LIVE BRIEF EVALUATION

DELIVERY
CLIENT FEEDBACK
I went in person to present my video for my client and made
notes on their views and opinions of the video; the notes of
feedback I got were:
There was a lack on narration that was recorded by the
children; the reason was explained that sound files didn’t
sound good and so there wasn’t any that could be used. The
footage was edited together in an amazing way but it was
overly organised; I asked if they wanted it re-arranging a
certain way and my client was not bothered by how it was
organised as long as there was some kayos to reflect the
atmosphere of a nursery. The music was well put together;
this was a positive aspect that the client liked in the end and
thought it flowed between sections well. The titles were nice
but a little big; I said I would adjust the size to be smaller and
this would make it better.
EVALUATION
MANAGEMENT
My time was well managed and I believe that it wasn’t wasted however the
exception was wish the filming days; things were chaos and it was running form
one end of the building to another to catch a moment that occurred at random
that showed the kids doing things they wouldn’t normally. I met ever deadline and
it worked out well over all and responded to the clients feedback while still
working fast enough but to the right amount of quality to the work I do.
In meetings I was clear about what I was doing and what I should do to cater to
their expectations; filming day communications was easily done and though
many kids were a little shy at first they soon warmed up to the camera being
around and had fun.
I mostly got everything done what the client wanted however the sound files were
ruined and I had to abandon using them; I also didn’t get all that was wanted as
there was a time issue, where times to film clashed with each other.
If I were to do the project again I would probably discuss the possibility of having
more days filming, and each day would be for one room at a time; then all the
interview days be separate and better planned out.
CONSTRAINTS
All the legal work was easily done as the company I used sorted out parent
permissions themselves; I got the location permissions by the locations
manager; and had a copy of the permissions that the parents give for the
children to be in the project.
Financially the project wasn’t very expensive because my resources were
borrowed from college and therefore free to use. The location wasn’t rented
as they benefited from the project; there was no benefit on my end,
fanatically wise.
The issue of personnel was mostly to do with finding time with the staff to
talk to me and plan out everything better so that activities dint clash and the
footage was split in half; this wouldn’t be easy as getting a full plan of their
days isn't easy as they act unpredictable as they are a nursery and the
children prefer to do their own thing.
FINAL PRODUCT
My time management and planning was well organised; I
wished filming days were more structured but understand
that that isn't always easy when working with children. All my
written planned work was well structured and gave clear
information on my goals to my clients.
In the end I believe I did well on this project, it wasn’t perfect
however my project video was produced to professional
standard and it was defiantly fit for the purpose and almost
perfectly fulfils the proposal my client gave me to work with;
only missing the talking sections.
I didn’t like the final video personally as it wasn’t what I had
envisioned however my client really enjoyed the final video;
they believed it reached what they wanted for the type of
video I produced for them.
