There are many advantages to using comic
strips in the classroom. First, cartoons can
depict everyday informal situations. Also,
comic strips combine dialogue, context and
meaning. Finally, cartoon strips are short and expose the learner to few new words at a time, thus focusing on one concept and
context at a time.
Materials
• White paper / Letter or legal size recommended
• Writing instrument /Colors, markers or color pencils recommended
• Dictionary /If you do not provide the definition to the new vocabulary term
• 20-30 minutes for activity .
