The document proposes a correlation measure for intuitionistic fuzzy multi sets (IFMS). IFMS are an extension of intuitionistic fuzzy sets that allow elements to have multiple membership and non-membership values. The document defines IFMS and reviews existing correlation measures for fuzzy and intuitionistic fuzzy sets. It then proposes a new correlation similarity measure for IFMS that is an extension of existing intuitionistic fuzzy set correlation measures. This new measure takes into account the multiple membership and non-membership values of elements in IFMS. Examples are provided to demonstrate properties of the new correlation measure.

In the present paper a numerical attempt is made to study the combined effects of heat source and sink on unsteady laminar boundary layer flow of a viscous, incompressible, electrically conducting fluid along a semiinfinite vertical plate. A magnetic field of uniform strength is applied normal to the flow. The governing boundary layer equations are solved numerically, using Crank-Nicolson method. Graphical results of velocity and temperature fields, tabular values of Skin-friction and Nusselt are presented and discussed at various parametric conditions. From this study, it is found that the velocity and temperature of the fluid increase in the presence of heat source but they decrease in the presence of heat absorption parameter.

Expectation maximization (EM) algorithm is a popular and powerful mathematical method for parameter estimation in case that there exist both observed data and hidden data. The EM process depends on an implicit relationship between observed data and hidden data which is specified by a mapping function in traditional EM and a joint probability density function (PDF) in practical EM. However, the mapping function is vague and impractical whereas the joint PDF is not easy to be defined because of heterogeneity between observed data and hidden data. The research aims to improve competency of EM by making it more feasible and easier to be specified, which removes the vagueness. Therefore, the research proposes an assumption that observed data is the combination of hidden data which is realized as an analytic function where data points are numerical. In other words, observed points are supposedly calculated from hidden points via regression model. Mathematical computations and proofs indicate feasibility and clearness of the proposed method which can be considered as an extension of EM.
In real life situations, there are many issues in which we face uncertainties, vagueness, complexities and unpredictability. Neutrosophic sets are a mathematical tool to address some issues which cannot be met using the existing methods. Neutrosophic soft matrices play a crucial role in handling indeterminant and inconsistent information during decision making process. The main focus of this article is to discuss the concept of neutrosophic sets, neutrosophic soft sets and neutrosophic soft matrices theory which are very useful and applicable in various situations involving uncertainties and imprecisions. Thereafter our intention is to find a new method for constructing a decision matrix using neutrosophic soft matrices as an application of the theory. A neutrosophic soft matrix based algorithm is considered to solve some problems in the diagnosis of a disease from the occurrence of various symptoms in patients. This article deals with patient-symptoms and symptoms-disease neutrosophic soft matrices. To come to a decision, a score matrix is defined where multiplication based on max-min operation and complementation of neutrosophic soft matrices are taken into considerations.

In this paper a novel technique implementing Bernstein polynomials is introduced for the numerical solution of a Loveβs integral equations. The Loveβs integral equation is a class of second kind Fredholm integral equations, and it can be used to describe the capacitance of the parallel plate capacitor (PPC) in the electrostatic field.This numerical technique developed by Huabsomboon et al. bases on using Taylor-series expansion [1], [2], [3] and [4]. We compare the numerical solution using Bernstein technique with the numerical solution obtained by using Chebyshev expansion. It is shown that the numerical results are excellent.

We further obtain its solutions under given conditions for the prediction of expected value of assets given

The numerical solution of Huxley equation by the use of two finite difference methods is done. The first one is the explicit scheme and the second one is the Crank-Nicholson scheme. The comparison between the two methods showed that the explicit scheme is easier and has faster convergence while the Crank-Nicholson scheme is more accurate. In addition, the stability analysis using Fourier (von Neumann) method of two schemes is investigated. The resulting analysis showed that the first scheme

In this article, we plan to use Bezier curves method to solve linear fuzzy delay differential equations. A Bezier curves method is presented and modified to solve fuzzy delay problems taking the advantages of the fuzzy set theory properties. The approximate solution with different degrees is compared to the exact solution to confirm that the linear fuzzy delay differential equations process is accurate and efficient. Numerical example is explained and analyzed involved first order linear fuzzy delay differential equations to demonstrate these proper features of this proposed problem.

The membership and non-membership values are not always possible up to our satisfaction, but in deterministic (hesitation) part has more important role here, the fact that in decision making, particularly in case of medical diagnosis, there is a fair chance of the existence of a non-zero hesitation part at each moment of evaluation.

Abstract: The use of computers in health education started more than a decade ago, mainly for tailoring health educational resources. Nowadays, many of the computer-tailoring health education systems are using the Internet for delivering different types of health education. Traditionally, these systems are designed for a specific health problem, with a predefined library of educational resources. These systems do not take advantage of the increasing amount of educational resources available on the Internet. One of the reasons is that the high availability of content is making it more difficult to find the relevant one. The problem of information overload has been addressed for many years in the field of recommender systems. This paper is focused on the challenges and opportunities of merging recommender systems with personalized health education. It also discusses the usage of social networks and semantic technologies within this approach.

Abstract
This paper focuses on the design of a low power and high performance FPGA based Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) controller for three phase implementation for Servo control Application. A new method is proposed to realize easy, accurate and high performance SVPWM technique based on FPGA with low resource consumption and reduced execution time than conventional methods. The FPGA based SVPWM generation involves a digital controller implementation to execute the algorithm and DQ reference generator gives reference vector signal to the controller. The controller in turn controls the PLL generator to generate pulse width modulated clock for three phases. The PLL generator is sourced by clock generator. Experimental results are presented for SVPWM architecture synthesized on standard low-cost FPGA chips, showing very good linearity and resolutions up to 1ns.

Inclusion of coconut coir fiber in soil mixed with coal asheSAT Journals

Abstract An experimental study is conducted on local soil i.e. silty sand (SM) mixed with varying percentage of coal ash and coconut coir fiber. Unconfined compressive strength (UCS) and California bearing ratio (CBR) tests are conducted on the soil mixed with coal ash/coir fiber/ both. The percentage of coal ash by dry weight of soil is taken as 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%. A significant increase in UCS and CBR value is observed for addition of 20% of coal ash in the soil.UCS value is maximum (1.81 kg/cm2) for 20% coal ash mixed with soil. The unsoaked and soaked CBR values as 10.5% and 5.6% increase to 27.7% and 14.6%, respectively. Rate of increase in CBR values decreased after further addition of coal ash beyond 20%. Randomly mixed coconut coir fiber is included in optimum soil-coal ash mix (i.e. 80% soil and 20% coal ash) and varied as 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.0%. UCS value increases substantially with inclusion of coconut coir fiber in soil - coal ash mix. The optimum percentage of soil-coal ash-coir fiber mix is arrived at 79.75:20:0.25 (by weight). Adding of these waste materials (coal ash + coconut coir fiber) results in the increase strength of soil and less thickness of pavement due to increased CBR of mix and hence saving of the stone aggregates in base and sub-base course for sustainable development in construction of highway. Abstract
According to the structural point of view Industrial Pallet rack structure can be considered typical steel framed structure. This work presents a general analysis of an industrial pallet rack structure, evaluating the influence of each of the components on the global stability. An analytical study for the sensitivity of pallet rack configuration in linear static equivalent lateral loads. The aim is to braced/unbraced frames were design and their analytical models are to be built in software. The finite element analysis is used to determine axial forces in beam and column, maximum storey displacement and buckling loads on braced/unbraced pallet rack structure. Bracing systems are mostly provided to enhance the stiffness factor of the structures with the seismic loads. Unbraced systems have mostly translational modes of failure and are very flexible due to excessive loads.

Abstract
This paper focuses on the design of a low power and high performance FPGA based Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) controller for three phase implementation for Servo control Application. A new method is proposed to realize easy, accurate and high performance SVPWM technique based on FPGA with low resource consumption and reduced execution time than conventional methods. The FPGA based SVPWM generation involves a digital controller implementation to execute the algorithm and DQ reference generator gives reference vector signal to the controller. The controller in turn controls the PLL generator to generate pulse width modulated clock for three phases. The PLL generator is sourced by clock generator. Experimental results are presented for SVPWM architecture synthesized on standard low-cost FPGA chips, showing very good linearity and resolutions up to 1ns.

Inclusion of coconut coir fiber in soil mixed with coal asheSAT Journals

Abstract An experimental study is conducted on local soil i.e. silty sand (SM) mixed with varying percentage of coal ash and coconut coir fiber. Unconfined compressive strength (UCS) and California bearing ratio (CBR) tests are conducted on the soil mixed with coal ash/coir fiber/ both. The percentage of coal ash by dry weight of soil is taken as 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%. A significant increase in UCS and CBR value is observed for addition of 20% of coal ash in the soil.UCS value is maximum (1.81 kg/cm2) for 20% coal ash mixed with soil. The unsoaked and soaked CBR values as 10.5% and 5.6% increase to 27.7% and 14.6%, respectively. Rate of increase in CBR values decreased after further addition of coal ash beyond 20%. Randomly mixed coconut coir fiber is included in optimum soil-coal ash mix (i.e. 80% soil and 20% coal ash) and varied as 0.25, 0.50, 0.75 and 1.0%. UCS value increases substantially with inclusion of coconut coir fiber in soil - coal ash mix. The optimum percentage of soil-coal ash-coir fiber mix is arrived at 79.75:20:0.25 (by weight). Adding of these waste materials (coal ash + coconut coir fiber) results in the increase strength of soil and less thickness of pavement due to increased CBR of mix and hence saving of the stone aggregates in base and sub-base course for sustainable development in construction of highway. Abstract
According to the structural point of view Industrial Pallet rack structure can be considered typical steel framed structure. This work presents a general analysis of an industrial pallet rack structure, evaluating the influence of each of the components on the global stability. An analytical study for the sensitivity of pallet rack configuration in linear static equivalent lateral loads. The aim is to braced/unbraced frames were design and their analytical models are to be built in software. The finite element analysis is used to determine axial forces in beam and column, maximum storey displacement and buckling loads on braced/unbraced pallet rack structure. Bracing systems are mostly provided to enhance the stiffness factor of the structures with the seismic loads. Unbraced systems have mostly translational modes of failure and are very flexible due to excessive loads.

Abstract
A Missile is a self-propelled guided weapon system that travels through air or space. A powered, guided munitions that travels through the air or space is known as a missile (or guided missile). The Missile is defined as a space transversing unmanned vehicle that contains the means for controlling its flight path. The aerodynamic characteristics of a missile components such as body, wing and tail are calculated by using analytical methods to predict the drag and the normal forces of the missile. The total drag of the body is computed by using the parasite drag, wave drag, skin friction drag and base drag. The wing surface normal force coefficient (CN)Wing is a function of Mach number, local angle of attack, aspect ratio, and the wing surface plan form area (CN)Wing , based on the missile reference area, decreases with increasing supersonic Mach number and increases with angle of attack and the wing surface area. When the wing surface area is reduced the total weight of the missile and drag are reduced thereby increasing the lift and achieve excessive stability.

Abstract As a result of decreasing the cost of steel structures and increasing the stiffness of steel members, several new methods have been adopted. Castellated beams are one of the solutions .Castellated beams refer to a metal beam in which the web portion is firstly divided by a zigzag cut along its lengthwise direction and then welding together its two halves. During welding, the two halves are joined together in such a way that holes are formed in the web portion. This increases the depth of the section and thereby its strength. Castellation means holes. Openings are provided in web portion for the allowance of passage of services through the beam. As the provisions are provided through the web portions, it will help to reduce the effective floor depth. For roofs supported by cambered beams, aesthetic beauty may be considered as an advantage. As castellated beams are same as that of a solid beam, its erection is not a difficult task. In this paper, experimental analysis was conducted to compare the deflection of steel beam without web opening and castellated beam having hexagonal and circular opening. ISMB 150 was selected as the parent section and was used for the fabrication of castellated beams with hexagonal openings and circular openings (cellular beam). Experimental analysis was performed and from that the better shape was determined. Experimental analysis showed that castellated beams having hexagonal openings have more load carrying capacity and lesser deflection as compared to solid beam and beam with circular openings. Abstract In the present scenario the application of robots is quite common to reduce the human effort in several areas. The stair climbing robots are used to climb the stairs for different applications up to now, but the main disadvantage of the rugged terrain robots is not adjustable according to the structure of the stairs. To overcome this, we have developed an adjustable stair climbing robot to climb the stairs up and down according to the dimensions of the staircase by using adjustable frame. The main features of the robot include the platform which is attached to the adjustable frame to carry the materials up and down as per the motor capacity. The main application of this robot is to check the urban areas by carrying the materials on the platform for rescue operations. Abstract
Unwanted noises have a negative influence over communication because it disturbs the conversation and make the communication impossible. Speech enhancement algorithms are used for improving the quality and intelligibility or to reduce listener fatigues. Assessment of speech quality can be done by using either subjective listening test or objective quality measure. Evaluation of several objective measures with the speech processed by enhancement algorithms has been performed but these having limitations to assess original speech signal. This paper represents the study of speech quality measures and compute the values used for regression analyses of the objective measures evaluation study using spectral subtraction algorithm based enhanced speech signal.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of alcohol soaking treatment on the fiber surface in the physical and mechanical properties of banana fibers and to determine the effect of fiber tensile load when mixed with an epoxy resin with a volume fraction in the form of pull. The results obtained from this study was the influence of alcohol soaking treatment on the surface of banana fiber on the physical properties and mechanical properties of banana fiber are not suitable, because it just makes banana fiber strength becomes strong or fragile. The influence of tensile load of fiber when mixed with an epoxy resin with a volume fraction of 50: 50 in the form of pull sufficient effect on the tensile strength of the composite, as it makes the tensile strength of the composite itself to be increased or stronger. A comprehensive research work on High Performance Cement Concrete (HPCC) pavements is being conducted at Bangalore
University. As a part of the study static flexural strengths are determined for Conventional Concrete (CC), Silica Fume Concrete
(SFC), High Volume Fly Ash Concrete (HVFAC), Fiber Reinforced Concrete (FRC), and Fiber Reinforced High Volume Fly Ash
Concrete (FRHVFAC) using third point loading in the laboratory. Laboratory fatigue teats were also carried out on HPCC beam
specimens and number of repetitions to failure determined. Using the results fatigue models and stress charts were developed and slab
thicknesses of the HPCCs designed. In this paper an attempt is made to analyze the HPCC pavements using a 2-D Finite Element
Analysis (FEA) software - KENPAVE. The critical flexural stresses obtained using the FEA software are compared with stresses
obtained from the experimental study. The design life of the HPCC pavements is also analyzed using the FEA software. The variation
in flexural stresses as obtained from FEA software when compared with actual flexural stresses ranges from 5 to 6 %. Damage
analysis using FEA software shows that predicted design life obtained ranges from 1 to 12 % for various HPCCs. The 12 % variation
is for Fiber Reinforced HPCCs indicating that the design life of fiber reinforced HPCCs are more.

Abstract This paper explains the design of new type of leaf spring which has an integrated damper system. It has been designed by keeping in mind the various necessities of a vehicle moving on a surface which is subjected to a number of vibration forces. The main objective of having this new design is to improve ride quality and increase the overall life of the leaf spring in general by reducing the intensity of forces on its surface. By implementing this design, the forces acting on it are distributed to the two dampers and to the bottom of the leaf. This helps in the overall balancing of the forces which in turn improves the comfort level and also the increases the lifespan of the component. The results are compared with that of a standard leaf spring. The design is done using the Autodesk Inventor software and the analysis is completed using ANSYS static structural 14.5. Abstract
The paper presents the comparison of the effect of different standard loadings on a set of reinforced concrete bridge decks using the
finite-element method. The parameters investigated include the aspect ratio (span/width) and type of loading. The investigations are
conducted on two lane slab bridge decks of span 5m to 9.5m and two lane T beam bridge decks of span 7.5m to 20m. A total of 36
bridge models were analyzed. The variation of different critical structural response parameters such as deflection, longitudinal
bending moment, transverse moment, shear force and torsional moments are evaluated for IRC loading (IRC Class A and 70R
loadings), AASHTO loading (HL93) and Euro standard loading (LM1). The results shows that the maximum difference in deflection
and longitudinal bending moment for the two IRC standard loading ranges from 5 to 15%. While the difference between
corresponding values for the AASHTO loading in the range of 5 to 17%. The maximum axle load of euro standard loading is found to
be 2.2 times higher than IRC class A loading maximum axle load hence the values of structural response parameters are increased by
1.7 to 1.8 times. Therefore there is a need for adopting simplified and more realistic standard loads in the future.

Abstract Nowadays many companies are unable to prove their performance, because they do not practice the TQM concepts in- total. In order to increase the awareness, certain TQM techniques are suggested to enhance overall performance of the organisations. Here an effort is made to apply two important basic concepts of TQM which are i)continuous improvement of production process by applying newer and innovative methods ii)establishing performance measures for the processes .This paper uses the real experimental results of cartons making industry which comprises the four machines such as Printing , Punching , Gluer and Lamination machines. We get all the machines input and output details, and then made certain suggestions based on the input values of all the four machines. Presently the four machines output values such as Availability, Performance, Quality and Overall Equipment Effectiveness are very low compared with the world class industry. In order to increase them it is suggested to reduce the downtime and other non-productive time by adopting certain simple TQM techniques. Abstract Knowing the character of urban growth, especially the city which has been hit by tsunami, is an important issue in urban planning. This article reports the initial finding of the character of urban growth after tsunami disaster viewed from several aspects such as growth pattern, population, and urban economic development. This study employed descriptive analysis method based on the data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics and the satellite images of 2005 and 2009. The result of analysis showed that the urban growth after the tsunami lasted in infill and expansion basis. The population growth was not yet balanced with the growth of built-up area. The growth was influenced by population growth and economic development, even though it was not yet encouraging in reducing the rate of poverty. The growth of built-up area should be well controlled so that it has sufficient green space and cultural conservation areas to support sustainable development. right hand side of the system constant, modification of the left hand side intuitionistic fuzzy matrix A has

Abstract
The effect of addition of mono fibers and hybrid fibers on the mechanical properties of concrete mixture is studied in the present
investigation. Steel fibers of 1% and polypropylene fibers 0.036% were added individually to the concrete mixture as mono fibers and
then they were added together to form a hybrid fiber reinforced concrete. Mechanical properties such as compressive, split tensile and
flexural strength were determined. The results show that hybrid fibers improve the compressive strength marginally as compared to
mono fibers. Whereas, hybridization improves split tensile strength and flexural strength noticeably.

Abstract
The objective of the present study is to understand about all the problems occurring in the company because of improper application
of material management. In construction project operation, often there is a project cost variance in terms of the material, equipments,
manpower, subcontractor, overhead cost, and general condition. Material is the main component in construction projects. Therefore,
if the material management is not properly managed it will create a project cost variance. Project cost can be controlled by taking
corrective actions towards the cost variance. Therefore a methodology is used to diagnose and evaluate the procurement process
involved in material management and launch a continuous improvement was developed and applied. A thorough study was carried
out along with study of cases, surveys and interviews to professionals involved in this area. As a result, a methodology for diagnosis
and improvement was proposed and tested in selected projects. The results obtained show that the main problem of procurement is
related to schedule delays and lack of specified quality for the project. To prevent this situation it is often necessary to dedicate
important resources like money, personnel, time, etc. To monitor and control the process. A great potential for improvement was
detected if state of the art technologies such as, electronic mail, electronic data interchange (EDI), and analysis were applied to the
procurement process. These helped to eliminate the root causes for many types of problems that were detected.

750 m above MSL. Sub-tropical, semi-arid type is one among the drought prone districts of Karnataka State. The drought

Pavements are subjected to severe condition of stresses and weathering effects from the day they are constructed and opened to traffic
mainly due to its fatigue behavior and environmental effects. Therefore, pavement rehabilitation is one of the most important
components of entire road systems. This paper highlights the design of concrete pavement with added mono fibers like polypropylene,
steel and hybrid fibres for a widened portion of existing concrete pavement and various overlay alternatives for an existing
bituminous pavement in an urban road in Bangalore. Along with this, Life cycle cost analyses at these sections are done by Net
Present Value (NPV) method to identify the most feasible option. The results show that though the initial cost of construction of
concrete overlay is high, over a period of time it prove to be better than the bituminous overlay considering the whole life cycle cost.
The economic analysis also indicates that, out of the three fibre options, hybrid reinforced concrete would be economical without
compromising the performance of the pavement.

Abstract
The issue of growing demand on our nationβs roadways over that past couple of decades, decreasing budgetary funds, and the need to
provide a safe, efficient, and cost effective roadway system has led to a dramatic increase in the need to rehabilitate our existing
pavements and the issue of building sustainable road infrastructure in India. With these emergency of the mentioned needs and this
are todayβs burning issue and has become the purpose of the study.
In the present study, the samples of existing bituminous layer materials were collected from NH-48(Devahalli to Hassan) site.The
mixtures were designed by Marshall Method as per Asphalt institute (MS-II) at 20% and 30% Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement (RAP).
RAP material was blended with virgin aggregate such that all specimens tested for the, Dense Bituminous Macadam-II (DBM-II)
gradation as per Ministry of Roads, Transport, and Highways (MoRT&H) and cost analysis were carried out to know the economics.
Laboratory results and analysis showed the use of recycled materials showed significant variability in Marshall Stability, and the
variability increased with the increase in RAP content. The saving can be realized from utilization of recycled materials as per the
methodology, the reduction in the total cost is 19%, 30%, comparing with the virgin mixes.

Abstract
Soil stabilization has proven to be one of the oldest techniques to improve the soil properties. Literature review conducted revealed
that uses of natural inorganic stabilizers are found to be one of the best options for soil stabilization. In this regard an attempt has
been made to evaluate the influence of RBI-81 stabilizer on properties of black cotton soil through laboratory investigations. Black
cotton soil with varying percentages of RBI-81 viz., 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, and 2.5 percent were studied for moisture density relationships
and strength behaviour of soils. Also the effect of curing period was evaluated as literature review clearly emphasized the strength
gain of soils stabilized with RBI-81 over a period of time. The results obtained shows that the unconfined compressive strength of
specimens treated with RBI-81 increased approximately by 250% for a curing period of 28 days as compared to virgin soil. Further
the CBR value improved approximately by 400%. The studies indicated an increasing trend for soil strength behaviour with
increasing percentage of RBI-81 suggesting its potential applications in soil stabilization.

Abstract
Reinforced masonry was developed to exploit the strength potential of masonry and to solve its lack of tensile strength. Experimental
and analytical studies have been carried out to investigate the effect of reinforcement on the behavior of hollow concrete block
masonry prisms under compression and to predict ultimate failure compressive strength. In the numerical program, three dimensional
non-linear finite elements (FE) model based on the micro-modeling approach is developed for both unreinforced and reinforced
masonry prisms using ANSYS (14.5). The proposed FE model uses multi-linear stress-strain relationships to model the non-linear
behavior of hollow concrete block, mortar, and grout. Willam-Warnkeβs five parameter failure theory has been adopted to model the
failure of masonry materials. The comparison of the numerical and experimental results indicates that the FE models can successfully
capture the highly nonlinear behavior of the physical specimens and accurately predict their strength and failure mechanisms.

Influence of compaction energy on soil stabilized with chemical stabilizereSAT Journals

Abstract
Increase in traffic along with heavier magnitude of wheel loads cause rapid deterioration in pavements. There is a need to improve
density, strength of soil subgrade and other pavement layers. In this study an attempt is made to improve the properties of locally
available loamy soil using twin approaches viz., i) increasing the compaction of soil and ii) treating the soil with chemical stabilizer.
Laboratory studies are carried out on both untreated and treated soil samples compacted by different compaction efforts. Studies
show that increase in compaction effort results in increase in density of soil. However in soil treated with chemical stabilizer, rate of
increase in density is not significant. The soil treated with chemical stabilizer exhibits improvement in both strength and performance
properties.

Water resources projects are inherited with overlapping and at times conflicting objectives. These projects are often of varied sizes
ranging from major projects with command areas of millions of hectares to very small projects implemented at the local level. Thus,
in all these projects there is seldom proper coordination which is essential for ensuring collective sustainability.
Integrated watershed development and management is the accepted answer but in turn requires a comprehensive framework that can
enable planning process involving all the stakeholders at different levels and scales is compulsory. Such a unified hydrological
framework is essential to evaluate the cause and effect of all the proposed actions within the drainage basins.
The present paper describes a hydrological framework developed in the form of a Hydrologic Information System (HIS) which is
intended to meet the specific information needs of the various line departments of a typical State connected with water related aspects.
The HIS consist of a hydrologic information database coupled with tools for collating primary and secondary data and tools for
analyzing and visualizing the data and information. The HIS also incorporates hydrological model base for indirect assessment of
various entities of water balance in space and time. The framework would be maintained and updated to reflect fully the most
accurate ground truth data and the infrastructure requirements for planning and management.

The study demonstrate the potentiality of satellite remote sensing technique for the generation of baseline information on forest types
including tree plantation details in Bidar forest division, Karnataka covering an area of 5814.60Sq.Kms. The Total Area of Bidar
forest division is 5814Sq.Kms analysis of the satellite data in the study area reveals that about 84% of the total area is Covered by
crop land, 1.778% of the area is covered by dry deciduous forest, 1.38 % of mixed plantation, which is very threatening to the
environmental stability of the forest, future plantation site has been mapped. With the use of latest Geo-informatics technology proper
and exact condition of the trees can be observed and necessary precautions can be taken for future plantation works in an appropriate
manner

Factors influencing compressive strength of geopolymer concreteeSAT Journals

Abstract
To study effects of several factors on the properties of fly ash based geopolymer concrete on the compressive strength and also the
cost comparison with the normal concrete. The test variables were molarities of sodium hydroxide(NaOH) 8M,14M and 16M, ratio of
NaOH to sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) 1, 1.5, 2 and 2.5, alkaline liquid to fly ash ratio 0.35 and 0.40 and replacement of water in
Na2SiO3 solution by 10%, 20% and 30% were used in the present study. The test results indicated that the highest compressive
strength 54 MPa was observed for 16M of NaOH, ratio of NaOH to Na2SiO3 2.5 and alkaline liquid to fly ash ratio of 0.35. Lowest
compressive strength of 27 MPa was observed for 8M of NaOH, ratio of NaOH to Na2SiO3 is 1 and alkaline liquid to fly ash ratio of
0.40. Alkaline liquid to fly ash ratio of 0.35, water replacement of 10% and 30% for 8 and 16 molarity of NaOH and has resulted in
compressive strength of 36 MPa and 20 MPa respectively. Superplasticiser dosage of 2 % by weight of fly ash has given higher
strength in all cases.

Abstract
Composite Circular hollow Steel tubes with and without GFRP infill for three different grades of Light weight concrete are tested for
ultimate load capacity and axial shortening , under Cyclic loading. Steel tubes are compared for different lengths, cross sections and
thickness. Specimens were tested separately after adopting Taguchiβs L9 (Latin Squares) Orthogonal array in order to save the initial
experimental cost on number of specimens and experimental duration. Analysis was carried out using ANN (Artificial Neural
Network) technique with the assistance of Mini Tab- a statistical soft tool. Comparison for predicted, experimental & ANN output is
obtained from linear regression plots. From this research study, it can be concluded that *Cross sectional area of steel tube has most
significant effect on ultimate load carrying capacity, *as length of steel tube increased- load carrying capacity decreased & *ANN
modeling predicted acceptable results. Thus ANN tool can be utilized for predicting ultimate load carrying capacity for composite
columns.

This paper presents an outlook on experimental behavior and a comparison with predicted formula on the behaviour of circular
concentrically loaded self-consolidating fibre reinforced concrete filled steel tube columns (HSSCFRC). Forty-five specimens were
tested. The main parameters varied in the tests are: (1) percentage of fiber (2) tube diameter or width to wall thickness ratio (D/t
from 15 to 25) (3) L/d ratio from 2.97 to 7.04 the results from these predictions were compared with the experimental data. The
experimental results) were also validated in this study.

Evaluation of punching shear in flat slabseSAT Journals

Abstract
Flat-slab construction has been widely used in construction today because of many advantages that it offers. The basic philosophy in
the design of flat slab is to consider only gravity forces; this method ignores the effect of punching shear due to unbalanced moments
at the slab column junction which is critical. An attempt has been made to generate generalized design sheets which accounts both
punching shear due to gravity loads and unbalanced moments for cases (a) interior column; (b) edge column (bending perpendicular
to shorter edge); (c) edge column (bending parallel to shorter edge); (d) corner column. These design sheets are prepared as per
codal provisions of IS 456-2000. These design sheets will be helpful in calculating the shear reinforcement to be provided at the
critical section which is ignored in many design offices. Apart from its usefulness in evaluating punching shear and the necessary
shear reinforcement, the design sheets developed will enable the designer to fix the depth of flat slab during the initial phase of the
design.

Efficiency of the road network system is analyzed by travel time reliability measures. The study overlooks on an important measure of
travel time reliability and prioritizing Tiruchirappalli road network. Traffic volume and travel time were collected using license plate
matching method. Travel time measures were estimated from average travel time and 95th travel time. Effect of non-motorized vehicle
on efficiency of road system was evaluated. Relation between buffer time index and traffic volume was created. Travel time model has
been developed and travel time measure was validated. Then service quality of road sections in network were graded based on
travel time reliability measures.

Abstract
The development of watershed aims at productive utilization of all the available natural resources in the entire area extending from
ridge line to stream outlet. The per capita availability of land for cultivation has been decreasing over the years. Therefore, water and
the related land resources must be developed, utilized and managed in an integrated and comprehensive manner. Remote sensing and
GIS techniques are being increasingly used for planning, management and development of natural resources. The study area, Nallur
Amanikere watershed geographically lies between 110 38β and 110 52β N latitude and 760 30β and 760 50β E longitude with an area of
415.68 Sq. km. The thematic layers such as land use/land cover and soil maps were derived from remotely sensed data and overlayed
through ArcGIS software to assign the curve number on polygon wise. The daily rainfall data of six rain gauge stations in and around
the watershed (2001-2011) was used to estimate the daily runoff from the watershed using Soil Conservation Service - Curve Number
(SCS-CN) method. The runoff estimated from the SCS-CN model was then used to know the variation of runoff potential with different
land use/land cover and with different soil conditions.

Abstract
Land and water are the two vital natural resources, the optimal management of these resources with minimum adverse environmental
impact are essential not only for sustainable development but also for human survival. Satellite remote sensing with geographic
information system has a pragmatic approach to map and generate spatial input layers of predicting response behavior and yield of
watershed. Hence, in the present study an attempt has been made to understand the hydrological process of the catchment at the
watershed level by drawing the inferences from moprhometric analysis and runoff. The study area chosen for the present study is
Yagachi catchment situated in Chickamaglur and Hassan district lies geographically at a longitude 75β°52β08.77βE and
13β°10β50.77βN latitude. It covers an area of 559.493 Sq.km. Morphometric analysis is carried out to estimate morphometric
parameters at Micro-watershed to understand the hydrological response of the catchment at the Micro-watershed level. Daily runoff
is estimated using USDA SCS curve number model for a period of 10 years from 2001 to 2010. The rainfall runoff relationship of the
study shows there is a positive correlation.

Abstract The nonlinear Static procedure also well known as pushover analysis is method where in monotonically increasing loads are applied to the structure till the structure is unable to resist any further load. It is a popular tool for seismic performance evaluation of existing and new structures. In literature lot of research has been carried out on conventional pushover analysis and after knowing deficiency efforts have been made to improve it. But actual test results to verify the analytically obtained pushover results are rarely available. It has been found that some amount of variation is always expected to exist in seismic demand prediction of pushover analysis. Initial study is carried out by considering user defined hinge properties and default hinge length. Attempt is being made to assess the variation of pushover analysis results by considering user defined hinge properties and various hinge length formulations available in literature and results compared with experimentally obtained results based on test carried out on a G+2 storied RCC framed structure. For the present study two geometric models viz bare frame and rigid frame model is considered and it is found that the results of pushover analysis are very sensitive to geometric model and hinge length adopted. Abstract
Depletion of natural resources and aggregate quarries for the road construction is a serious problem to procure materials. Hence
recycling or reuse of material is beneficial. On emphasizing development in sustainable construction in the present era, recycling of
asphalt pavements is one of the effective and proven rehabilitation processes. For the laboratory investigations reclaimed asphalt
pavement (RAP) from NH-4 and crumb rubber modified binder (CRMB-55) was used. Foundry waste was used as a replacement to
conventional filler. Laboratory tests were conducted on asphalt concrete mixes with 30, 40, 50, and 60 percent replacement with RAP.
These test results were compared with conventional mixes and asphalt concrete mixes with complete binder extracted RAP
aggregates. Mix design was carried out by Marshall Method. The Marshall Tests indicated highest stability values for asphalt
concrete (AC) mixes with 60% RAP. The optimum binder content (OBC) decreased with increased in RAP in AC mixes. The Indirect
Tensile Strength (ITS) for AC mixes with RAP also was found to be higher when compared to conventional AC mixes at 300C.

CFD analysis is incredibly effective at solving mysteries and improving the performance of complex systems!
Here's a great example: At a large natural gas-fired power plant, where they use waste heat to generate steam and energy, they were puzzled that their boiler wasn't producing as much steam as expected.
R&R and Tetra Engineering Group Inc. were asked to solve the issue with reduced steam production.
An inspection had shown that a significant amount of hot flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes, where the heat was supposed to be transferred.
R&R Consult conducted a CFD analysis, which revealed that 6.3% of the flue gas was bypassing the boiler tubes without transferring heat. The analysis also showed that the flue gas was instead being directed along the sides of the boiler and between the modules that were supposed to capture the heat. This was the cause of the reduced performance.
Based on our results, Tetra Engineering installed covering plates to reduce the bypass flow. This improved the boiler's performance and increased electricity production.

Optimizing system design significantly boosted power generation, promoted renewable energy utilization, and enhanced energy storage capacity. The study underscored the benefits of optimizing hybrid solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems for sustainable energy usage. Optimizing the design of solar PV panels and pumped hydro energy supply systems as examined across diverse climatic conditions in a developing country, not only enhances power generation but also improves the integration of renewable energy sources and boosts energy storage capacities, particularly beneficial for less economically prosperous regions. Abstract
In this paper, the Correlation measure of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Multi sets (IFMS) is proposed. The concept of this Correlation measure
of IFMS is the extension of Correlation measure of IFS. Using the Correlation of IFMS measure, the application of medical diagnosis
and pattern recognition are presented. The new method also shows that the correlation measure of any two IFMS equals one if and
only if the two IFMS are the same.

1. INTRODUCTION
The Intuitionistic Fuzzy sets (IFS) introduced by Krasssimir T.
Atanassov [1, 2] is the generalisation of the Fuzzy set (FS).
The Fuzzy set (FS) proposed by Lofti A. Zadeh [3] allows the
uncertainty belong to a set with a membership degree ( π)
between 0 and 1. That is, the one and only membership
function (π β [0,1]) and the non membership function equals
one minus the membership degree. Whereas IFS represent the
uncertainty with respect to both membership (π β [0,1]) and
non membership ( π β [0,1] ) such that π + π β€ 1 . The
number π = 1 β π β π is called the hesitiation degree or
intuitionistic index.
Several authors like Murthy and Pal [4] investigated the
correlation between two fuzzy membership functions, Chiang
and Lin [5] studied the correlation of fuzzy sets and Chaudhuri
and Bhattacharya [6] discussed the correlation between two
fuzzy sets on same universal discourse. As the Intuitionistic
fuzzy sets is widely used in various fields like pattern
recognition, medical diagnosis, logic programming, decision
making, market prediction, etc. Correlation Analysis of IFS
plays a vital role in recent research area. Gerstenkorn and
Manko [7] defined and examined the properties the correlation
measure of IFS for finite universe of discourse. Later the
concepts of correlation and the correlation coefficient of IFS
in probability spaces were derived by Hong, Hwang [8] for the
infinite universe of discourse. Hung and Wu [9, 10] proposed
a centroid method to calculate the correlation coefficient of
IFSs, using the positively and negatively correlated values.
The correlation coefficient of IFS in terms of statistical values,
using mean aggregation functions was presented by Mitchell
[11]. Based on geometrical representation of IFSs and three
parameters, a correlation coefficient of IFSs was defined by
Wenyi Zeng and Hongxing Li [12].
The Multi set [13] repeats the occurrences of any element.
And the Fuzzy Multi set (FMS) introduced by R. R. Yager
[14] can occur more than once with the possibly of the same or
the different membership values. Recently, the new concept
Intuitionistic Fuzzy Multi sets (IFMS) was proposed by T.K
Shinoj and Sunil Jacob John [15].
As various distance and similarity methods of IFS are
extended for IFMS distance and similarity measures [16, 17,
18 and 19], this paper is an extension of the correlation
measure of IFS to IFMS. The numerical results of the
examples show that the developed similarity measures are well
suited to use any linguistic variables.
2. PRELIMINARIES
2.1 Definition:
Let X be a nonempty set. A fuzzy set A in X is given by

independent memberships and non memberships.

4. MEDICAL DIAGNOSIS USING IFMS β
CORRELATION MEASURE
As Medical diagnosis contains lots of uncertainties, they are
the most interesting and fruitful areas of application for fuzzy
set theory. A symptom is an uncertain indication of a disease
and hence the uncertainty characterizes a relation between
symptoms and diseases. Thus working with the uncertainties
leads us to accurate decision making in medicine. In most of
the medical diagnosis problems, there exist some patterns, and
the experts make decision based on the similarity between
unknown sample and the base patterns.
In some situations, terms of membership function (fuzzy set
theory) alone is not adequate. Hence, the terms like
membership and non membership function (Intuitionistic
fuzzy set theory) is considered to be the better one. Due to the
increased volume of information available to physicians from
new medical technologies, the process of classifying different
set of symptoms under a single name of disease becomes
difficult. Recently, there are various models of medical
diagnosis under the general framework of fuzzy sets are
proposed. In some practical situations, there is the possibility
of each element having different membership and non
membership functions. The distance and similarity measure
among the Patients Vs Symptoms and Symptoms Vs diseases
gives the proper medical diagnosis. Here, the proposed
correlation measure point out the proper diagnosis by the
highest similarity measure.
The unique feature of this proposed method is that it considers
multi membership and non membership. By taking one time
inspection, there may be error in diagnosis. Hence, this multi
time inspection, by taking the samples of the same patient at
different times gives best diagnosis.
Let P = { P1, P2, P3, P4 } be a set of Patients.
D = { Fever, Tuberculosis, Typhoid, Throat disease } be the
set of diseases
and S = { Temperature, Cough, Throat pain, Headache, Body
pain } be the set of symptoms.
Our solution is to examine the patient at different time
intervals (three times a day), which in turn give arise to
different membership and non membership function for each
patient.

The highest similarity measure from the table 4.3 gives the proper medical diagnosis.
Patient P1 suffers from Viral Fever, Patient P2 suffers from Tuberculosis, Patient P3 suffers from Throat disease and
the Patient P4 suffers from Typhoid.

6. CONCLUSIONS
The Correlation similarity measure of IFMS from IFS theory
is derived in this paper. The prominent characteristic of this
method is that the Correlation measure of any two IFMSs
equals to one if and only if the two IFMSs are the same,
referred in the example 5:2 of pattern recognition. From the
numerical evaluation, it is clear that this proposed method can
be applied to decision making problems. The example 3.5.1,
3.5.2 of numerical evaluation shows that the new measure
perform well in the case of membership and non membership
function and example 3.5.3, 3.5.4 of numerical evaluation
depicts that the proposed measure is effective with three
representatives of IFMS β membership, non membership and
hesitation functions. Finally, the medical diagnosis has been
given to show the efficiency of the developed Correlation
similarity measure of IFMS.
