Together: Startup Communities Can Change the WorldDonna Harris
In the last 5 years, the world has made great strides in recognizing, celebrating and encouraging entrepreneurship, but there are major questions left unanswered. Why, if we believe the data around the correlation between entrepreneurship and job creation, does so much that drives entrepreneurial success get left to chance? Why, when we all say we want our startup ecosystems to be “better”, do we still focus our definition of better on access to capital when, even in a developed economy like the United States, less than 0.02% of all companies ever take venture capital funding? Why, with the power of today’s technology, have we not made more progress in solving our world’s challenges -- how we educate our children, provide healthcare, access efficient sources of energy and deliver so many other government services? And why, in today’s hyper-global and hyper-connected economy, does geography still matter so much as to why some startups succeed and some startups fail? This presentation dissects these challenges and presents a new vision for a truly hyper-local and hyper-global worldwide startup ecosystem.

Going Social…Business Boon or Bust? Aligning Customer Experience and Workforc...Krossing
This presentation was given as my Keynote address to the Incentive Marketing Association of Canada.
The presentation attempts to make the case that Employee engagement drives both better customer experience and greater profit margins. What’s more, it’s essential for companies that want to sustain customer experience success over time.
Customer experience — its relationship to loyalty and satisfaction and the likelihood that it will lead to future business — is now a well-established discipline. However, measuring workforce experience is more complicated because no one owns the experience from end to end.
What can social media do to help?
Stand for something and do something: Breakthrough marketing of big brands.
----
Marketing today's modern brands absolutely requires that a brand stand for something that is relevant to consumers -- so that they will want to engage in a conversation with you. Then, the brand has to engage in the conversation consistently, over time and in a variety of channels.
As a case study we'll look at the work Leo Burnett has
done for P&G Secret. The 50-year purpose and heritage
of the Secret brand has been to help women be fearless
by giving them the confidence they need to face any
stressful situation.
Nothing is more stressful than bullying. And, we know
that bullying has long-term effects on self-esteem; for girls to grow up to be fearless women, our imperative was to help them overcome bullying themselves and to
take a stand to help other girls.
Mean “stinks”, and Secret stands against everything that
stinks. But we do it in a powerful and empowering way -
- one that encourages girls to Gang Up for Good.

This fast-paced webinar is taught by a nonprofit consultant and trainer who has led nearly 100 nonprofits through the process to write their business plan for earned income. You'll explore the seven key steps required to launch a successful social enterprise.
How to Hire Top Talent to Create a Purpose-Driven BusinessY Scouts
Brian Mohr, Co-Founder & VP of Growth, Y Scouts
Evolution of Management - The way we hire and manage employees has evolved over the centuries. Historically (industrial revolution, scientific management) people were hired and supervised to perform specifically-designed tasks, with a great focus on optimizing productivity. We still see the effects of those roots today. Later, the bureaucracy developed, and behavioral management emerged between the 1920s to 1950s to focus more on the real needs of employees. In recent decades we've seen much emphasis on management science (six sigma, lean) ad its main focus remained often on process or productivity rather than on people.
State of our Workplace Today - Despite contemporary thought leaders (like Peter Drucker, or the emergence of Servant Leadership), today's workplace still produces much unproductive stress, eliminates much creativity and inspiration, and is characterized by high levels of disengagement. This in turn leaves significant opportunities for productivity, growth, and profitability on the table.
Research on Purpose – One of the key pieces we believe is missing is “purpose”. In Daniel Pink’s research on what really motivates people, he finds that purpose is one of the three main drivers. In Gallup’s research into why people follow, “hope” is one of the main factors. Dr. Seligman’s research in the area of positive psychology shows that having a sense of purpose is a key route to high well-being. Purpose is good for people, but for business as well. A range of studies has demonstrated the far-superior results that purpose-driven companies obtain over their money-driven counterparts.
Implications for You – For most companies this means there is a need t0 discover what their purpose is, to communicate, Y Scouts is proposing three main implications. First, what is your purpose? What are you most passionate about, and what are you doing to pursue that? Second, how can you help others find and pursue that? Second, how can you help others find and pursue their purpose? You have great influence over your existing employees (casting them in the right roles) as well as your new hires (interviewing them for fit and purpose). And thirdly, how can you develop and focus your managers and employees on their strengths? To allow purpose to thrive, managers will need to respect the employee for who he/she is and focus on bringing the best out in them.

The Mindset Group enables organisations to execute their business strategy through three key areas of:
* transformation
* talent services
* technology for HR
Transformation - aligns business, people and process strategies to drive and sustain a change in the organisation's mindset.
Talent - secures an organisation's capabilities to ensure they have the correct skill sets now and in the future.
Technology - drives the engagement of the workforce by implementing a tool set(s) for improved capability and increased engagement.

When most people in the industry talk about online or digital reputation management, what they're really saying is Google search and PPC. And it's usually reactive, left dealing with the aftermath of negative information published somewhere online. That's outdated. It leaves executives, organizations and other high-profile individuals at a high risk of a digital reputation attack that spans channels and tactics. Search Engine Marketing - Competitor and Keyword researchETMARK ACADEMY
Over 2 Trillion searches are made per day in Google search, which means there are more than 2 Trillion visits happening across the websites of the world wide web.
People search various questions, phrases or words. But some words and phrases are searched
more often than others.
For example, the words, ‘running shoes’ are searched more often than ‘best road running
shoes for men’
These words or phrases which people use to search on Google are called Keywords.
Some keywords are searched more often than others. Number of times a keyword is searched
for in a month is called keyword volume.
Some keywords have more relevant results than others. For the phrase “running shoes” we
get more than 80M relevant results, whereas for “best road running shoes for men” we get
only 8.
The former keyword ‘running shoes’ has way more competition from popular websites to
new and small blogs, whereas the latter keyword doesn’t have that much competition. This
search competition for a keyword is called search difficulty of a keyword or keyword
difficulty.
In other words, if the keyword difficulty is ‘low’ or ‘easy’, there won’t be any competition
and if you target such keywords on your site, you can easily rank on the front page of Google.
Some keywords are searched for, just to know or to learn some information about something,
that’s their search intention. For example, “What shoe size should I choose?” or “How to pick
the right shoe size?”
These keywords which are searched just to know about stuff are called informational
keywords. Typically people who are searching this type of keywords are top of a Conversion
funnel.
Conversion funnel is the journey that search visitors go through on their way to an email
subscription or a premium subscription to the services you offer or a purchase of products
you sell or recommend using your referral link.
For some buyers, research is the most important part when they have to buy a product.
Depending on that, their journey either widens or narrows down. These types of buyers are
Researchers and they spend more time with informational keywords.
Conversion is the action you want from your search visitors. Number of conversions that you
get for every 100 search visitors is called Conversion rate.
People who are at different stages of a conversion funnel use different types of keywords.

1️⃣ Social media is becoming increasingly significant for brand discovery. Marketers are now understanding the impact of social and budgets are shifting accordingly.

3️⃣ Collaboration will help us unlock growth. Who we work with will define how fast we grow. Meta continues to evolve their Creator Marketplace and now TikTok are beginning to push ‘collabs’ more too.

In the past 10 years the development sector has grown faster than India’s economy. Today, India alone has
7.5 million nonprofits, which are expected to reach 10 million by 2020. We are in the
midst of a global associational revolution, wherein the the third sector organisations are coming up faster
than ever to help the society at large. Worldwide expenditure in the social sector accounted for nearly 5
percent of the combined global gross domestic product, or $1.1 trillion in economic activity.
In the past few years we have seen that the social sector is transforming from a voluntary loose
organisational structure to a corporate structure with more focus on professionalism and accountability.
The age old methods of that which revolved around beseeching are dying and the industry is moving
towards more self sustainable models.
In 2009, we realised that cause marketing as a concept was gradually coming to India. A lot of MNC’s like
Airtel, HUL, P&G etc. had started implementing their international best practices of Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) in India. The movement got stronger with the Indian government bringing the
Companies Bill into force in 2014. CSR has come into the mainframe only a few years back, and has started
influencing the purchasing behavior of the Indian consumer. With the digital age, Indian consumers are
better aware than ever, they don’t just buy a product, they buy a story
The real problem in this sector is not lack of funds but lack of expertise in communication and innovation.
After 5 years of extensive research and hands on experience in the social sector, we have compiled a new
version of design thinking called Impact Thinking: a process to provide breakthrough solutions for
everything in the development sector.
Deep understanding of the problem allowed us to position ourselves as a social impact laboratory to help
provide comprehensive solutions from strategy development to execution, for all corporates and social
organizations who intend to do good. We provide end to end solution by upholding the values of a
laboratory: Innovation
Your message needs to be
believed, not just
communicated!

12. REAL RUN FOR CHILDREN:
Project Overview: CSR Campaign
Project Aim: To create an engaging and a marketable CSR event
Challenge & Solution:
An entire property was created and the event was called ‘Run For Children’- The World’s Largest Marathon for Children, wherein 5000 children, 2500
from NGOs and 2500 from top private schools of Delhi, ran for their ‘Right to Education’. With a month’s deadline given by Dabur India and Prayas
JAC, I Impact India strategised, marketed and implemented the campaign within 30 days. Extensive marketing was done online and offline for a
month. The event took place in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi on Children’s Day 2013. The title sponsor for the event was Real (from the house of Dabur
India) and therefore, the event was named ‘Real Run For Children’. Associate sponsors for the event were Rotary International and MTV Act along
with many others. Celebrity partners like Randeep Hudda, Richa Chaddha, Adil Hussain and VJ Jose were also present to flag off the event. Delhi
Police commissioner Mr. B.N. Bassi and Rotary International District Governor Mr. Vinod Bansal also came to support the cause the children were
running for.

Project Overview: NGO Branding/Marketing Project
Project Aim: To know the client's aspirations and work; to be able to understand their challenges and deliver solutions that enhance their
brand value and visibility
Challenge & Solution:
To create a Brand identity for the client that is unique and stands out among the 75 lakh NGOs in India. The existing brand identity was not
self-explanatory of the cause the organisation was working for, i.e., Women Empowerment through skill development.
The client (Prabhaav Foundation) approached us with a serious problem of lack of funds due to low brand visibility. We at I Impact India, after
having understood the problems the client was facing with the existing brand image it had, revamped the brand identity and gave the client a
stronger cause for mission. Visiting cards, brochures, envelopes, letterheads, flyers, banners & standees, corporate pitches, merchandise
design, and website – all the external communication material facelifted! We created a new logo and a tagline to get the brand image in
synchronisation with the cause to enhance the appeal of the brand.

Case Study 3 : SWAMI
Project Overview : International Branding and Marketing
Project Aim : To rebrand and market the band to ensure its visibility in the Indian music industry even before it formally launches itself in the country.
Challenge and Solution:
SWAMI (So Who Am I?) is a 10 year old UK based Electro Pop Bhangra band with its origins in India. Being the pioneers in their genre, the band now
wanted to launch itself in India. We completely changed the look and feel of the brand. Everything, starting from their website, brochures, cards,
merchandise, labels, photography style, etc. was revamped. A story and purpose behind the brand was created, thus leading to the creation of a
comprehensive brand book. All social media platforms managed along with creation of individual profiles of the members, absence of which had let to
lower fan following. During this rebranding exercise, we also got their latest single under the album ‘Upgrade’ shot, which became a huge success
across all social media and music platforms. There was a phenomenal increase in the visibility of the band after the implementation of the marketing
and branding strategy.
