1. Cost Analyst Job Description
Monday-Friday: 8:00-5:00
Location: Federal Way, WA
The candidate should be a self-starter, eager to learn and have strong communication
skills to work with internal customers. Will work in an office environment, but is
expected to be highly familiar with all production operations and physical inventory.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
Financial Cost Analysis and Reporting
• Construct, validate and monitor data accumulation for financial reporting
• Provide cost analysis results to assist senior management in decision making or other
financial initiatives.
• Perform variance analysis between actual and standard costs.
• Monitor, analyze and report on inventory valuation, production and various other costs.
• Provide productivity analysis.
• Review and analyze product margins for all customers and support Sales department
with timely reports.
• Review reporting for trends and investigate abnormalities
• Perform other related duties as required to meet the goals and objectives of the company
and Finance Department
Cost Accounting
• Partner with Operations to update and review standard and actual costs
• Review monthly manufacturing cost activity during monthly close cycle
• Monitor cycle counting processes and variances
• Validate inventory cost reporting
• Partner with operations to be an onsite resource for physical inventory counts
• Partner with operations to review and analyze overstock and obsolete statement
quarterly
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2+ year Accounting or Finance degree (minimum requirement) 4 year degree preferred
• 2+ years experience in a manufacturing
• Strong analytical skills
• Superior Excel skills including pivots and vlookups
• Exposure to Access and Word
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Experience with Oracle reporting systems preferred
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
