This document presents simulation results for a closed-loop 1-phase AC to DC converter fed speed controlled DC drive using a separately excited DC motor. The simulation was run under different load torques of 5 Nm, 20 Nm, and 30 Nm. The results show that as load torque increases, motor speed decreases while armature current and electrical torque increase. During starting, armature current is very high before stabilizing at the rated speed. The field flux is constant for the separately excited DC motor and output parameters are displayed in waveforms and tables over time.
