2. How do you copy off the board?
• One word at a time?
• Or a few words at a time?
• Or do you copy a couple of words at a time?
• Which way do you think is best?
• Why do you think this?
• Copy this:
• It is inefficient to copy from the board one word
at a time as it consumes a lot of time and makes
it increasingly hard for you to fully comprehend
what you are writing down.
3. How do you copy off the board? Exercise #1
• Copy this:
• It is inefficient to copy from the board one
word at a time as it consumes a lot of time
and makes it increasingly hard for you to fully
comprehend what you are writing down.
• Or this:
• Did only seeing a few words at a time help to
make it easier to copy down?
4. How do you improve your copying?
• In the beginning you may only be able to manage 2-3
words. Practice will increase this.
• Try to ensure you read the WHOLE sentence
• Or the entire line.
• Try repeating it in your head…repeating it in your head.
• Write down as much as you can. As much as you can.
• If you forget a word, leave a space, when you finish
writing that part down, go back and see what the word
was.
• Practice this as much as possible. It gets easier.
5. Exercise #2
• Try copying this down:
• Copying off the board is a skill that can be
learnt. It requires practice but is worthwhile
because it means you can copy the
information down quickly without wasting
time and you are also more likely to
understand what you have copied down.
