, I learned a lot about their customs and lifestyle, and I learned a
few Romanian words. Saturday came a bit too fast and after breakfast we went
back to our Croatia and to our loved ones who were already beginning to miss
us a bit. A week spent in Romania and the acquired friendships will remain in
my memories forever.” (Ines Lesjak)
”This month I was in Romania with the Erasmus project. I think it was great. I
spent a lot of time learning new things about Romania and ecology. I met a lot
of new friends and saw other people's culture. I think I spent quality time and
2. saw many new things in Romania. My favourite trip was in the mountains
because od the amaizing view and nature. I am also happy that I could talk and
practice my English. I liked the Astra museum a lot because I learned something
about the history of Romania and how the people there used to live. I miss
Romania very much and I hope that I will be able to see it at least once more.”
(Lara Mikulić)
”On Saturday morning the students from Croatia headed on a trip to Romania.
After several hours passed, we stoped to have rest in Hungary. We had a tour in
Hungary and we ate at McDonald's. When the evening came we stayed at
„Grand Hotel Glorious“. We also went to the pool nearby. On the second day
we arrived in Romania. Students met their hosts. On the same day we went on
the first trip in Romania. In the evening the students went to hosts' homes and
met the hosts' parents. The rest of the week we went on all kinds of trips. Some
of those trips were: climbing on the Carpathian Mountains, seeing the town
hall, visiting a salt mine. In free time we would usually hang around, but
sometimes the host families would take us to private trips and tours. First we
went to the restaurant and had lunch. We tried a traditional dessert called
"Papanash". We also saw breeding pools for fish. The following day we went to
the "Arka park" and had a lot of fun climbing various installations. On the last
day we wisited my hosts' grandparents, ate traditional food and played with
chickens. The host and their families were very friendly. We would usually get
a large breakfast at the hosts and then go on a trip during the rest of the day. In
the evening we would sit down, watch videos on TV and talk. We learned a lot
about Sibiu and Romania, people there were very friendly. I hope I will one
day again come to Romania on my own.” (Vito Burz)
3. ”When we started our jouney on the 7th of October, I was very excited and I
was looking forward to the new and interesting things I would see and
experience. And yes, during the unforgettable week we visited a house that was
entirely made of natural materials, the Astra Museum, we hiked, we visited their
school where we were beautifully met with homemade food and songs. Our
hosts were very kind and caring. It was an unforgettable week. Thanks to
everyone in Romania who made their effort to make us feel comfortable in their
country and to be kind.” (Lara Topolnjak)
