Last week I presented on a NewsCred webinar on the future of content marketing. I talked about how marketing has always used great storytelling to connect with people.
I talked about how we are becoming a much more visual society, scanning information for the details we need in less than a second.
I used some stats and research and graphs to show that content marketing is all the marketing that's left. And my focus for the future of content marketing was for brands to be:
Informative
Visual
Shareable (and snackable, consumable, digestible, and always-on)
Entertaining
But I don't think any of these should be content marketing word of the year! I just know that your audience wants stories, not ads. And I hope to help you give it them!

Content marketing to wierzchołek góry lodowej, czyli firma jako komunikacja - prezentacja Jacka Wasilewskiego i Bartka Bracha podczas konferencji Power of Content Marketing w Warszawie 28 maja 2015

1. Amplification isn’t an afterthought!
– Think about how the content will be distributed before authoring it. Take a look at your
competitor’s best work and make yours better with more robust content and better design
1. Focus on creating “Big Content”
– Use engagement data to determine the pieces of high-quality content to support with paid
media. This approach is better than supporting a large quantity of mediocre content
1. Align content to where the reader is
– Know what type of content resonates and drives engagement with different channel audiences
(LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc.)
1. Extract sharable pieces from your content
– Use snippets of your content to promote social sharing and drive clicks back to the content
source

Editor's Notes
