Abstract The present study was conducted to examine the ability of six promising indigenous isolates
of marine actinomycetes (NA 1, 2, 3, 4 and TA 1, 2) as probiotics in nature. The actinomycetes
isolated from these eco systemsare capable of producing antibiotics that strongly inhibit the growth of
gram positive and gramnegative bacteria. A total of 6 isolates representing the range ofmorphological
diversity observed from each sample were obtained in pure culture. However ofthe 6, two were found
to produce antibiotic substances. NA1 and TA1 exhibited higheractivity and, selected for further
studies. The purification and characterization of thesubstances is now in progress.

Cops Even as a law breaking mischievous youth I had always looked up to Police Officers in my
neighborhood. I even looked up to them when they would chase my friends and I when we snuck out

When I read the tragedy Romeo and Juliet, I thought that it had quite the dark ending. However, I also
thought that we could learn from this extreme case of what grudges do to people. It hardens their
hearts and makes them think that This will hurt them, even though that it really hurts themselves in the
process. Since the Capulets (Juliet s family) and the Montagues (Romeo s family) had both taken part
of an ancient feud against each other, Romeo and Juliet s love for each other is not at all accepted by
their families, which causes problems with their marriage. If The Capulets and Montagues put their
differences aside, the entire book would have been totally different. In many areas we can learn so
much from Romeo and Juliet, as well as the other characters in the book, especially with how many of
them seem to not think through most of their choices before committing or going through with

On March 8th, Mr. G. Lee Griffin spoke to the college of business, faculty, students, and the
community at the annual ethics lecture put on by the College of Business. As always, the ethics lecture
was interesting, but Mr. Griffin s personality of honesty, humility, and sincerity made this lecture stand
out among some of the others. Married for 54 years, it was obvious Mr. Griffin was a family man, led
by his faith, which he said is what gave him the strength to do everything he accomplished throughout
the years.
He began the lecture by reviewing Louisiana s fiscal mess, discussing the 900 million dollars worth of

But all of his setbacks led him to Louisiana where he graduated with his master s degree from LSU,
while meeting the love of his life, whom he married a few years later. After accepting a lower paying
