    (CPD)
  What? Why? How?
What's the plan?

• What is CPD?
• Why is it important?
• How can we go about it?
Defining CPD...
CPD is:

'a combination of approaches, ideas and
techniques that will help you manage your
           own learning and growth.'

Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
                                               (CIPD)
Defining CPD...

CPD should focus on the outcome:
1. Identify the need for CPD
2. Do something about it
3. Reflect! What did you learn? How have
you applied what you learnt in real life?
Defining CPD...
There is not a one size fits all approach to
  CPD:

• Wherever you are in your career now, and
whatever you want to achieve, your CPD
    should be exactly that: yours.

Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
                                                 (CIPD)
What does CPD mean to you?

• Define your own CPD, create your own
    CPD adventure...
Why is it important?
