  • #5 Defibrillation –process in which an elwctronic device gives an electric shock to the heart --helps reestablish normal contraction rythms BVM—bag valve mask or ambu bag---self inflating bag-----positive pressure ventilation sharps container is a container that is filled with used medical needles (and other sharp medical instruments, such as an IVcatheter). Sharing needles is often the cause of AIDS (HIV) and other blood-borne infections spreading among intravenous drug users.
  • #7 Back board—supporting,fracture patient
  • #8 group of pharmaceuticals that are used to suppress abnormal rhythms of the heart such as atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, ventricular tachycardia, and ventricular fibrillation—used in cardiac dysrhyyhmias Bretylium tosilate -chemical defibrillator Lidocaine –local anaesthetic-- numb tissue in a specific area and to treat ventricular tachycardia
  • #9 Sodium bicarbonate -alkalinizing agent Magnesium chloride – chemical defibrillator
  • #10 Gauze-tie endotracheal tubes in place
  • #12 Vacutainer blood collection tube is a sterile glass or plastic tube with a closure that is evacuated to create a vacuum inside the tube
  • #13 IV Catheters Scalp vein set Intraosseous catheter or bone marrow needle Vacutainers canula
  • #16 Razores--shaving Fash light ----power failure
  • #17 checked regularly and maintained Expiration dates on medications removed and replaced
