This document summarizes two models for resolving inter-religious conflict through dialogue: the Johari Window model and the Dual Concern model. The Johari Window model seeks to establish a transparent common ground between parties by acknowledging differences and highlighting commonalities. The Dual Concern model illustrates five options for handling conflict based on two dimensions: assertiveness of one's concerns and cooperation with others' concerns. The five options are competing, avoiding, accommodating, compromising, and collaborating. Collaborating is presented as acknowledging differences but highlighting commonalities as areas for cooperation.
