1. WHAT IS COVID-19 OR MORE COMMONLY KNOWN AS
CORONAVIRUS
• CoronaVirus, Like any other Virus is basically a hull
around genetic materials & few proteins, Arguably
not even a Living entity & it needs a Living host to
multiply.
• The parent virus that causes the Covid-19(what
everyone simply calls corona virus) is called the
Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome-Related
CoronaVirus 2(acronym SARS-CoV-2)
2. ORIGIN
 In Dec-2019, the Chinese Authorities notified the
world that a Virus was spreading through their
communities.
 In The following months , it spread to other
countries with cases doubling within days.
 An analysis of public genome sequence data from
SARS-CoV-2 and related viruses found no evidence
that the virus was made in a laboratory or otherwise
engineered.
3. HOW EXACTLY CORONA AFFECTS THE BODY
Step 1
 It's main way of spreading as of now found out is
mainly droplet infection or via touching who is
already affected.
 The Main areas of our body that covid-19 targets is
the throat , intestine , lungs and spleen where it can
have the most dramatic affect.
Corona connects to the membranes of the epithelial cells'
specific receptor called the ACE2 to injects its genetic materials.
Cells Being ignorant to the information simply executes the
instruction which is basically copy and multiply.
Let’s Discuss Details:-
An infected Cell, ultimately gets the instruction to suicide releasing more corona particles infecting other healthy cells
exponentially.
Step 2
 In phase 2,Corona hits the body more negatively by turning our very own immune system against us.
It affects some of the immune cells to create confusion and ask for more immune cells like
Neutrophiles and Killer T Cells sending them into a fighting frenzy.
 Within 10 days millions of cells are affected and
billions of virus particles are swarming the body.
 In wake of this development immune cells release
more and more enzyme destroying more friends
than enemies.
Step 3
 The immune system has fought for days in full capacity and now running on reserve power leaving the
body prone to bacterial attacks and it gets overwhelmed.
 in this case, Death is very Likely.
4.CORONA VS FLU
 Fever and/or chills
 Cough (usually dry)
 Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
 Tiredness (sometimes)
 Aches and pains (sometimes)
 Headaches (sometimes)
 Sore throat (sometimes)
FluCorona
 Fever and/or chills
 Cough (usually dry)
 Fatigue
 Aches and pains
 Runny or stuffy nose (sometimes)
 Sore throat (sometimes)
 Diarrhea (sometimes in children)
Although the corona Virus is often compared to the flu but its much more dangerous.Death rate is
uncertain due to ongoing scenarios where its expanding on several fronts exponentially.
5.CORONA: SLOW OR FAST PANDEMIC??
 If large number of people start getting
sick at the same time , then it turns
into a fast Pandemic without any
counter measures.
 A slow Pandemic is one where virus spreads slowly it
is not remembered and is easily forgotten.
IN A FAST PANDEMIC
HealthCare
system Collapse
Insufficiency of
resources say,
Ventilaters,
Beds, gloves,
masks etc.
More and More
health care
workers getting
sick and dying
themselves
Financial &
Social Condition
of population
worsen
Humanity faces
horrible
decisions who
gets to live &
who doesn’t
This is why we need to turn it into a slow pandemic.
6.STATISTICS
• As of March 31st ,CoronaVirus cases across the globe has reached 802,748
• Total death tolls is at 39,019
• Total Recovered patient count is 172,319
• In India, Infection cases reached 1251 with 32 deaths
• World Live tracker can be checked, here
• For complete analysis of records by WHO , click here
7.FLATTENING THE CURVE
 Since we don't have a vaccine for corona yet, We need
to socially engineer our behavior to work as a Social
Vaccine.
 which simply means two steps:-
In simple Words,
How we can do these two things are by
following steps:-
 Washing our hands. Soap molecules break
apart the fat membrane protecting the virus
as well as making skin slippery and with
mechanical motion of water virus get ripped
away making them unable to infect.
The next thing includes
 Physical Distancing
Next includes ,
Stay Home
 If possible work from home, enabling other
frontlines like doctors and police to do their
jobs much more efficiently.
Quarantine
 It can mean Travel Restrictions and
lockdown depending upon the different
parts of the globe.
4. SUMMING ALL UP
Neither Focus nor
spread rumours
Do Support The
Globe in Vaccine
Testing and
Financial Aids
Cover coughs or
sneezes with
disposable tissues
or clothes
Avoid public
gatherings
Wash your hands
frequently
Avoid close
contact with
subjects suffering
