This document provides instructions for students to complete a lesson on analyzing crisp packet design. It instructs students to like the English Language & Literature Facebook page, log into Moodle, and print documents. Students will then identify genre, purpose, and audience influences on a sample crisp packet and list genre conventions. Finally, in groups, students will design a new brand of crisps by creating an original crisp packet. The summary is in 3 sentences.

relevant English Language & Literature page;
Log in to Moodle, enrol on the English Language &
Literature page – then print off some key documents;
Identify the key contextual influences on the packet of
crisps that you have brought to class, e.g. GENRE, PURPOSE
& AUDIENCE;
List the GENRE CONVENTIONS of a crisp packet;
In groups, design (using the GENRE CONVENTIONS) a new
brand of crisps – creating a crisp packet for your
product.
