This document discusses community service, which encourages Rotarians to offer service to their communities by improving quality of life and serving the public interest. It defines community service as opportunities for Rotarians to exemplify service above self and respond to local community needs. Community service projects should be relevant to the community, serve as a learning experience, and determine how Rotarians can help with available resources. The district community service chair coordinates and promotes club community service projects in the district by working with clubs and encouraging participation.
