Left arm:
• Markedtenderness, swelling and deformity at
above elbow
• Limited ROM of elbow due to pain
• Radial artery and Ulnar artery pulse 2+
• No numbness and weakness
Gartland type
Type ILong arm casting 3-4 weeks
Type II Closed reduction
+ long arm casting
± percutaneous pinning
Type III Closed reduction
+ long arm casting
+ percutaneous pinning
• In Type II
• If reduction stable in elbow’s angle below than 90o, usually
use percutaneous pinning because if stabilized in that
position, it should be compressed vessel.
