The document discusses concepts of immunity from an Ayurvedic perspective. It describes the three types of immunity according to Ayurveda - Sahaja, Kalaja, and Yuktikrit. Sahaja is innate immunity, Kalaja is seasonal immunity that varies based on factors like time of year, and Yuktikrit is acquired immunity influenced by lifestyle practices. The document outlines daily (Dinacharya) and seasonal (Rutucharya) practices recommended in Ayurveda to support immunity, including oil massage, steam inhalation, seasonal diets, and more. Specific practices are suggested for different seasons to balance doshas and strengthen immunity.
The basic physiology of the menstrual cycle is a complex mechanism. This involves sequence of phases in coordination with the hypothalamus, anterior pituitary, ovary and endometrium. Normalcy and rhythmic menstruation are prime factors for normal reproduction. The menstrual cycle with all its complexities can be easily perturbed and lead to Oligomenorrhoea and Hypomenorrhea, the most common conditions seen in the present era. Its prevalence from different studies is 13.5 and 12.95 respectively. In classics, based on the pathophysiology of Lakshana by considering Dosha, Dushya, Agni, Srotas etc. this condition can be considered as Artava Kshaya. It is Agnimandhyajanya Vikara having Bahudoshavastha with Kapha Vata Dushti where Kapha produces Avarana to Vata Dosha and obstructs Artava Vaha Srotas. So, Deepana Pachana, Shodhana followed with Shamana Chikitsa corrects the pathophysiology Artava Kshaya. The examination reveals that the policy document focuses on the development of introductory courses, professional courses, and vocational courses for the students. The objective of developing courses is to develop a student's attitude and aptitude. It also focuses on creating industry-ready and entrepreneurial orientation among the students. The NEP aims to increase the use of technology in education. There is a provision in the policy, technology or e-learning is the need of the hour (Kaurav, Rajput, & Baber, 2019). The policy also mentions that a National Education Technology Forum needs to be formed so that it could act as a podium where there can be the exchange of ideas on the use and development of technology. Previously, the education policies were offering exposure to the students which, in turn, would help the student to evolve. The current education policy focuses on a student exchange program that provides students with multiple exit points. It is visible from the examination in this study that the effort has been made to evolve the Indian education system and offer students international level pedagogy. Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Founder, SAI International Education
National Education Policy 2020 Present updates: One of the stated aims of the policy is to instill a “deep-rooted pride” in being Indian, not only in thought, but also in spirit, intellect, and deeds, as well as to develop knowledge

3. PREAMBLE
On world wide every one is concerned of immunity
and how to raise it.
During the Covid -19 pandemic, an over consciousness has
been developed globally and options of vaccine have been
considered as an ultimatum. But we do not know the
protection covered out of it.
Surprisingly, an alternative is already cultivated in
ancient days in the light of Vyadhikshamatwa,
Vyadhibala, Physiological mask against infection,
Dinacharya, Ratricharya, Rutucharya etc.
4. WHEN ? IMMUNITY IS CONSIDERED TO
BE ESSENTIAL
Adequate immunity is essential for every body in all age and
mostly during breakdown of contagious illness. All together four
factors have been considered under endemic or pandemic
diseases. They are:-
VAYU
JALA ते खल्वमे भावााः सामान्या जनपदेषु भवन्ति
DESHA तद् यथा वायुाः उदकम्
् देशाः कालाः इतत ।। (च तव ५)
DESHA
KALA
5. The Cause is Bhutanu:-
भूतानाां सूक्ष्म प्रातिनाां जीवािुनाां अतभषङ्ग (गिनाथ सेन्
् )
Let us discuss aimof Ayurveda:-
स्वस्थस्य स्वास्थ्य रक्षिां आतुरस्य तवकाराः प्रशमनम्
्
8. This includes 50% aim diverted at protection of health of a healthy
person and rest 50% to treat the ill. To accomplish there must be
some rules prescribed for health custodians, how to lead their
practice . it is documented as:-
10. Further said by Vagbhata
कालाथवकमविाां योगो हीनतमथ्याऽततमात्रकाः ।
सम्यग्योगश्च तवज्ञेयो रोगारोग्यैककारिम् ।। (वाग्भट)
To explain- the views of Bhavamishra the duty of a Vaidya should
be to look after the well being of a common man
adoptions/restoring the due/permissible activities prescribed under
Dinacharya, Rtricharya and Ritucharya so as to immunize the body
to remain fit. Discussing the guidelines it is to know the details of
immunity and its contributing factors.
12. Immunity in Ayurveda is termed as BYADHIKSHYAMATWO or
VYADHIPRATYANIKA SHAKTI.
It is just like a cover or shield. It saves us from
various disease.
Around us there are many virus, bacteria like TB,
Influenza, Respiratory fever, Rhinitis, Pneumonia, Flu,
etc. They usually attack by droplet infection.
In such events the immunity present in the body destroy
the toxins liberated by virus. Concisely the body
immunity decreases the strength of the disease and arrest
creation of disease.
The Rishis have described the ways to prevent diseases
and mentioned the infectious disease along with the
means of contact.
14. MEANS OF CONTACT
The infected male female, Body contact, act of respiration,
Food contact, sleep together, Sharing beds and cushions,
clothes, garlands are the probable reason under contact.
Skin origin diseases, Febrile on set, Emaciation, Eye diseases
have been identified under contagious diseases. They have a
tendency to spread through contact. This is also called
Bhutabhisanga.
16. KALAJA BALA :
ADANA KALA AGANEYA UTTARAYANA
SISHIRA - Pausha + Magha
VASANTA – Phalguna + Chaitra
GRISMA – Baisakha + Yestha
During Adana kala vata become excessively dry, weakness prevails,
katu, teekta, kashaya are valavan.
17. VISARGA KALA SOUMYA DAKHINAYANA
VARSA - Asadha + Sravana
SARAD – Bhadrava + Aswina
HEMANT – Kartika + Margashira
(It gives Soumyansa + strength. Madhura, Amla and Lavana are
valavan . )
During Adana kala – Decrease of strength .
During Visarga kala – Increase of strength .
18. STRENGTH
ADANA KALA VISARGA KALA YOUNG AGE OLD AGE
Decreases Increases Increases Decreases
19. Considering the natural or autonomous variability in
immunity status, there is description of guide lines
according to season in lieu of food habit and lifestyle so
as to remain healthy and fight against disease. Sastra
also recommends proper Dinacharya and Ratricharya.
20. SPECIFIC CONDUCTS DURING DAY
Under Dinacharya the day starts with -
warm water drinking
steam inhalation
oil Nasya
oil massage over body and scalp
21. warm food
early breakfast and early lunch
hot water bath
early to bed
avoid cold bleez and air
seasonal food and vegetables are always recommended.
22. BENEFITS OF DAILY ABHYANGA
अभ्यङ्गमाचरेतित्यां, स जराश्रमवातहा ।
दृतिप्रसादपुष्ट्यायुाःस्वप्नसुत्वक्त्वदायकत् ।। (वाग्भट)
23. BENEFITS OF WARM WATER DURING WINTER (A.H.Su- 5)
Warm water to drink during winter. Warm water ignite Yatharagni
(Biological fire)
Digests amarasa (indigest residue in the alimentary canal)
Friendly to voice and throat.
It is laghu (light).
Helpful as vastisodhana and useful during Hikka,
Adhmana, Vata vikara, Kapha vikara, newly onset fever,
Kasa, Amajeerna, Peenasa, Swasa, Parshwa soola.
The property of warm water retains in the body for about
12-24 hrs.
25. The property of mustard oil as NASYA
(AH.Su 5)
Mustard oil is katu, ushna and teekhna.
It is laghu
It pacify kapha dosha, vata and sperm tissue.
It increases pitta and rakta.
It kills krimi helpful in vrana, skin problem arsa
and kotha.
28. Food –
Food has a specific role to enhance immunity .
Let us discuss the point of Aahara here.
Food is considered to be one under three
pillar of human body such as AHARA, NIDRA AND
BRAMHACHARYA.
आहार सांभव विु रोगश्च अहारसांभव I(चरक)
29. All cells are made up of food particles and diseases are thus
proportionate with intake of food. Non conducive food invites
illness.
आहारान्
् पचतत तशखी दोषान् आहार बतजवत्ाः
दोष क्षये पचेत् िातुन् प्रािान् िातु क्षये तथा (च सु ६)
30. Agni digests food and in absence digest dosha, absence of
dosha it digest dhatu and in absence of dhatu it affects prana or
the life force.
Also said-
यो जिु यस्य देशस्य तज्जां तस्य औषति तहतम् ।।
The food particles grown to the locality are best suited to the
persons belonging to that locality.
Let us now go deep in to Kalaja bala defining seasonal conducts :
43. CHARYA IN MARCH AND APRIL /
VASANTA/ Chaitra Vaisakha
Highlight-
Surya bala increases.
Sanchita slesma during hemanta and sishira ritu starts
melting and obstructs the jatharagni and influence
digestion and invite disease.
Rukshta increase (rukhsyatara).
Madhyama bala.
55. CHARYA IN JULY AND AUGUST /
VARSAKALA (Sravana+Bhadrav)
HIGHILIGHTS-
Ksheena agnibala and sharira bala
Tridosh prakop (vata prakopa)
Amla vipaka, jala.
56. PATHYAHARA-
Madhura Amla Lavana and Snigdha dravya
Jangal pasu pakhi mamsa
Madhu in food and drinks.
Purana yava, godhuma, shali dhanya.
Samskarit yush.
Tapta sheeta jala, koopa jala.
61. CHARYA IN SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER
SARAD KALA (Aswin + Kartik)
Highlight –
Due to sudden exposure to Sun after Rainy season pitta
gets vitiated.
Madhyama bala
72. CONCLUSSION
We should not forget the truth prevailing today. As per W.H.O
statistics, diseases are growing in number and intensity. A lion
share of savings shall go in health segment. Hospitals will come
up mushrooming in the cities. Super specialties will be at door
steps. Ayurveda appeal for a liberal thought to how remain
healthy adopting know how prescribed by ancient monks.
Thank you all
