What is contrived experience ?
 These are edited copy of reality and use as subtitutes of
real things. When it is not practical or not possible to
bring at school. These contrived experience are
designed to simulate to real life situation.
Diff. types of contrive experiences.
 Models
 Mock-ups
 Specimens
 Objects
 Simulation
 Games
Models
 A model is a reproduction of a real thing in a
small scale, or large scale, or exact size-but made
of synthetic materials. It is a substitute for a real
thing.
Mock-ups
 An arrangement of a real device or associated
devices, displayed in such a way that
representation of reality is created
Specimens
 Is any individual or item considered typical of a
group, class or whole.
Object
 May also include artifacts displayed in a museum
or object displayed in exhibits or preserved insect
specimens in science
Simulation
 Is representing of a manageable real event in
which the learner is an active participant engage
in learning a behavior or in applying previously
acquired skills or knowlrdge.
Game
 This are being played by someone and it has a
winner and loser.
Difference between simulation and
games.
 Games are played to win while simulations need
not have a winner.
