Continuing professional development - what, why, how?

  • 3. Defining CPD... CPD is: 'a combination of approaches, ideas and techniques that will help you manage your own learning and growth.' Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
  • 4. Defining CPD... CPD should focus on the outcome: 1. Identify the need for CPD 2. Do something about it 3. Reflect! What did you learn? How have you applied what you learnt in real life?
  • 5. Defining CPD... There is not a one size fits all approach to CPD: • Wherever you are in your career now, and whatever you want to achieve, your CPD should be exactly that: yours. Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
