!A SUBJECT REPRESENTS SOMEONE OR SOMETHING. !

You can pair one subject with many verbs. !

The class cheered and clapped once the examination ended. !

Compound verb: cheered, clapped!
!
The spy sneaked into the CEO's office and stole the file.!

Compound verb: sneaked, stole!
!
Suzy could not believe the bad news and cried loudly.!

Compound verb: could not believe, cried !

You can also join two or more subjects to a single verb. !

My mother and my sister went shopping this afternoon.!
