The Coming of Intelligent Green Vehicles
A Report from the TechCast Project While many people simply want to get from A to B, transportation
options (and especially automobiles) have to meet a variety of consumer demands: They must be
clean, affordable, safe, and increasingly intelligent. Here is an overview of the choices and challenges
for carmakers and consumers over the next 10 to 15 years. Imagine being able to sit back during your
morning commute while your car does the driving. Would you move closer to the country? Take up
the oboe? Finally read War and. Peace? And just imagine the freedom it would bring to those who are
disabled. Take, for instance, the legally blind man who earlier in 2012 took a spin in Google s self

And China, driven by the need to conserve energy and avoid pollution, plans to have 5 million
vehicles powered only by electric motors (all electrics) on the road by 2020. All electric vehicles
(EVs) have existed almost as long as gas engine vehicles, offering advantages of refueling with
relatively cheap electricity, quieter ride, and simpler mechanisms. They emit no pollutants, require no
fossil fuels, and the electricity to power them can be generated from clean sources such as wind and
solar in years to come. They can be recharged from 110 or 220 volt outlets at nominal cost and do not
require oil changes, tune ups or emissions inspections. The shift to electric powered cars is expected to
cause sales of gasoline and diesel powered cars to begin to decline about 2020. EVs remain limited by
range on a single battery charge and time required for recharge. However, significant advances in
batteries and capacitors and the emergence of home and public charging and exchange stations are
making EVs more practical. Some plug in hybrids, like the GM Volt, are designed for all electric drive
with on board charging. Improvements in technology will show up directly as models with increased
range for all battery or all ultraca pacitor mode appear in the market. Auto manufacturers are offering
broader selections, and prices are nearly

A. In order to improve the current workflow in the plant, I recommend using the work stations layout
tool whether through the Excel or POM program. This will help to show a clearer picture of the work
flow that is present at Shuzworld, with allotting equal times in each work station. This will enable the
company to find the shortest time to be used in each station for optimal performance and production of
all shoes. Decision Analysis has been established to advance theory, application, and teaching of all
aspects of decision making methods. 1. When it comes to beginning to make decisions for any

B. 1. The impact of costs on the decision to move forward with the new Maui Sandal line is as
follows: As the production continues, the hours needed for each batch, or individual pair, will begin to
decrease. By continuing to produce this line the total labor costs will continue to decrease, but most
likely, at a slower rate as more sandals are produced. This data can help the company decide
employment levels, capacity, costs, and their pricing of this particular merchandise in the open market.
The company predicts that it will take 1,000 labor hours for production to complete for the first batch,
with 50 total batches between month 1 and month 4. 2. It can be determined that it will take
approximately 20,126 hours at a cost of $20,121.71, with the given labor rate of $1.08 per hour, for

My First Day At Excelsis Root Canal Specialties Essay
I remember my first day at Excelsis Root Canal Specialties. I was beyond scared and nervous. This
job was my first full time position I have had. To be honest I, never really pictured myself working in
the dental field. I was terrified of the dentist as a child. At that time, I was a newly divorced single
mother of two who had just moved back home with her parents. I was going through a rough patch
and needed a job to survive. I started searching online and applied everywhere. I remember getting the
phone call from the office manager for my interview. I immediately started going through my closet to
find something clean and professional for my interview. I also had to figure what who would watch
my kids while I was working. I ended up trying an in home daycare for my oldest for a little bit which
didn t work out. They both ended up staying with my parents. After I attended the interview, I was
confident in myself that I would be called back for the position. In the beginning, I was walking on
eggshells afraid to make the wrong move. It was around 7:30 in the morning before any of the patients
had arrive. I was introduced to all the coworkers. After that, I was shown to my desk. The office
manager was the person who trained me. We started going over how to check patients in, answer
phones, and verify insurances. When the first patient came in, I felt like a little mouse in a huge church
hall. Whenever I tried to say something, I stumbled across my words. During our lunch

Barbara Ehrenreich s The Real Truth About The Female
This article from The Real Truth about the Female by Barbara Ehrenreich targets many beliefs that
women were underestimated. The main theory suggested in this document is that, women had to
follow the traditional duties. Early theories are being questioned as a result to women proving many
things over the years that were often overlooked. Ehrenreich states in his article, it does strongly
suggest that in the Stone Age family, Dad the hunter was not the only provider. There is a great
amount of evidence that suggest the theory that women worked as hard as men. Adrienne Zihlman and
Nancy Tanner stated among surviving hunting peoples, most of the community s calories up to 70%
come from plant food patiently gathered by women. This fact

An Analysis Of Sherman s Unorthodox Tactics Of The Civil War

ENGL 2010: Toulmin Argument
20 July 2015
General Sherman s Unorthodox Tactics that Ended the Civil War
Scorched farms, slaughtered livestock, uprooted railway lines and cities set on fire was not typical
battle strategy previously seen on American soil. However, the Civil War was dragging on and
General William Tecumseh Sherman was determined to finally end the fighting. The circumstances
that initiated the war created a figurative and literal divide unlike America had ever seen. The
American Civil War took heavy tolls on the Union and Confederate States of America. Desperate to
end the bloodshed, President Abraham Lincoln trusted Ulysses S. Grant control of the Army and Grant
authorized Sherman the freedom to do whatever necessary to bring conclusion to the conflict (Davis
22). In the military mind of Sherman, the end justified the means and this belief is well documented
throughout his 1864 and 1865 campaign through Georgia, concluding in Goldsboro, North Carolina
(Phillips 11). Sherman despised war and the fact that America had entered into a civil war in the first
place. However, Sherman knew the conflict was unavoidable (Meiers 26). He made the decision to
follow his allegiance to the Union and eventually became the general to lead the Armies of the
Cumberland, the Ohio, and the Tennessee into the heart of Georgia (Moody 22). During this event the
wrath of general Sherman would be implanted in the South s memories. By the use of unorthodox

The Lakota Tribe
Thesis: In 1868 the Lakota tribe signed a peace treaty with the US government giving the tribe all the
land west of the Missouri river in South Dakota. In October of 2016 a sea of thousands of Native
Americans from over 200 indigenous nations (1)came together to fight against fossil fuels. A 1,172
mile Dakota Access pipeline, which would transport oil from the Bakken oil fields to pipelines in
Illinois (1)had been laid out. The big problem with the plan of the pipeline was that it was right on the
line of the tribal land and an oil developers land. The Indians said that the pipeline was going to go
across cultural graves and sacred ground. These graves have been used for over 200 years by the
Lakota tribes. The Lakota believe that spirits ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

not be granting permission for the Dakota Access pipeline to burrow beneath Lake Oahe in North
Dakota, the final section of a four state, $3.8 billion project. (2) Many are afraid that Trump will
reopen the construction for the pipeline and that they will have to back through another protest. They
say that if they had to do that they are afraid of causing a bigger problem with police and that
something very bad could happen. They just don t want any harm to their land. It s not that the natives
don t want a pipeline anywhere it s just that they would like to reroute it so it does not go through
sacred grounds. In fact many of the Indians in Oklahoma make a living off of oil pipelines and they
also were in the fight to either stop the pipeline building completely or just reroute

Large Scale Change in Business
The business model is a design for a successful operation in business, identifying revenue sources,
customer base, product and details of financing. It describes the method of how an organization or
company creates, deliver and capture values in economics, social and cultural contexts. The business
model may also be used by the company to generate revenue and make profits from the operations.
The module, therefore, includes the components and functions of a business.
Large scale change
Short term plans There are several factors that should be considered before starting a business. These
factors could be personal, social, environmental, cultural among others. Some of these factors include
changing one s standard of living, start up cost among other factors. The financial state of the
company must be considered before starting a business or expanding it to other places. At this stage,
one considers business loans from financial institutions. Such institutions could be banks, finance
brokers and other loan brokers putting into consideration there different interest rates. For the business
to succeed there must be a plan as to what business of instance a franchise, buying into an existing
business or starting a business from the bottom. Expanding business in some new areas always
requires good research and proper design making. In this case, for instance opening a jewelry shop in
Shangai china will need some research done, and it is, therefore, important to try it in

Human Overpopulation, Ocean Acidification, And Pollution
People may believe that the most important environmental issues threatening our world would be
human overpopulation, ocean acidification, and pollution. However we are forgetting how important
every environmental issue is to our planet and the humans that populate it. Ozone depletion affects
both the planet and the people. It is a very serious environmental issue that if not solved can cost us
some serious loss. The depletion of our ozone layers and the creation of the ozone hole has occurred
since the 1980 s, and it s only getting worst. The ozone layer is a form of oxygen in the molecular
form of O3. It is an unstable gas with a pungent odour, it is bluish and it is located in two parts of the
atmosphere: the stratosphere and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ozone layer in the troposphere is formed from reactions between volatile organic compounds
(VOCs) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) . These layers are vital for the formation of weather and
distribution of radiation. Without the ozone our world would be dead and have no life, just a radiated
pile of rock.
The ozone hole is a region of the ozone layer that is thinning. This hole is as big as the USA and is
located over Antarctica. The depletion of the ozone layer in Antarctic takes place there because of the
atmospheric conditions that occurs no other place in the world. Because the temperatures during the
winter is extremely low, polar stratospheric clouds form. Polar Stratospheric are located in the
stratosphere over Antarctica and the Arctic. They also convert forms of chlorine monoxide which are
man made pollutants that get trapped in these clouds. These clouds account for the deterioration of the
ozone around Antarctica and helps in the growth of the ozone hole. The ozone hole is also caused by
gases called chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) from cars, etc.
Halons (brominated fluorocarbons) also have a major effect of the formation of the hole and they can
destroy up to 10 times as much ozone as CFCs can. These gases are found in spray cans, refrigerators,
air conditioners, fire extinguishers, etc.
The ozone layer is essential to both plant and animal survival on

President Obama, President Bush, And Bush Essay
Eloquently conveying thoughts to the masses is no simple task. It entails more than just a clever
arrangement of words, or a refined set of diction. Speeches are far more intricate than that. Since
speeches are a profound form of communication that is essentially used to grasp an audience, moving
them to a particular mood or mindset, it is imperative that a speech encompass more than just
decorative rhetoric. A skillful orator understands how multifaceted crafting and delivering speeches
are and are aware of the many devices necessary to make a speech impactful. Tone, resounding
gesticulations, rhythm, a crisp but distinctive vernacular, and the usage of artistic proofs are just a few
of the significant facets to a moving effective speech. Presidents are perfect paradigms in analyzing
the effectiveness and impact of speeches. President Obama, former Presidents Clinton, and Bush will
be the crux figures utilized to dissect the speech crafting and speech delivering procedure. By
examining the rhetoric of President Obama, and former presidents Clinton and Bush, and exposing the
many idiosyncrasies prevalent in their speech deliveries, this paper seeks to prove how impactful and
effective speeches are in earning the president influential power and preserving their legacy. This
paper will also expose the behind the scene hands that work at writing speeches.
From draft to delivery, speeches require collaborative work. When a president delivers a speech, he
employs the aid of

Social Process Theory Paper
This paper will be discussing the three theories under the Social Process theory, Social learning theory,
Social Control theory, and the Social labeling theory. This paper will also be discussing the similarities
and differences of these theories. The Social Process theory is the view that criminality is a function of
people s interactions with various organizations, institutions, and processes in society. Social Learning
theory is the view that people learn to be aggressive by observing others acting aggressively to
achieve some goal or being rewarded for violent acts. A man by the name of Albert Bandura came up
with an experiment the studies the Social Learning theory; the experiment was called the Bobo Doll
Experiment. In the early 1960 s, Albert Bandura conducted this experiment and in this experiment, he
had children watch a video of an adult aggressively playing with toys, including a Bobo doll. This
adult hit the bobo doll, knocked it down and jumped on the doll screaming POW! AND Kick him!
After the children watched the video, they were then allowed to play with a lot of toys, including the

Social Control theory explains that everyone has the potential to become a criminal, but most people
are controlled by their bonds to society. Social Control theory was developed by Travis Hirsch in
1969. Under the Social Control theory, individuals break the law due to a breakdown with Society s
bond. There are four elements that constitutes society s bond. These four elements are attachment,
commitment, involvement and belief. It is to believe that when one of these four elements is broken
then that individual may then participate in criminal activity. For example, if someone doesn t interact
with others or engage I typical social behavior then that person may have the time to become involved

Fm Rouge Research Paper
Empirically, the Khmer Rouge regime, from its conception in 1975 to its fall in 1979, supremely,
holistically, and irreversibly overthrew Cambodian society. As a hard line communist movement
defined by fundamentalist socialism the Khmer Rouge, under leader Pol Pot, attempted total social
reconstruction and evolution. Envisaging a Cambodia without inequality and equal distribution of
wealth, the Khmer Rouge implemented its aims of isolation and departure from Western capitalism
through oppressive technique; in seeking a better nation, the movement indeed destroyed the
ideological and philosophical integrity of Cambodia s political system, economic structure, and social
fabric.

A major aspect of the economic impact of the Khmer Rouge was the widespread establishment of
agricultural cooperatives, or a pointed process of collectivisation, which completely changed the
dynamic of the Cambodian labour force and also the inherent means of production, distribution, and
exchange. The working population was separated into three forces who were assigned to different
aspects of the economy which were all based in advancing agriculture, be it actually producing food or
developing infrastructure to supplement it. All were expected to work 10 12 hour days and labour
conditions were generally subpar with harsh discipline and poor hygiene. In a similar fashion to
achieve economic independence in the communism model the Khmer Rouge abolished all private
ownership, leading to neglected industrial sectors and a sever deterioration in the functionality of the
tertiary industry. The essence of the economic implications of the Khmer Rouge is evident in, again,

CASE QUESTIONS – CISCO 1a. How did Cisco find itself in trouble with regard to its intended IT

spending. Independent business groups were making decisions in fuctional silos. Each group their own
funds for IT, therefore, redundant applications such as CRM systems were created. This was a global
issue as well as a localized issue. The Cisco philosophy regarding IT was simple: As long as someone

My Life In High School
Everyone always talks about how high school was so fun and you should have the time of your life,
and everyone got along, but I never quite saw it. High school for me was not a time of befriending
everyone, finding love, and fun times. To me, it was a confined prison, full of sweaty kids, stupid
drama, and overwhelming work to do. I spent the majority of the time trying to find who I belong
with, a club I fit in to, people to hang out with, and how not to be such an awkward person all the
time. I was under stress constantly, for my parents forced me to focus on nothing but school, and
despite me being focused on that, I wanted to try to hang out with friends as much as I could. I had to
learn how to balance social life, school life, and my alone time. And what a struggle that was.
Freshmen year in high school was a blur now that I look back on it. I knew nobody and nobody knew
me. I was in the band, and that was my only form of social interaction. The people who were in my
section, the trumpets, would talk to me and if we had classes together, they would sit by me and talk to
me. These same people I saw the following year and we talked more, but I still didn t hang out with
anyone outside of school. Junior year, I was also in cross country and band, and I began to socialize
more. When people made plans, I hung out with them since I had a car. I helped out my band by doing
various tasks, such as setting up and tearing down equipment, as well as assisting my band director

Finding The Steady State Temperature Distribution Of A Beam
Introduction
The aim of the project is to find the steady state temperature distribution in a beam. Since it s
impossible to solve the model analytically due to the irregular geometry of the cross section, the
temperature distribution will be found using ANSYS Mechanical to model the problem and solve
using the finite element method.
The report will go through creating the beam using some pre set values and calculating the rest using a
student s ID number and applying specific boundary conditions.
The temperature distribution will be investigated by changing the boundary conditions of the front
surface and inside of the pipe to being fully insulated and later, the heat transfer coefficient will be
changed from 60 to 10W/m2 with the results being recorded between changes. The differences
between each changes on the model will be discussed in the results/discussion section. Model

The Changes Medicare Needs
A number of changes to both state workers compensation laws and the MSPA would eliminate the
problems inherent in the current system. These solutions include modifying state workers
compensation laws to permit the parties to settle only the indemnity portion of the claim in states that
do not already do so, applying the MSPA only to cases in which the primary payer is legally obligated
to pay, instituting a safe harbor threshold amount for settlements, creating a right of appeal from
Medicare s rejection of a settlement proposal, and allowing claimant s to waive their rights to certain
treatments under Medicare. Any one of these changes implemented on its own would be an
improvement, but implementing all of them would create a much fairer system.
A. State Legislative Remedies The Medicare set aside requirement is intended to prevent workers
compensation insurers from shifting the expense of the claimant s future medical treatment to
Medicare. It is therefore only a hindrance to settlement when the settlement is intended to include
compensation for future medical expenses. Some states have enacted workers compensation laws that
permit the settlement of only the indemnity portion of the claim, ending the insurer s liability for that
portion while leaving the medical aspect of the claim open. In such instances, the insurer remains
liable for the claimant s future medical treatment, and there is therefore no potential for shifting the
cost to Medicare. As such, Medicare

Nicole Brown Simpson Research Paper
At 12:10 a.m. on June 13, 1994, the bodies of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were
found by Los Angeles Police brutally murdered. Steven Schwab, a neighbor of Nicole, was out with
his dog late at night going for a walk. While they were walking, Schwab came across a dog with blood
on its paws. The dog followed Schwab back to his house, neighbors of Schwab Sukru Boztepe and
Bettina Rasmussen offered to keep the dog overnight. The dog, named Kato was barking and running

Soon after the bodies were found, the police started looking for OJ Simpson, father of Nicole s
children and former husband to Nicole. Around 11 p.m., a limousine driver named Allan Park, was

The development of literacy for students in pre K through 1st grade all need a basic understanding of
letter recognition, knowing phonics, and the difference between vowel sounds when they are long and
short. Once these skills are established progression will be made with the introduction of diphthongs
and blends. Ways that allow students to learn these basics without losing interest with posters and
reads alouds is incorporating interactive videos such as LeapFrog where it draws the students in with
it being set up as a cartoon and episodes of SuperWhy to reinforce what has been taught in a fun and
exciting way. Another form of teaching through these subjects are the use of computer applications
such as StarFall.
When there is a large incorporation of activities that are interactive with children at an early age with
reading it allows them to make a connection that there is more than just words on a page. Therefore,
creating enjoyment when it comes to having to read or be read to which is very crucial especially in
the early years of a child so they would want to continue having a desire to read as they progress
through their educational career. It is important for a child to not feel forced when it comes to learning
to read because then there is pressure on them and a strong sense of boredom often found with the
child feeling like it is nothing but a drawn out process of having to stare at a page of words, which can
later deteriorate a joy of reading and discourage

Video Game Report
Introduction
In my following report, I d be going over what computer games developers do and elaborate on the
hardware and software which would be required for a games developers use and how its use for it. I
will also be going over the specifications for what is uses to create a video game and explain the
programs and the codes that should be used for it.
Explain IT system roles for a specific industry role
A Computer games developer creates, develops and codes computer games. There are a lot of different
kind of games on platforms such as first person shooters to flash games that you can play on Facebook
or a website. A computer game can take up to months or even years to create and develop, and
involves a range of job roles. A computer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Secondly, Small console games on the Xbox Live Arcade or windows can also be developed in C#
program, Java Script or Visual Basics with or without the shader code depending how big the memory
is or the graphics for your game. IOS games for iPhone/iPad/iPod are usually developed in Objective
C, it can also write in C++ code. Android Games are usually Java. Or C++, shader code for graphics is
done in OpenGL, Other mobile platforms are either C++, Java Script or some custom language
framework. Python would be good if you re using Python based game engine. It is good to code
servers and desktop applications as well.
In addition, not only has that but computer games developers used certain types of hardware for their
work such as:
GPU A Graphics Processing Unit is a chip processor mainly used to manage and boost the
performances of images, animations, videos and graphics. If you are developing a game application
that focuses on visuals, often requiring the end user to have a powerful graphics processor to play on
your game. The developer s graphics card should be as good as the recommended end user s card.
CPU The Central Processing Unit the (CPU) is the unit, which performs most of the processing inside
a computer. To control instructions and data flow to and from other parts of the computer, CPU must
rely on chip sets, which is a microchip located on the motherboard. Computer game developers can

The Misconceptions Of Authoritarianism
Authoritarianism is a regime type and, furthermore, a political vision that seeks to create compliance
in authority and establish order and peace by striving for absolute legitimacy. In an authoritarian
regime, power relations are vertically organized, where there is little to no accountability for those in
power and where civil and political rights of citizens, if established, are restrictive and violated. Two
common misconceptions of authoritarianism are that they are durable and they have always have a
paternal figure as leader. To the first point: though an authoritarian regime would be relatively simple
to establish, the difficult task of legitimizing and consolidating absolute authority makes authoritarian
rule an incredibly arduous endeavour. Authoritarian regimes can easily be snubbed out as quickly as
they began to burn, pointing to how the legitimacy of authority is by far the most essential tool to the
authoritarian. But who is the authoritarian? Many see authoritarian regimes as patrimonial, meaning
that though there still might be complex institutions of bureaucracy, security, and even political
parties, all authority comes from the top and the top alone. However, there can also be authoritarian
regimes run by an institution, whether through a military junta or hegemonic political party.
Authoritarianism can easily derive from civil society instead of through the military, yet the coercive
powers of military are essential for consolidating power. The rise and

Forest Fires In North America
All around the world, environments are constantly changing. Forest fires take part in the way our
environment change and although an increase in forest fires in North America can negatively affect
some species, it provides opportunities for many others. Certain species have found ways to adapt and
thrive in forest fires while others need fire for reproductive success. Forest fires also promote diversity
and a healthy ecosystem. The longer term one looks, the more opportunities can be seen for species to
evolve through forest fires. Although many people believe forest fires negatively affect species, forest
fires help to keep a healthy ecosystem and promote diversity. When a forest fire occurs, it kills many
plants and animals. When older plants and animals are killed in a forest fire, it allows the forest to be
reborn again. It gives opportunities for new plants, fungi and other organisms to recolonize the land.
Also, ashes that remain after a fire contain lots of nutrients for incoming trees and other vegetation.

A disease such as a bark beetle infestation can destroy the part of the tree that transfers nutrients
throughout the tree. Forest fires kill these pests and some other infected trees which will give other
healthy trees the opportunity to be nourished by the burned vegetation that contains nutrients. It also
eliminates the number of pests that can infest these trees. Forest fires also allow for new habitats to be
formed. Forest animals take shelter in wildlands, and often can get covered in heavy brush. A fire will
clear all that away and leave room for new shrubs and grasses. When heavy shrubs are removed from
a fire, water supply is increased. This increased water supply can benefit different types of plants and

Freshman Year Disaster
Freshman year, I imagined that year to be amazing. I wanted it to just have an awesome flow but did
it? It did in the beginning then a bomb went off during the middle of the year and turned freshman
year into a complete disaster. Freshman year was supposed to be about having a great start to the rest
of your high school life before you enter the big bad world but other students just couldn t help
themselves but to create that bomb during the middle of my freshman year. The year you were a tiny
fish in a big pond. I remember freshman year being a complete disaster, there is so many juicy events
that took part in making this year a disaster but the one that hits home the most was during the middle
of the year. The day started off like a normal school, this day was actually turning out to be great. Of
course, that did not last. I get this text from a friend saying Hey, you need to check this out there was a
screenshot of a picture along with it. I couldn t really see what it was so I clicked on it to get a better
look. Before I tell you what the picture was, hold onto your hats because this is what made the rest of
freshman year a disaster. I click on the picture, it was this instagram page with some girls private part

What Happens When Relationship Building Strategies Do Not...
Relationship Building
When in a leadership position, building relationships is an important aspect. These relationships create
a network that can be used in times of need, creating change, and increase overall confidence between
yourself and your peers, clients, leaders, and subordinates. Throughout this week s reading we learned
about the many relationship building strategies. This journal will outline my relationship building
strategies, both within and outside work situations, and what happens when my strategies do not work.

As a new leader these strategies are ones that I will have to work on before I fully employ them. Two
of these strategies that would work best with me are developing mutual interests with clients and
becoming a collaborator (Gilley, 2006). Developing interests with clients allows me to ask open ended
questions that help to search for common interests. These interests help build rapport, which can help
me develop new ideas or improvements for the organization. Becoming a collaborator includes
tailoring interactions to the audience (Gilley, 2006). I am constantly doing this because not everyone is
going to react the same way, want the same information, or care about the subject. When common
interests are found the relationship and interaction between myself and others will become more
productive or meaningful.
Outside Situations
All of these strategies can be used outside of work as well. This, I believe, is because humans need
interactions and relationships to be happy. One does not have to be cut and dry at all times. It is
finding a balance between professionalism and normalcy. Understanding the common interest between
yourself and those around you, will help to increase the quality of time being spent with others. While
one does not need to be politically savvy around their non work friends, it can improve their thoughts
toward you and your family. Observing your

The Pros And Cons Of Artificial Intelligence
Although there are many threats and worries with Artificial Intelligence there are also many benefits
that can outweigh the negatives. Our society is already experiencing this technology in vehicles that
have auto sensing and braking capabilities. Another really intriguing feature of AI would be faster and
more accurate web searches. I believe being able to provide information instantly will further improve
lives and the business world, since time is money. Today we call artificial intelligence narrow artificial
intelligence which means artificial intelligence that is weak. Google is an example of narrow artificial
intelligence that we use every day. Other examples of narrow artificial intelligence include ATMs and
touchless car washes, they are designed to execute a set of tasks. Whereas AI can learn set tasks and
create new tasks based on its intuition and ability to think and problem solve for itself. What s in store
for Artificial intelligence within the next 5 years (believe me a lot can happen with technology in 5
years)? 3 D printers, IOT (internet of things), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) are
taking the spotlight light currently. These technologies will exponentially improve and become more
commonplace in the business world then expand into the consumer market once businesses have
improved their capabilities as a pioneer in the technologies. One can expect 3 D printers to be able to
print everything from cars/trucks to tissue cells for

Descriptive Essay On A Track
All eighth graders to the SLV track called the muffley voice over the loudspeaker. As soon as I heard
this voice I shuddered with great anxiety and fear. How could I possibly race while I was shaking and
nervous? Come on, the race is about to start! shouted my friend Addy. The smell of burnt rubber tarred
my lunges and made it hard to breath, but as I looked farther from the track I saw myself standing
among the great Redwoods and Oaks. Trees that would tower over me with wisdom and age. The
sound of cheers wiped away my vision while I slowly walked toward the track. There was nothing that
could stop me from getting off this horrid track and running into a mirage of beauty. This track, this
horrible horrible track was a large part of my middle school years. I hated this track with a passion so
deep that my absolute favorite part of running the SLV cross country course was crossing the finish
line and little to nothing in between. The track was made of what seemed to be a material with a
pumas stone like texture, each of the small indents in the track told a story of the past with an
individual uniqueness about themselves. The color of the track was burned directly into my mind, the
redness of the track was like a burning hellfire ready to break loose at any moment. The redness of the
track would catch onto anything, still today the soles of my running shoes are stained with the same
red I no longer have to worry about today. The scent of the track was even worse than

The Emergence Of The National Curriculum For England
In this assignment, I will be discussing the emergence of the National Curriculum for England, and
how reforms have led to its evolution into the present framework. I will also be looking at current
theories of teaching and learning, and how the National Curriculum 2014 for science reflects these. I
will consider how the curriculum document structures how teachers should teach, and also what types
of learning theories and teaching approaches might support the teacher in delivering the curriculum.
The first part of this assignment will focus on the English Curriculum for primary education. England
has not always had a National Curriculum. Even after the Education Act of 1944, which introduced a
tripartite system of free schooling for all children, there were no statutory requirements for schools
other than the inclusion of religious education. In 1953, the first non selective school opened and
changes began to be made with the intention of modernising the primary and secondary school
curricula (Arthur and Cremin, p.284). The Plowden Report of 1967 argued for a primary school
curriculum that would allow children to live happily and usefully , stressing the importance of other
skills besides those of reading, writing and arithmetic (Plowden, p186).
However, The shift to more progressive ideas of a child centred curriculum led to accusations of a
decline in educational standards, leading to a turning point in modern educational history (Davis 2002
p275), the William

Financial System is like the heart of the human beings, if it stops working then the person is dead in
the same way that if the financial system stops working, then the economy would collapse. It is
inherent in every society the law of supply and demand. There will always be those who have surplus
resources and others will have deficit. Financial System is crucial to the allocation of these resources.

as the first governor. The main duties and responsibilities of the Central Bank were to promote
economic development and maintain internal and external monetary stability. The Central Bank
extensively regulated the commercial banking system and engaged in considerable rediscounting
activity. Interest rates were set usually below the market clearing rate. Commercial bank lending
tended to be short term and granted to known and established clients. The system had periods of
instability with several bank runs and a few failures. In 1980, at the instigation of the World Bank and
the IMF, several measures were passed to increase competition in the financial sector, achieve greater
efficiency, and increase borrowers access to long term funds. Large banks with a net worth of at least
P500 million could engage in expanded commercial banking, or unibanking , combining commercial
and investment banking activities. In 1988 there were eight unibanks, including the Philippine
National Bank. Further liberalization had occurred in 1983 when interest rate shifted from being
administered to being market determined. Most agree that better economic outcomes are achieved
when interest rates are market determined. Market determined rates allow investors and savers to base
their decisions on market conditions and the scarcity of capital and also provide policymakers with
clearer signals of market conditions. A series of crises hit the Philippines making the

The Gap Between The Rich And Poor Essay
I was born and brought up in Nairobi, Kenya. Demographically, my family was typically part of
Kenya s urban poor. As a young boy, I was constantly confronted by the realities and debilitating
impact of poverty. At the age of twelve, I was transferred from a Nairobi based primary school to a
boarding primary school in rural Kenya where I eventually excelled and emerged the best in the
district during national examinations, earning me admission to one of the best high schools in the
country.
While in high school, I not only developed my leadership skills as a school prefect and a deputy
school captain but also discovered new talent as I went on to become a national champion in national
operatic music competitions. Talent and education opened up my eyes to a world of possibilities and
opportunities beyond my imagination.
Nonetheless, the reality of the gap between the rich and poor remained stark in darker shades of black
and lighter shades of white. To me, the root and the problem of poverty was no longer shrouded in a
gray shroud of mystery. It dawned on me that education a necessary condition to the emancipation of
the poor from the shackles of hopeless travail. It was through education that, for the first time, options
were laid out in front of me. I could choose a different future for myself and my future offspring. I
could fathom a flat world, one that presented equal opportunity to all, regardless of tribe, gender or
social background. I could choose to be part of the

To commence, I decided to peruse historical novels associating with the Cambodian Vietnamese

However, the library lost the novel; I looked everywhere on the shelf and came up with nothing. So I

Arthropods are the Major Component in Animal Diversity
Introduction Arthropods appeared in early Cambriand and since the burst, the Cambrian radiation, the
species have been the major component of animal diversity in the past of 520 million years
(Edgecombe, 2010). They are probably the most diverse animals on earth, know species reach almost
one and two hundred milion, accounting for over 80% of animal living species (Thanukos, 2008).
Ranging sizes from less than 1mm and more thand 4m, arthropods vary from herbivores and
carnivores, parasitic and free living, social and solitary, being extreme ubiquitous they can be found
everywhere on the planet, to deepest oceans and highest mountains (Wheeler et al, 2004). Arthropods
possesses a wide range of taxonomic and structural diversity, ancient fossil record and a prefered
model system to study morphogenisis, therefore it could awnser many questions regarding
evolutionary biology (Regier Shultz, 1997). To awnser those questions is required a a phylogenetic
framework. Unfortunally evolutionary relationships among the majorority of arthropods groups are
still controversial (Regier Shultz, 1997). One of the problems of phylogenetic reconstruction of
arthropods is the choice of a outgroup (Giribet Ribera, 1997). Acording to Giribet Ribera (1997) an
outgrup must be historically related to the members of the ingroup. Other problem is about polyphyly
and monophyly and relationships in subphyla Chelicerata, Atelocerata and Crustacea (Regier Shultz,
1997). With advancements in

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Recycling Plastic
Introduction
Plastic in its various forms is the most useful but cheap invention that mankind has ever made .
Having widespread applications from industries to minute household stuff, its utility cannot be
expressed in a few sentences.
But, at the same time, plastics possess a property which makes nature quite vulnerable to their misuse.
This property namely is NON BIODEGRADABILITY. By closely observing the structure of plastic,
we come to know that plastic is made of extremely strong carbon carbon bonds, which cannot be
easily broken down into small units by any natural processes. This property of non biodegradability
poses a serious threat to the environment.
So what is the solution to this problem? This problem has a simple, yet effective ... Show more content

* It has a better Particle compression ratio of 3/1 to 5/1.[6]
* Most importantly, this works on the principle of continuous compressions, wherein plastics are not
physically damaged due to plastic s less deformable nature. This can be explained with the data [6]
that fracture point in the stress strain graph for plastic material such as Polypropylene may be as high
as 80 Mpa, whereas that of organic material such as wood is 40 Mpa. Other organic things are easier
to break. So, if we apply a stress between these two critical pressures we can break the organic matter
keeping the plastic intact. The exact value should be optimised experimentally.

The Shah s Adaptation And Endorsement Of Islam
Throughout the history of present day Iran it has been contested whether the Shi i ulama or the Shah
are the logical leaders of the community. It is true that the ulama have gained control of Iran, and that
Islam changed much in Iran, but in some respects continuity from the past was far stronger than the
new concepts (Frye 36) due to the fact that the power of the Shah remained for hundreds of years after
the introduction of Islam. The Iranian people have a long history of traditions and culture and even
when Islam spread throughout the country it was adapted to include some of the Iranian traditions.
The most significant example of this is the Shah s adaptation and endorsement of Islam. The long

The office of the Shah has had such an impact that one may find in the literature and in the art of Iran
evidence for a powerful and continuing charisma of kingship, even through great upheavals and
changes in the history of the land (Frye 36). The Shahs in pre Islamic Persia established legitimacy by
charisma and by being a religious leader because the people believed Ahura Mazda confers on the
king charisma and special wisdom. The king s duty was to enforce the law, social order, and
righteousness, however if social unrest occurred, it was a sign that the dynasty had lost divine favor.
The Iranian theory of kingship lasted for a long periods of time because the Shahs who ruled were
charismatic and successful at establishing legitimacy, and if not they were able to be disposed of by
the religious priests and nobles. The Shahs in post Islamic Iran needed to learn to establish legitimacy
in a region where the people were disposing of Zoroastrian beliefs and converting to the Shī a
ideology of Islam. The Shah that managed to merge traditional role of a Shah and the religious aspects
of Islam was Shāh Ismāʿil. This Shah needed to establish his legitimacy and did so in two important
and relevant ways. First, Shāh Ismāʿil used the the ancient Persian concept of kingship which was

Biography of Moses Essay
Main focus will be on Moses. He was the greatest prophet, leader, and teacher of Judaism. By
focusing on Moses, I ll incorporate the importance of certain passages that prove the Old Testament;
and show how Moses role was significant and essential to the Hebrews.
Moses 1400 B.C.E
In a nutshell...
Moses was born in a very difficult time: Pharaoh had ordered that all male children born to Hebrew
slaves should be drowned in the river (Exodus. 1:22). Moses mother hid him for three months, and
when she could no longer hide him, she put him in an ark and placed it on the river where Pharaoh s

People of Mesopotamia, Egypt, India accepted various gods. However descendents of Abraham who
traveled through the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers [from Abrahams Native Ur to Egypt] came in contact
with many different religious beliefs.
In the Hebrew bible, the golden calf was an idol made by Aaron for the Israelites during Moses
unexpectedly long absence. It is first mentioned in Exodus 32:4.
When Moses went up onto Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments (Exodus 19:20), he left the
Israelites for forty days and forty nights (Exodus 24:18). The Israelites feared that he would not return,
and asked Aaron to make a god for them (Exodus 32:1). The Bible does not note Aaron s opinion of
this request; merely that he complied, and gathered up the Israelites golden earrings. He melted them
to construct the golden calf. He also built an altar before the calf, and the next day, the Israelites made
offerings and celebrated.
G d told Moses that his people had corrupted themselves, and that he planned to eliminate them, but
Moses argued and pleaded that they should be spared (Exodus 32:11); G d relented. Moses came down
from the mountain, but upon seeing the calf, he became very angry; and as a result threw down the
tablets upon which G d s law had been written causing them to break. He ground up the golden calf,
mixed its powder with water, and forced the Israelites to drink it. Then he gathered the tribe of Levi,
(Moses was Levi s great grandchildren. Their

  • 2. The Coming of Intelligent Green Vehicles A Report from the TechCast Project While many people simply want to get from A to B, transportation options (and especially automobiles) have to meet a variety of consumer demands: They must be clean, affordable, safe, and increasingly intelligent. Here is an overview of the choices and challenges for carmakers and consumers over the next 10 to 15 years. Imagine being able to sit back during your morning commute while your car does the driving. Would you move closer to the country? Take up the oboe? Finally read War and. Peace? And just imagine the freedom it would bring to those who are disabled. Take, for instance, the legally blind man who earlier in 2012 took a spin in Google s self driving car to go to Taco Bell and then ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... And China, driven by the need to conserve energy and avoid pollution, plans to have 5 million vehicles powered only by electric motors (all electrics) on the road by 2020. All electric vehicles (EVs) have existed almost as long as gas engine vehicles, offering advantages of refueling with relatively cheap electricity, quieter ride, and simpler mechanisms. They emit no pollutants, require no fossil fuels, and the electricity to power them can be generated from clean sources such as wind and solar in years to come. They can be recharged from 110 or 220 volt outlets at nominal cost and do not require oil changes, tune ups or emissions inspections. The shift to electric powered cars is expected to cause sales of gasoline and diesel powered cars to begin to decline about 2020. EVs remain limited by range on a single battery charge and time required for recharge. However, significant advances in batteries and capacitors and the emergence of home and public charging and exchange stations are making EVs more practical. Some plug in hybrids, like the GM Volt, are designed for all electric drive with on board charging. Improvements in technology will show up directly as models with increased range for all battery or all ultraca pacitor mode appear in the market. • 5. My First Day At Excelsis Root Canal Specialties Essay I remember my first day at Excelsis Root Canal Specialties. I was beyond scared and nervous. This job was my first full time position I have had. To be honest I, never really pictured myself working in the dental field. I was terrified of the dentist as a child. At that time, I was a newly divorced single mother of two who had just moved back home with her parents. I was going through a rough patch and needed a job to survive. I started searching online and applied everywhere. I remember getting the phone call from the office manager for my interview. I immediately started going through my closet to find something clean and professional for my interview. I also had to figure what who would watch my kids while I was working. I ended up trying an in home daycare for my oldest for a little bit which didn t work out. They both ended up staying with my parents. After I attended the interview, I was confident in myself that I would be called back for the position. In the beginning, I was walking on eggshells afraid to make the wrong move. It was around 7:30 in the morning before any of the patients had arrive. I was introduced to all the coworkers. After that, I was shown to my desk. The office manager was the person who trained me. We started going over how to check patients in, answer phones, and verify insurances. When the first patient came in, I felt like a little mouse in a huge church hall. Whenever I tried to say something, I stumbled across my words. During our lunch ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The main theory suggested in this document is that, women had to follow the traditional duties. Early theories are being questioned as a result to women proving many things over the years that were often overlooked. Ehrenreich states in his article, it does strongly suggest that in the Stone Age family, Dad the hunter was not the only provider. There is a great amount of evidence that suggest the theory that women worked as hard as men. Adrienne Zihlman and Nancy Tanner stated among surviving hunting peoples, most of the community s calories up to 70% come from plant food patiently gathered by women. This fact ... • 7. An Analysis Of Sherman s Unorthodox Tactics Of The Civil War Aaron Ganss Dr. Lisa Arter ENGL 2010: Toulmin Argument 20 July 2015 General Sherman s Unorthodox Tactics that Ended the Civil War Scorched farms, slaughtered livestock, uprooted railway lines and cities set on fire was not typical battle strategy previously seen on American soil. However, the Civil War was dragging on and General William Tecumseh Sherman was determined to finally end the fighting. The circumstances that initiated the war created a figurative and literal divide unlike America had ever seen. The American Civil War took heavy tolls on the Union and Confederate States of America. Desperate to end the bloodshed, President Abraham Lincoln trusted Ulysses S. Grant control of the Army and Grant authorized Sherman the freedom to do whatever necessary to bring conclusion to the conflict (Davis 22). In the military mind of Sherman, the end justified the means and this belief is well documented throughout his 1864 and 1865 campaign through Georgia, concluding in Goldsboro, North Carolina (Phillips 11). Sherman despised war and the fact that America had entered into a civil war in the first place. However, Sherman knew the conflict was unavoidable (Meiers 26). He made the decision to follow his allegiance to the Union and eventually became the general to lead the Armies of the Cumberland, the Ohio, and the Tennessee into the heart of Georgia (Moody 22). Human Overpopulation, Ocean Acidification, And Pollution People may believe that the most important environmental issues threatening our world would be human overpopulation, ocean acidification, and pollution. However we are forgetting how important every environmental issue is to our planet and the humans that populate it. Ozone depletion affects both the planet and the people. It is a very serious environmental issue that if not solved can cost us some serious loss. The depletion of our ozone layers and the creation of the ozone hole has occurred since the 1980 s, and it s only getting worst. The ozone layer is a form of oxygen in the molecular form of O3. The ozone layer in the troposphere is formed from reactions between volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) . These layers are vital for the formation of weather and distribution of radiation. Without the ozone our world would be dead and have no life, just a radiated pile of rock. The ozone hole is a region of the ozone layer that is thinning. This hole is as big as the USA and is located over Antarctica. The depletion of the ozone layer in Antarctic takes place there because of the atmospheric conditions that occurs no other place in the world. Because the temperatures during the winter is extremely low, polar stratospheric clouds form. Polar Stratospheric are located in the stratosphere over Antarctica and the Arctic. They also convert forms of chlorine monoxide which are man made pollutants that get trapped in these clouds. These clouds account for the deterioration of the ozone around Antarctica and helps in the growth of the ozone hole. The ozone hole is also caused by gases called chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs) from cars, etc. Halons (brominated fluorocarbons) also have a major effect of the formation of the hole and they can destroy up to 10 times as much ozone as CFCs can. High school for me was not a time of befriending everyone, finding love, and fun times. To me, it was a confined prison, full of sweaty kids, stupid drama, and overwhelming work to do. I spent the majority of the time trying to find who I belong with, a club I fit in to, people to hang out with, and how not to be such an awkward person all the time. I was under stress constantly, for my parents forced me to focus on nothing but school, and despite me being focused on that, I wanted to try to hang out with friends as much as I could. Since it s impossible to solve the model analytically due to the irregular geometry of the cross section, the temperature distribution will be found using ANSYS Mechanical to model the problem and solve using the finite element method. The report will go through creating the beam using some pre set values and calculating the rest using a student s ID number and applying specific boundary conditions. The temperature distribution will be investigated by changing the boundary conditions of the front surface and inside of the pipe to being fully insulated and later, the heat transfer coefficient will be changed from 60 to 10W/m2 with the results being recorded between changes. The differences between each changes on the model will be discussed in the results/discussion section. • 18. The Changes Medicare Needs A number of changes to both state workers compensation laws and the MSPA would eliminate the problems inherent in the current system. These solutions include modifying state workers compensation laws to permit the parties to settle only the indemnity portion of the claim in states that do not already do so, applying the MSPA only to cases in which the primary payer is legally obligated to pay, instituting a safe harbor threshold amount for settlements, creating a right of appeal from Medicare s rejection of a settlement proposal, and allowing claimant s to waive their rights to certain treatments under Medicare. Any one of these changes implemented on its own would be an improvement, but implementing all of them would create a much fairer system. A. State Legislative Remedies The Medicare set aside requirement is intended to prevent workers compensation insurers from shifting the expense of the claimant s future medical treatment to Medicare. It is therefore only a hindrance to settlement when the settlement is intended to include compensation for future medical expenses. Some states have enacted workers compensation laws that permit the settlement of only the indemnity portion of the claim, ending the insurer s liability for that portion while leaving the medical aspect of the claim open. In such instances, the insurer remains liable for the claimant s future medical treatment, and there is therefore no potential for shifting the cost to Medicare. As such, Medicare ... The Misconceptions Of Authoritarianism Authoritarianism is a regime type and, furthermore, a political vision that seeks to create compliance in authority and establish order and peace by striving for absolute legitimacy. In an authoritarian regime, power relations are vertically organized, where there is little to no accountability for those in power and where civil and political rights of citizens, if established, are restrictive and violated. Two common misconceptions of authoritarianism are that they are durable and they have always have a paternal figure as leader. To the first point: though an authoritarian regime would be relatively simple to establish, the difficult task of legitimizing and consolidating absolute authority makes authoritarian rule an incredibly arduous endeavour. Authoritarian regimes can easily be snubbed out as quickly as they began to burn, pointing to how the legitimacy of authority is by far the most essential tool to the authoritarian. But who is the authoritarian? Many see authoritarian regimes as patrimonial, meaning that though there still might be complex institutions of bureaucracy, security, and even political parties, all authority comes from the top and the top alone. These interests help build rapport, which can help me develop new ideas or improvements for the organization. Becoming a collaborator includes tailoring interactions to the audience (Gilley, 2006). Outside Situations All of these strategies can be used outside of work as well. This, I believe, is because humans need interactions and relationships to be happy. One does not have to be cut and dry at all times. It is finding a balance between professionalism and normalcy. • 29. The Pros And Cons Of Artificial Intelligence Although there are many threats and worries with Artificial Intelligence there are also many benefits that can outweigh the negatives. Our society is already experiencing this technology in vehicles that have auto sensing and braking capabilities. Another really intriguing feature of AI would be faster and more accurate web searches. I believe being able to provide information instantly will further improve lives and the business world, since time is money. Today we call artificial intelligence narrow artificial intelligence which means artificial intelligence that is weak. Google is an example of narrow artificial intelligence that we use every day. Other examples of narrow artificial intelligence include ATMs and touchless car washes, they are designed to execute a set of tasks. Whereas AI can learn set tasks and create new tasks based on its intuition and ability to think and problem solve for itself. What s in store for Artificial intelligence within the next 5 years (believe me a lot can happen with technology in 5 years)? 3 D printers, IOT (internet of things), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI) are taking the spotlight light currently. These technologies will exponentially improve and become more commonplace in the business world then expand into the consumer market once businesses have improved their capabilities as a pioneer in the technologies. • 30. Descriptive Essay On A Track All eighth graders to the SLV track called the muffley voice over the loudspeaker. As soon as I heard this voice I shuddered with great anxiety and fear. How could I possibly race while I was shaking and nervous? Come on, the race is about to start! shouted my friend Addy. The smell of burnt rubber tarred my lunges and made it hard to breath, but as I looked farther from the track I saw myself standing among the great Redwoods and Oaks. Trees that would tower over me with wisdom and age. The sound of cheers wiped away my vision while I slowly walked toward the track. There was nothing that could stop me from getting off this horrid track and running into a mirage of beauty. This track, this horrible horrible track was a large part of my middle school years. I hated this track with a passion so deep that my absolute favorite part of running the SLV cross country course was crossing the finish line and little to nothing in between. The track was made of what seemed to be a material with a pumas stone like texture, each of the small indents in the track told a story of the past with an individual uniqueness about themselves. The color of the track was burned directly into my mind, the redness of the track was like a burning hellfire ready to break loose at any moment. The redness of the track would catch onto anything, still today the soles of my running shoes are stained with the same red I no longer have to worry about today. • 31. The Emergence Of The National Curriculum For England In this assignment, I will be discussing the emergence of the National Curriculum for England, and how reforms have led to its evolution into the present framework. I will also be looking at current theories of teaching and learning, and how the National Curriculum 2014 for science reflects these. I will consider how the curriculum document structures how teachers should teach, and also what types of learning theories and teaching approaches might support the teacher in delivering the curriculum. The first part of this assignment will focus on the English Curriculum for primary education. England has not always had a National Curriculum. Even after the Education Act of 1944, which introduced a tripartite system of free schooling for all children, there were no statutory requirements for schools other than the inclusion of religious education. In 1953, the first non selective school opened and changes began to be made with the intention of modernising the primary and secondary school curricula (Arthur and Cremin, p.284). The Plowden Report of 1967 argued for a primary school curriculum that would allow children to live happily and usefully , stressing the importance of other skills besides those of reading, writing and arithmetic (Plowden, p186). However, The shift to more progressive ideas of a child centred curriculum led to accusations of a decline in educational standards, leading to a turning point in modern educational history (Davis 2002 p275), the William ... The main duties and responsibilities of the Central Bank were to promote economic development and maintain internal and external monetary stability. The Central Bank extensively regulated the commercial banking system and engaged in considerable rediscounting activity. Interest rates were set usually below the market clearing rate. Commercial bank lending tended to be short term and granted to known and established clients. The system had periods of instability with several bank runs and a few failures. In 1980, at the instigation of the World Bank and the IMF, several measures were passed to increase competition in the financial sector, achieve greater efficiency, and increase borrowers access to long term funds. Large banks with a net worth of at least P500 million could engage in expanded commercial banking, or unibanking , combining commercial and investment banking activities. In 1988 there were eight unibanks, including the Philippine National Bank. Further liberalization had occurred in 1983 when interest rate shifted from being administered to being market determined. • 33. The Gap Between The Rich And Poor Essay I was born and brought up in Nairobi, Kenya. Demographically, my family was typically part of Kenya s urban poor. As a young boy, I was constantly confronted by the realities and debilitating impact of poverty. At the age of twelve, I was transferred from a Nairobi based primary school to a boarding primary school in rural Kenya where I eventually excelled and emerged the best in the district during national examinations, earning me admission to one of the best high schools in the country. While in high school, I not only developed my leadership skills as a school prefect and a deputy school captain but also discovered new talent as I went on to become a national champion in national operatic music competitions. Talent and education opened up my eyes to a world of possibilities and opportunities beyond my imagination. Nonetheless, the reality of the gap between the rich and poor remained stark in darker shades of black and lighter shades of white. To me, the root and the problem of poverty was no longer shrouded in a gray shroud of mystery. It dawned on me that education a necessary condition to the emancipation of the poor from the shackles of hopeless travail. It was through education that, for the first time, options were laid out in front of me. I could choose a different future for myself and my future offspring. I could fathom a flat world, one that presented equal opportunity to all, regardless of tribe, gender or social background. I could choose to be part of the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Martin Luther King Jr. library was the only library I could think that held numerous, historical chronicles. Arthropods are the Major Component in Animal Diversity Introduction Arthropods appeared in early Cambriand and since the burst, the Cambrian radiation, the species have been the major component of animal diversity in the past of 520 million years (Edgecombe, 2010). They are probably the most diverse animals on earth, know species reach almost one and two hundred milion, accounting for over 80% of animal living species (Thanukos, 2008). Ranging sizes from less than 1mm and more thand 4m, arthropods vary from herbivores and carnivores, parasitic and free living, social and solitary, being extreme ubiquitous they can be found everywhere on the planet, to deepest oceans and highest mountains (Wheeler et al, 2004). Arthropods possesses a wide range of taxonomic and structural diversity, ancient fossil record and a prefered model system to study morphogenisis, therefore it could awnser many questions regarding evolutionary biology (Regier Shultz, 1997). To awnser those questions is required a a phylogenetic framework. Unfortunally evolutionary relationships among the majorority of arthropods groups are still controversial (Regier Shultz, 1997). One of the problems of phylogenetic reconstruction of arthropods is the choice of a outgroup (Giribet Ribera, 1997). Acording to Giribet Ribera (1997) an outgrup must be historically related to the members of the ingroup. Other problem is about polyphyly and monophyly and relationships in subphyla Chelicerata, Atelocerata and Crustacea (Regier Shultz, 1997). With advancements in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Having widespread applications from industries to minute household stuff, its utility cannot be expressed in a few sentences. But, at the same time, plastics possess a property which makes nature quite vulnerable to their misuse. This property namely is NON BIODEGRADABILITY. By closely observing the structure of plastic, we come to know that plastic is made of extremely strong carbon carbon bonds, which cannot be easily broken down into small units by any natural processes. This property of non biodegradability poses a serious threat to the environment. So what is the solution to this problem? This problem has a simple, yet effective ... This can be explained with the data [6] that fracture point in the stress strain graph for plastic material such as Polypropylene may be as high as 80 Mpa, whereas that of organic material such as wood is 40 Mpa. Other organic things are easier to break. So, if we apply a stress between these two critical pressures we can break the organic matter keeping the plastic intact. The office of the Shah has had such an impact that one may find in the literature and in the art of Iran evidence for a powerful and continuing charisma of kingship, even through great upheavals and changes in the history of the land (Frye 36). The Shahs in pre Islamic Persia established legitimacy by charisma and by being a religious leader because the people believed Ahura Mazda confers on the king charisma and special wisdom. The king s duty was to enforce the law, social order, and righteousness, however if social unrest occurred, it was a sign that the dynasty had lost divine favor. The Iranian theory of kingship lasted for a long periods of time because the Shahs who ruled were charismatic and successful at establishing legitimacy, and if not they were able to be disposed of by the religious priests and nobles. The Shahs in post Islamic Iran needed to learn to establish legitimacy in a region where the people were disposing of Zoroastrian beliefs and converting to the Shī a ideology of Islam. In the Hebrew bible, the golden calf was an idol made by Aaron for the Israelites during Moses unexpectedly long absence. It is first mentioned in Exodus 32:4. When Moses went up onto Mount Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments (Exodus 19:20), he left the Israelites for forty days and forty nights (Exodus 24:18). The Israelites feared that he would not return, and asked Aaron to make a god for them (Exodus 32:1). The Bible does not note Aaron s opinion of this request; merely that he complied, and gathered up the Israelites golden earrings. He melted them to construct the golden calf. He also built an altar before the calf, and the next day, the Israelites made offerings and celebrated. G d told Moses that his people had corrupted themselves, and that he planned to eliminate them, but Moses argued and pleaded that they should be spared (Exodus 32:11); G d relented.
