Editor's Notes
This presentation was created as part of a district wide inservice on an overview of the NET-S.
Make note that these are things the STUDENTS are expected to do.
Very important to emphasize the use of technology in these standards. Note that there are different levels of technology ranging from simple to complex. Picture is from a 2010 edition of Fast Company quoting, "Tech is Making Kids Smarter Everywhere." Girls are 3 years old and learned their ABCs on the iPhone.
Students will be forced to work collaboratively in all future jobs. They will be asked to express themselves creatively.
Child using a microscope to investigate complex systems.
We are all familiar with this as we will be looking at our school data this week.
Ask teachers if they think they are already accomplishing this standard in their classrooms. Take a few suggestions from teachers.
