Progeria And Eukaryotic Analysis
Progeria is a rare disease that affects the nuclear envelope (lamina), and makes the nucleus unstable. It
is caused by a mutation in the LMNA gene that produces an abnormal protein. This abnormal protein
is called progerin, and it causes the process of premature ageing in an individual.
Eukaryotic cells contain a sphere shaped nucleus that protects the genetic information (DNA) and
separates it from the cytoplasm. The nucleus itself is protected by a double membrane called, the
nuclear envelope. The nuclear envelope is made up of nuclear membranes, nuclear lamina, and
nuclear pore complexes. The nuclear lamina is the sturdy protein that gives the nucleus its structure
and shape. As well as providing structural support, the nuclear lamina is required for most nuclear
activities, such as chromatin organization, DNA replication, cell cycle regulation, nuclear positioning
within the cell, assembly/disassembly of the nucleus during cell division, as well as for modulating
master regulatory genes and signaling pathways. (Baek, McKenna, Eriksson; 2013) The ability of the
cell to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Progeria Research Foundation; 2003) Normally, the amino acid produced is lamin A, but when
progerin is produced it gains a high liking for the nuclear membrane, causing disruptions to the
nuclear lamina. Without lamin A, the nuclear lamina cannot provide the structural support for the
nuclear envelope, causing it to take on an abnormal shape. This causes a huge strain for cell division;
without the support that the nuclear lamina usually provides, the organization of chromatin for mitosis
is disrupted and cell division is limited. When cells use progerin, they start to break down easier.
Progerin builds up in many cells of the individuals, causing them to grow up faster than normal.
Because of this the rate of ageing is 8 10 times faster than

Donnie Trumpet s The Social Experiment
On May 28th, shortly before midnight, a rare treasure was released to the public courtesy of Donnie
Trumpet The Social Experiment. Users of iTunes everywhere (including myself) woke up on May
29th, a Friday, to find a free download of Surf. the highly anticipated debut album of The Social
Experiment. The Social Experiment is a band that makes music that is hard to categorize. Ranging
from hip hop to Jazz, to R B, it s tricky to put a label on this band s sound other than it just feels good.
Fronted by wildly popular independent artist, Chance the Rapper, the band consists of Donnie
Trumpet doing exactly what his name hints at. Peter Cottontail, (Music Director/Keys), Greg Stix

They could have made thousands by selling the album on iTunes, physical copies, vinyls etc. And plus
they are already fronted by a popular rapper so they wouldn t have a problem with being found. But
the answer is simple, perhaps too simple but refreshing. And that s because with Surf, they weren t
looking for money. As you may remember, Chance announced the album back late last fall and said
that it would be released before the end of 2014. Some may have been irritated at Chance for not
keeping his word, but those people are so used to rappers that are signed to labels issuing a deadline to
maximize profits. Chance The Rapper is not one of those. Chance The Rapper is a free rapper. Chance
took those 6 months to make the music that him and his friends were creating perfect. And not perfect
for a record label, perfect for themselves. Which is what every artist should be doing. The popular
song Wanna Be Cool perfectly deciphers this. It is about not wanting to be cool, but wanting to be
yourself. Which (cheesy line approaching) is the coolest fucking thing you can be. In the high school
of hip hop. There are many rappers out there that make music that isn t necessarily them. But what
will maximize profits. Do you think Big Sean wrote I Don t Fuck With You because it truly spoke

Why Telecommuting Is A Great Advantage For Many People
In today s fast paced world, the number of people considering working from home is on the rise.
People are looking for ways to save money and add a little extra spare time to their day. Many believe
that this may be the answer they are looking for because they are not commuting to their jobs on a
daily basis. However, there are also a lot of people who believe working in an office is still the better
option for them. Technology has developed by leaps and bounds over the years and companies are
taking advantage of this by allowing their employees to work from home part time, and full scheduled
shifts are also increasing. I believe telecommuting is a great advantage for many people. Allowing
people to work from home is creating job ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Creating a peaceful and stress free work space is essential if you want to be successful. One
disadvantage when it comes to telecommuting, is the lack of socialization and time management. If
that balance of work and personal life is not attained, many might find it to be more stressful working
at home than an office. Working from home can be a dream come true for many people. If I owned my
own company, I would definitely support telecommuting. However, I would have to be one hundred
percent sure the person choosing this option, has the dedication and commitment it takes to succeed at
work from home position. Not everyone will have the right work skills, leadership, or requirements
needed to take on a work from home job. The only way most people would find out if telecommuting
is right for them is to try it part time. If anyone wants to do it on a full time basis, they should try it for
a week or two to see how they handle it, and then decide if this would be an advantage for them, or if
it is more of a disadvantage.
When telecommuting, it is crucial for people to adjust their schedule to make sure they can manage
their time concerning work to get all their goals and deadlines accomplished. If someone is not a
morning person, they may decide to spend the majority of their time working in the afternoon. They
will need to make sure that they can get their work done in the time allotted

Summary Of The Federalist Papers
The Federalist Papers are a collection of 85 essays and articles written by three of the most prominent
men in early United States history: Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay. All of these
essays were written to try to ratify the United States Constitution. Seventy seven were published
serially in The Independent Journal and The New York Packet between October 1787 and August
1788. A compilation of these and eight others, called The Federalist; or, The New Constitution, was
published in two volumes in 1788 by J. and A. McLean. The collection s original title was The
Federalist; the title The Federalist Papers did not emerge until the 20th century.

Federalist No. 10, in which Madison discusses the means of preventing rule by majority faction and
advocates a large, commercial republic, is generally regarded as the most important of the 85 articles
from a philosophical perspective; it is complemented by Federalist No. 14, in which Madison takes the
measure of the United States, declares it appropriate for an extended republic, and concludes with a
memorable defense of the constitutional and political creativity of the Federal Convention.[3] In
Federalist No. 84, Hamilton makes the case that there is no need to amend the Constitution by adding
a Bill of Rights, insisting that the various provisions in the proposed Constitution protecting liberty
amount to a bill of rights . Federalist No. 78, also written by Hamilton, lays the groundwork for the
doctrine of judicial review by federal courts of federal legislation or executive acts. Federalist No. 70
presents Hamilton s case for a one man chief executive. In Federalist No. 39, Madison presents the
clearest exposition of what has come to be called Federalism . In Federalist No. 51, Madison distills
arguments for checks and balances in an essay often quoted for its justification of government as the
greatest of all reflections on human

about their daily lives when Rashad is brutally beaten by Officer Paul Galluzzo. The taped beating of
Rashad causes both young men to dig deep and answer questions about what is right and what is
wrong. Jason Reynolds and Brendan Kiely presents counter storytelling in All American Boys to tell a
story of racism and police brutality from the perspective of African American teen (Rashad) and a

Essay On Gender Dysphoria
His parents named him Samantha, but he always preferred to be called Sam. At birth Sam was
identified as female, but he never felt that way. At the age of only five, Sam was diagnosed with
Gender Dysphoria: a persistent unease with having the physical characteristics of one s gender,
accompanied by a strong identification with the opposite gender. For example, a person who has all of
the physical traits of a male might feel strongly instead that he is a female. This person would have a
passionate desire to have a female body and to be accepted by others as a female. On the other hand,
someone with the physical characteristics of a female would feel her true identity to be male.

Johanna Olson in the video Living a Transgender Childhood, in order to diagnose a child with Gender
Dysphoria, they must be persistent, consistent, and insistent. Olson names this concept as the profiles
of children that have very solid gender identities. As early as 2 years old, the signs and symptoms of
having Gender Dysphoria may begin to become more relevant. Dr. Olson states that some of the signs
and symptoms in children may include: constantly saying they are the opposite sex, playing with toys
that aren t typical for their gender, rejecting clothes and games relating to their gender, believing they
will grow up to be the opposite sex, and saying they want to get rid of their genitals. As the children
grow older in their teen years, the symptoms can become far worse. Teenagers may become even more
certain that their gender is not true to their body, be disgusted with their genitals, and want their
removal. At this time, teenagers at the age of 16 may seek medical attention to help them transition to
the opposite sex. Adults will typically have the same symptoms as teens but moreso they will feel
more depressed and isolated, as well as dressing as the opposite gender. Left untreated, children and
adults with Gender Dysphoria may decide to take matters into their own hands and become

The Pros And Cons Of Plastic Bags
Since 1985, America has been using plastic bags due to them being waterproof and having handles
making them easier to carry goods. Paper and plastic has always been a huge controversy in super
markets through the preference of customers. Some customers prefer having the paper bags standing
up straight in the trunks of their cars. Other customers prefer the plastic bags because of the handles
making it easier to walk home and carry their goods. Although both preferences are fine, all customers
know the dangers of the plastic bag. Banning plastic bags from stores and replacing them with only
paper or reusable bags, will reduce corruption of organic products, reduce CO2 emissions from
creation and destruction of the plastic and prevent harm upon Earth and its creatures. Plastic bags were
first designed in 1965 by a Swedish company which later became known as the T shirt plastic bag ;
made from high density polyethylene, but It was in the late 1970s when Plastic bags first began to
terrorize the well being of humanity. More and more supermarkets in America began handing out
plastic bags as if they were candy on Halloween. The more plastic bags humans use, the more natural
resources are being destroyed. There are two different types of plastic bags that one may find in any
supermarket, high density polyethylene (HDPE) or low density polyethylene (LDPE). There isn t
much difference between them besides the fact that LDPE would be the tougher and more durable
bags you might find in department stores as well as any regular supermarket. They both require the
same materials for creation such as oil, gas and coal (fossil fuels). Fossil fuels are the prehistoric
resources formed by plants and animals that lived hundreds of millions of years ago. These fuels won t
be replaced for another millions of years to come, that is why they re called non renewable resources.
Plastic is very valuable, but humans decide that is more than okay to litter these valuable resources
than to recycle it and prevent some of the corruption and over usage of resources we may not have in a
distant future. Although plastic bags, as well as paper bags, can be recycled in order to postpone
running out of resources, the creation and

Pre-Trib Rapture Essay
As already stated, this book is not a theological treatise so I will keep explanations of theological
terms pithy and let the reader do their own investigation.
In the fourth chapter of Paul s first letter to the Thessalonians, he expounds on The Rapture of The
Church, (1 Thess. 4:16 17) an event where Christ comes to take His bride, the church, to heaven in the
twinkling of an eye (an instant). Suddenly, without warning, all Christians either living, or who have
died in the Lord, will be bodily resurrected. Members of Christ s church will receive their glorified
heavenly bodies, similar to Christ s resurrection body. Many, including myself, believe this event will
take place before the seven year Tribulation Period when The Antichrist rules the world, and God s
judgment rains down on the earth. This Rapture view is called, Pre Trib Rapture (takes place before
The Tribulation). Some Christians interpret the timing The Rapture to take place half way or ... Show

The Ecj s Evolving Case Law On Fundamental Human Rights

Question 5
The ECJ has been accused of not taking (human) rights seriously . Assess the validity of this comment
with reference to the ECJ s evolving case law on fundamental human rights in European Union law.
Introduction:
To begin with, it is essential to explain what is European Court of Justice and Human Rights. The
Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) is an institution, established in 1952, which interprets
EU law to make sure it is applied in the same way in all EU countries, and settles legal disputes
between national governments and EU institutions. It can also, in certain circumstances, be used by

First cases to consider would be Friedrich Stork Cie v High Authority of the European Coal and Steel
Community and Geitling v High Authority , where a reluctance to recognise fundamental rights was
noticed. However, these were the first cases dealing with fundamental human rights, and European
Court of Justice had plenty of time to progress in making decisions regarding these rights, European
Union law and Member States national law. Another essential case in this argument is Costa v Enel ,
where the principle of the supremacy of EEC law over inconsistent national law was established. In
this case European Court of Justice said: It follows from all these observations that the law stemming
from the treaty, an independent source of law, could not, because of its special and original nature, be
overridden by domestic legal provisions, however framed, without being deprived of its character as
community law and without the legal basis of the community itself being called into question , which
obviously gives priority for EU law over national law. Such a decision reflected in application of
fundamental Human Rights as well it proved that Human Rights will be applicable even if they
conflict with national law. Only in Stauder v City of Ulm (An European Union scheme provided cheap

Evaluating Strategies For Retaining Effective Teachers
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to evaluate strategies when retaining quality teachers, and human resource
personnel tend to run into problems of retaining effective teachers. These issues tend to be identifying
quality teachers. The quality of a teacher is often seen after the teacher is in the classroom by
reviewing students annual standardized test scores. Determining the quality of the teacher has been
viewed in parallel of their pre service training and university when recruiting. It has been common to
offer favorable incentives to recruit quality teachers and offer competitive benefits to reduce the
turnover rate. Large scale education policy studies focus on relationships between easily classifiable

The mission to secure and retain an effective teacher can be costly. However, the price to identify and
retain these teachers have been in question to policymakers. Large scale education policy studies focus
on relationships between easily classifiable teacher background attributes and student outcomes
(Baker Cooper, 2015; Ballou Podgursky, 1995).
The role of the federal government expanded after The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) and
heighten the pressure on schools to demonstrate student achievement (Smith, 2008), leaving schools
more accountable to education success. The NCLB act demanded high qualification standards for
teachers, but currently there is a shortage. Jacob (2007) describes the shortage as a number of effective
teachers the district wants to employ is greater than effective teachers willing to work for given salary.
Disadvantaged schools are unable to compete with higher salaries because of their budget. This
literature review will evaluate cost effective ways to retain effective teachers in schools that lack
resources.
Quality Teachers vs Effective Teachers.
School leaders need to be able to identify what they are looking for when recruiting and retaining.
Highly qualified teachers are measured by the competitiveness of their undergraduate institution, by
advanced degrees, by experience, and by scores of state licensure test (Clotfelter, Ladd, Vigdor, 2006).
As stated in Title II program of the U.S.

The Effects Of The Malthusian Catastrophe Throughout The...
After Adam Smith s Wealth of Nations, his view of classical economics flourished. One of his
successors Thomas Malthus continued with a more pessimist view of society, while still keeping to
Smith s fundamentals. Out of this pessimistic viewpoint comes the Malthusian Doctrine, which states
that as the population rate grows greater than the rate of produce to feed it, and, if unchecked, the
world s population will double every 25 years. At the same time land cannot keep up with the
population growth, because land cannot breed. This will lead to a population growth problem. This
paper will explore the effects of the Malthusian catastrophe throughout the past few centuries.
Reviewing the implications of population growth and the need for implementations to limit population
growth and natural resource depletion, providing questions challenging this point of view, and
interacting with arguments of opposition can provide a well formed argument for the implementations
of new policies regarding this topic.
In 18th century Europe was ripe from the Industrial Revolution. The world was taking on a more
optimistic thinking. However, Thomas Malthus turned against this notion with a pessimist view of
population growth. The reproduction of humans and the depletion of food were evident and are still
evident today. The world is becoming more populous and with it more prosperous; humans as a whole
are consuming more food, water, and natural resources than ever. In Malthus time the same

Theme Of Sin In The Scarlett Letter
Sin and Symbols in The Scarlett Letter Sin is present in everyone s life and no human can escape its
reach. In The Scarlett letter the main conflict is rooted in one sin between a man and a woman in
colonial Massachusetts. The sin was adultery and there are several vital themes and symbols that stem
from it. Sin controls and characterizes lives in so many ways that people do not realize. This is
highlighted throughout The Scarlett Letter. Sin and revenge are symbolized by Pearl and nature in
many instances throughout several different chapters. Sin is the most prominent and reoccurring
theme in The Scarlett Letter. Opportunities arose due to Hester s husband being away for an extended
period. After Hester committed adultery with Reverend Dimmesdale her life was forever changed and
furthermore characterized by this theme. He could never escape his inner guilt for his sin with Hester
but could not bring himself to publicly repent. Hester continued her series of poor choices by agreeing
to keep the father of her baby a secret, so he would not be publicly punished and shamed. The theme
continues when her husband arrives in town angry that she is pregnant, and she also promises to keep
his identity a secret to the public. Her husband, Roger Chillingworth, is then overcome with anger and
strives for revenge as he is seemingly possessed by evil. Hester aids in this sin by not warning
Reverend Dimmesdale of Chillingworth s identity. Chillingworth quickly befriends the Reverend

Eggs to Model Osmosis Experiment
Team Members: Rose Dopkin, Solomon Alhakeem, and Kelly Kinsella
Problem:
What effect does submerging an egg in substances with different concentrations have on the mass of
an egg?
Variables: Independent Variable: substance egg is soaked in Dependent Variable: mass of egg (in
grams)
Constant Variables: temperature of location, length of time egg is soaked for, amount of light received,
same type of egg,
Experimental Control: The experimental control for this experiment was the mass of the egg without
its shell (before the eggs were subjected to the different substances), because this is the number the
after masses will be compared to.
Hypothesis: If we submerge an egg without its shell into water, then the egg will swell and the mass of
that egg will increase. We also think that the opposite will occur with the egg submerged in syrup the
egg will shrink, causing the mass of the egg to decrease,
Qualitative Data:
On day 2 of the lab, after both eggs had only been soaked in vinegar to remove their shells, both eggs
remained similar to their previous state, except now much more fragile. They didn t have their hard
shell protecting them, and the inside of the eggs were now just protected by the thin membrane. Firm
to the touch, but still slightly weak, and very breakable.

Right Rapport: Use photos or videos to convey the emotional state that you want your customers to
feel. For example happy and satisfied people image, video testimonials showing emotional
gratification of your customers or anything which can convey them emotional value of your product or

Step 3 : Conquer Rational Brain
As humans, we spend little or no time processing the constant bombardment of information around us.
We don t have time to process everything, so we develop these mental shortcuts. We tend to follow
our feelings, even if we don t admit doing so. We always respond more to gut instincts, intuition, and
other emotionally based triggers than we do to logic and reasoning. We just want to feel right about
things. We are emotional, subconscious decision makers with a bit of logic. The following two

Cause And Effect Of A Gunshot Wound Be Treated With...
Illness We tend to think of every medically treatable condition as an illness, and every illness as a
medically treatable condition; and that is just not the case. There are many physical factors that
detrimentally affect our health: disease, infection, genetics, diet, injury, exhaustion, accidents, poison,
warfare, pollution, heredity, birth defects, and more. All of these can be considered the cause of an
unhealthy condition; but none of them are an illness. A bullet is bad for one s health, but no one is
suggesting that a gunshot wound is an illness or a disease. [Though, some community activists would
call gun violence a social sickness.] No one is suggesting that a gunshot wound be treated with
affirmations and prayer. [But, there are often prayer vigils and church services that aim to put an end
to shooting incidents.] During recovery from a gunshot wound there may be difficulties that could
properly be called illness. We could properly consider the person in recovery to not yet be well.
Affirmation and prayer may be effective at this point, in re establishing a state of well being. Though
studies have not shown that this affects one s physical recovery, an increased sense of wellness is, by
definition, of benefit to their health. Holmes properly uses the term illness when recommending a
course of spiritual mind treatment; but it would be a mistake to think that every condition can be
treated in this way. Not every condition that requires treatment is an

Effects On The Water Management Of The Murray-Darling Basin
Effects of the Basin Plan on the water management of the Murray Darling Basin The sustainable and
healthy MDB can be made through institutional changes and improving water management. The
Water Act and the Basin Plan were enacted for more desirable and applicable improvements by grant
of flexibility in water management; however there are still challenges to be adjusted by water bodies.
Flexible management Through the Water Act and the Basin Plan, the Commonwealth, the Basin
States, and the Murray Darling Basin Authority ( MDBA ) are given flexibility for water management
in various ways. The Water Act, the Basin Plan and its associated water resource plans grant rights to
the agencies of the Commonwealth and States and other persons ... Show more content on

Humanity has been interrelated with ecosystems, and at present, it is essential to reflect social sciences
to environmental issues. Adaptive water management cannot be reached without understanding the
needs of the affected people, and therefore supportable compromise between the community and
institutions is vital. Over a long period of time, the MDB has experienced dramatic changes to its
ecosystems, including the landscape and water cycle. Australia has attempted to revive the ecosystem
of the MDB, and has joined international agreements. Thus the Commonwealth and the State
governments also endeavoured to fulfil a constitutional mandate to perform the country s obligations
under those agreements. As a result, the Water Act and the Basin Plan have been enacted to optimise
the economic, social and environmental outcomes from water use in the MDB. These regulatory
schemes emphasised critical human water needs and imposed limits on use of water by the SDLs.
However it was not easy to satisfy everyone s demand where values, needs, and aspirations of people
differ from community to community, region to region and State to State . Integrative water
management can only be achieved through transparent communication and effective interactions of
different authorities, experts, interest groups, and the public. However the Water Act and the Basin
Plan mainly focused on the scientific experts and organisations, and considered individuals in the
MDB communities less relevant, and therefore the Act and the Plan could not avoid criticism. In
addition, it seems that there are more challenges than benefits of the water management system in the
Water Act and the Basin Plan. It seems correct to state that both ecosystems and human social systems
are complex. However through continuous implementations, the combination of ecology and
sociology will be able to achieve sustainable

swans and their relation to the famous model, but it was all kept hush hush. Not one lip revealed that
the gala s theme was based on his wife s new creams for flawless skin and her swanlike neck. She

Designing An Interactive Model For Finding The Optimal...
Abstract
The motivation behind this paper is to propose a new approach called objective factorizable approach
based on a decomposition algorithm in an interactive model for finding the optimal solution to multi
level large scale quadratic programming problem (MLLSQPP), in which the objective function can be
factorized into two single linear objective functions and has block angular structure of the constraints.
What s more, the author advances the concepts of satisfactoriness as the upper level decision makers
preferences until the preferred solution is come to. The bi section method is suggested as an essential
solution method to assess these upper level decision makers preferences precisely. Finally, in order to
exhibit the proficiency of the proposed model, an illustrative example is provided.
Keywords
Decomposition algorithm; multilevel programming; large scale problem; quadratic programming;
bisection method.
1. Introduction
Multi Level Programming (MLP) problems are an arrangement of overlapped hierarchical
optimization problems with numerous decision makers (DMs) over a solitary feasible region. MLP
techniques relegate each DM a unique objective, a set of decision variables, and a set of common
constraints that influence all DMs. DMs make decision in turn or meanwhile to optimize their
objective functions. [1, 2, 3, 4]
The vast majority of the optimization problems emerging in real world applications incorporate vast
numbers of variables and constraints, which

Examples Of Pessimism In Arcadia
Arcadia by Tom Stoppard is not a pessimistic play because there is no overall loss that the characters
face at the end. Edwards says that all is soon lost, irrecoverable, irredeemable and this notion/idea
does not support the play because hope can be seen at the end of the play. Tragedy is loss overtime and
uncompensated suffering; and this is not seen in the play. Although there are instances of pessimism
and cynicism throughout the play (like how Thomasina dies young), the story is rather optimistic in it
s ending. Hannah is a character that is constantly mentioning the benefits of learning and advancing
society through research and science. Thomasina s research will go down in history and help science
evolve. Paul Edwards is not correct when he talks about Arcadia as a pessimistic play because it is
quite the opposite; Arcadia is a play about hope. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

believes that there is a conflict between knowledge and emotion; but by the end of the play, she grows
to realize that they are both one and the same. Her character development is drastic and it is the
opposite of a pessimistic value. Hannah s character reflects the idea that knowledge is something that
transcends time and this motif can be seen in the play. Edwards says that the play is pessimistic but

Chris Van Allsburg Essay
Chris Van Allsburg
Chris Van Allsburg has been named one of the most intriguing authors and illustrators of children s
books. He has a unique style that captivates children and adults alike. Often, a person s background
and experiences influence their work. Imagination has many roots into the childhood of an individual.
Chris Van Allsburg grew up in a quiet suburban setting in Grand Rapids, Michigan. During the 1950 s,
when he was a child, the town was a place that seemed like a haven for any young boy. There were
open fields that provided places for the children to enjoy a baseball game in the spring. The houses
were not separated by fences, but rather blended together by the yards. The setting in which he grew

His style was that of works that had a narrative feeling to them. The storyteller in him started to
become evident when they became available for display in New York City.
His big break as a children s book writer came as a result of his wife. She was a producer of a
television show and invited one of the show s guests home for dinner on night. After dinner she and
Chris Van Allsburg showed him some of his illustrations as part of a casual after dinner conversation.
He was immediately impressed and gave the number of Walter Lorraine, an editor with Houghton
Mifflin Company, to him and asked him to call him. When he finally contacted Mr. Lorraine, the man
was so impressed with his drawings that he convinced Chris Van Allsburg that he should venture into
children s book writing.
His first book was The Garden of Abdul Gasazi in 1979. He showed the world that he was a talented
storybook writer. The public responded by buying more than a million copies. This book also received
a Caldecott Medal Award. He would follow up with wonderful books such as The Mysteries of Harris
Bur*censored*.
Many people wonder how he gets the ideas for such intriguing tales. Chris Van Allsburg explains this
in many of his interviews. He always starts out with a picture. Then he asks himself questions about

workings of the company. There are past marketing plans being stored in one location in a file cabinet,
limiting the personnel that has access to it (Riordan Manufacturing, Inc., 2012). Sales employees are
using different methods to track their numbers, in some cases using pencil and paper (Riordan

The Value Of Enterprise And Trade
Today s economy was founded upon the fundamentals of capitalism and continues to find its strength
in the presence of freedom of enterprise and trade. Regulation and taxes are vital in order to support
fairness amongst businesses and to provide funds for the government to develop and maintain the
country s infrastructure. Most companies distribute some of the company s accumulated profits, so
that is why it is important to characterize the distribution under whether it is deductible or not. As
there are many different types of distributions, it is necessary for the tax paying entity to understand
the distribution so that each type can be deducted appropriately. Before we can get into what type of

My Favorite Quote Analysis
My favorite quote will always be by Sappho in which she says, Someone, I tell you, in another time
will remember us. She was right. She s remembered for being a gay poet and is immortalized despite a
lot of her works not being found completely. It s one of my favorite quotes because identifying as a
nonbinary queer person who also likes girls, I can relate to Sappho a lot when she writes about her
desire for love and personal heartbreaks. This quote also brings me ease as even in another time
someone will still remember me. I think we all want to leave a legacy of some sort, and for me I want
my legacy to be centered around my experience and accomplishments as an American born Punjabi
artist and social activist, who was also highly active in the LGBTQ+ community. I want someone to
remember me because it is a vicious cycle that people of color and members of the color in the
LGBTQ+ community get forgotten in history. History is white washed. But the idea that I will do
enough in my life to be remembered in some shape or form, reminds me that my efforts and failures as
a Punjabi artist and social activist are just part of a legacy I am starting.
Moving on, my strength and determination did not magically appear one day. I had a lot of amazing
people who are a part of my support network who helped show me what healthy self love and growth
is supposed to be. One of the people I will be highlighting is my AP English teacher. Candice Ligator,
was one of the best, and one of my favorite teachers in my high school career. She was a big part of
my support system when it came to being a trans and queer student who had a lot of family issues. She
was also a big inspiration to me as she told us stories full of struggles growing as a teacher. She talked
about how starting off as a teacher at first made her cry every night, showing me that it takes
persistence to be adept in a profession. Her choices on the pieces of literature she taught were
engaging as they touched upon feminism, gay rights, and race. This allowed me to explore both my
interest in writing and in social justice. Reading about personal experiences from Mary Shelley, Oscar
Wilde, and Ralph Ellison was inspiring as it allowed me to see that I can

A Contemporary Performance Issue
Commuting is a perfect example of a contemporary performance issue, traffic congestion can steal

time wasted just for commuting to and from work, you already started the day with a strike against
you. In the past, this was not an issue with the employer. The employer was concerned with what they

transit subsidies of $15 per month. The result: Transit ridership went up, 14 percent fewer employees
drove to work alone and the company estimates it saved $570,400 in parking benefits (Wells par. 4).

Freezinging Point And The Freezing Point
Review of Literature During this project, there were always two large questions. How does salt affect
the freezing point and how does sugar affect the freezing point? These are very broad questions and
along the way, other questions will come about considering how far this topic can lead therefore in
order to answer them research will have to be involved. Throughout this experiment freezing point of
water will be mentioned continuously so what is the freezing point exactly? The freezing point is the
transition of when water turns to ice this happens at a certain temperature 32 degrees Fahrenheit or 0
degrees Celsius. The typical freezing point of fresh water is 0° Celsius [32° Fahrenheit]. Generally,
water molecules are composed of hydrogen and water molecules and they have bonded together into a
crystalline structure ice. (http://www.worldofchemicals.com/558/chemistry articles/how does salt
lower the freezing point of water.html, Data Research Analysis, 2017) This shows that when water
turns to ice its a change in matter caused by the temperature. Which leads to why it can be altered
because the temperature can always change and fluctuate. When a substance is added it can really take
a toll on how the freezing point takes place. While pure water freezes at 0°C (32°F), salt water needs
to be colder before it freezes and so it usually takes longer to freeze. The more salt in the water, the
lower the freezing point. Very salty water freezes at around 21 °C, or

A Rhetorical Analysis Of What Is The Fate Of Aeneas
Aeneas and his fleet of twenty ships had been reduced to 7 ships and many lives had been lost at sea.
The spirits of just about every man in the voyage was crushed and everything seems helpless. The
waters were restless until Neptune calmed the sea giving Aeneas and his men the chance to escape and
land on the island of Lydia. Aeneas knows that his men are tired, beat down and broken hearted.
Aeneas goes on to hunt and kill seven stages; one for each of the remaining ships. Aeneas being the
great leader he is knows that he has to lift the spirits of his men. Through pathos Aeneas reminds his
men of what they have been through and ensures them that they are strong, should remain strong and
should not give up for the hard days to come. Aeneas men should be persuaded by him because he
inspired bravery in his men reminding them of the hardship they have already been through.
Aeneas begins his speech with [f]riends and companions (Aeneid 1.270) this put Aeneas at the level of

Theme Of Imperialism In Jane Eyre
Scottish author, Christopher North (also known as John Wilson) once said, His Majesty s dominions,
on which the sun never sets in reference to the large span of territory occupied by the British Empire.
At the height of its power, Great Britain held territory on all of the seven continents and ruled over
about one fourth of the world s population. A map of the British Empire in the 19th century published
by the History of England shows that Great Britain occupied areas such as Canada, Australia, Egypt,
South Africa, modern day India, Honduras, and many other lands. The primary purpose of British
imperialism was to acquire as much foreign territory as possible in order to gain abundant amounts of

The powerful male roles, such as Edward Rochester, seen throughout the novel represent Great
Britain, while the weaker female roles, such as Bertha Mason, represent the imperialized countries. In
chapter 14 of Jane Eyre, Mr. Rochester demonstrates his assertive dominance to Jane when he asks,
Do you agree with me that I have a right to be a little masterful, abrupt, perhaps exacting, sometimes,
on the grounds I stated, namely, that I am old enough to be your father, and that I have battled through
a varied experience with many men of many nations, and roamed over half the globe (Brontë 152).
Rochester demonstrates the power of Great Britain here by claiming that he has the given right to take
control and be the ruling figure just like Great Britain did to weaker countries. Bertha Mason parallels
the countries being colonized because she is depicted as weak and someone who needs to be isolated
and controlled. In Reader, I Buried Him : Apocalypse and Empire in Jane Eyre. , Tracy agrees that
many critics rightly place Bertha at the centre of the novel s signifying systems, since social, cultural,
imperial, and religious concerns are encoded in her relationship with Rochester . This becomes evident
in chapter 26 of Jane Eyre when Rochester is explaining Bertha s character to Jane. Rochester states
that Bertha Mason is mad; she came of a mad family; idiots and maniacs through three

Barbed Wire Essay
Barbed wire helped revolutionize the West by dividing up the land evenly and cheaply. However,
some people out West found it to be an impediment to moving across wide plains. Cowboys and
Native Americans even came up with a new name for it, Devil s Rope. Joseph Farwell Glidden was a
very influential man in the creation of barbed wire and he forever changed the West and the World.
Barbed wire helped reform the West, but it had to start somewhere. Joseph Glidden saw a wire
attachment at the DeKalb County Fair presented by Henry M. Rose. He used a wood rail and
hammered nails into it to hook onto a fence. Joseph Glidden was there with Jacob Haish, and Isaac

wire industry and focus on the business aspect. His wife also said that Glidden had a better design than
he did, which is part of the reason he partnered with Glidden. Haish was a fierce contender, and he
went to court to see who got the patent, but Glidden eventually won. Joseph Glidden had patents
already, so when he saw the barbed wire, he thought that he could make that, so he did. He was a very
creative man and he was intelligent too. Before he invented barbed wire he invented something called
the land roller. It had the wheels placed in special alignment so that the wheels did not go over the
same land twice. Barbed wire was needed out West, and Glidden s barbed wire was easy to transport
so it went West. The wire migrated West because Texas Longhorn Cattle would trample and graze on
farmer s crops and the farmers hated it. Cattle would also get run over by trains because they would

  • 2. Progeria And Eukaryotic Analysis Progeria is a rare disease that affects the nuclear envelope (lamina), and makes the nucleus unstable. It is caused by a mutation in the LMNA gene that produces an abnormal protein. This abnormal protein is called progerin, and it causes the process of premature ageing in an individual. Eukaryotic cells contain a sphere shaped nucleus that protects the genetic information (DNA) and separates it from the cytoplasm. The nucleus itself is protected by a double membrane called, the nuclear envelope. The nuclear envelope is made up of nuclear membranes, nuclear lamina, and nuclear pore complexes. The nuclear lamina is the sturdy protein that gives the nucleus its structure and shape. As well as providing structural support, the nuclear lamina is required for most nuclear activities, such as chromatin organization, DNA replication, cell cycle regulation, nuclear positioning within the cell, assembly/disassembly of the nucleus during cell division, as well as for modulating master regulatory genes and signaling pathways. (Baek, McKenna, Eriksson; 2013) The ability of the cell to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Progeria Research Foundation; 2003) Normally, the amino acid produced is lamin A, but when progerin is produced it gains a high liking for the nuclear membrane, causing disruptions to the nuclear lamina. Without lamin A, the nuclear lamina cannot provide the structural support for the nuclear envelope, causing it to take on an abnormal shape. This causes a huge strain for cell division; without the support that the nuclear lamina usually provides, the organization of chromatin for mitosis is disrupted and cell division is limited. When cells use progerin, they start to break down easier. Progerin builds up in many cells of the individuals, causing them to grow up faster than normal. Because of this the rate of ageing is 8 10 times faster than ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Donnie Trumpet s The Social Experiment On May 28th, shortly before midnight, a rare treasure was released to the public courtesy of Donnie Trumpet The Social Experiment. Users of iTunes everywhere (including myself) woke up on May 29th, a Friday, to find a free download of Surf. the highly anticipated debut album of The Social Experiment. The Social Experiment is a band that makes music that is hard to categorize. Ranging from hip hop to Jazz, to R B, it s tricky to put a label on this band s sound other than it just feels good. Fronted by wildly popular independent artist, Chance the Rapper, the band consists of Donnie Trumpet doing exactly what his name hints at. Peter Cottontail, (Music Director/Keys), Greg Stix Landfair Jr. (Drummer) and Nate Fox (Keys). Surf is consistent ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They could have made thousands by selling the album on iTunes, physical copies, vinyls etc. And plus they are already fronted by a popular rapper so they wouldn t have a problem with being found. But the answer is simple, perhaps too simple but refreshing. And that s because with Surf, they weren t looking for money. As you may remember, Chance announced the album back late last fall and said that it would be released before the end of 2014. Some may have been irritated at Chance for not keeping his word, but those people are so used to rappers that are signed to labels issuing a deadline to maximize profits. Chance The Rapper is not one of those. Chance The Rapper is a free rapper. Chance took those 6 months to make the music that him and his friends were creating perfect. And not perfect for a record label, perfect for themselves. Which is what every artist should be doing. The popular song Wanna Be Cool perfectly deciphers this. It is about not wanting to be cool, but wanting to be yourself. Which (cheesy line approaching) is the coolest fucking thing you can be. In the high school of hip hop. There are many rappers out there that make music that isn t necessarily them. But what will maximize profits. Do you think Big Sean wrote I Don t Fuck With You because it truly spoke from his heart? Fuck ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Why Telecommuting Is A Great Advantage For Many People In today s fast paced world, the number of people considering working from home is on the rise. People are looking for ways to save money and add a little extra spare time to their day. Many believe that this may be the answer they are looking for because they are not commuting to their jobs on a daily basis. However, there are also a lot of people who believe working in an office is still the better option for them. Technology has developed by leaps and bounds over the years and companies are taking advantage of this by allowing their employees to work from home part time, and full scheduled shifts are also increasing. Creating a peaceful and stress free work space is essential if you want to be successful. One disadvantage when it comes to telecommuting, is the lack of socialization and time management. If that balance of work and personal life is not attained, many might find it to be more stressful working at home than an office. Working from home can be a dream come true for many people. If I owned my own company, I would definitely support telecommuting. However, I would have to be one hundred percent sure the person choosing this option, has the dedication and commitment it takes to succeed at work from home position. Not everyone will have the right work skills, leadership, or requirements needed to take on a work from home job. The only way most people would find out if telecommuting is right for them is to try it part time. If anyone wants to do it on a full time basis, they should try it for a week or two to see how they handle it, and then decide if this would be an advantage for them, or if it is more of a disadvantage. When telecommuting, it is crucial for people to adjust their schedule to make sure they can manage their time concerning work to get all their goals and deadlines accomplished. Seventy seven were published serially in The Independent Journal and The New York Packet between October 1787 and August 1788. Federalist No. 78, also written by Hamilton, lays the groundwork for the doctrine of judicial review by federal courts of federal legislation or executive acts. Federalist No. 70 presents Hamilton s case for a one man chief executive. In Federalist No. 39, Madison presents the clearest exposition of what has come to be called Federalism . • 9. The Pros And Cons Of Plastic Bags Since 1985, America has been using plastic bags due to them being waterproof and having handles making them easier to carry goods. Paper and plastic has always been a huge controversy in super markets through the preference of customers. Some customers prefer having the paper bags standing up straight in the trunks of their cars. Other customers prefer the plastic bags because of the handles making it easier to walk home and carry their goods. Although both preferences are fine, all customers know the dangers of the plastic bag. Banning plastic bags from stores and replacing them with only paper or reusable bags, will reduce corruption of organic products, reduce CO2 emissions from creation and destruction of the plastic and prevent harm upon Earth and its creatures. Plastic bags were first designed in 1965 by a Swedish company which later became known as the T shirt plastic bag ; made from high density polyethylene, but It was in the late 1970s when Plastic bags first began to terrorize the well being of humanity. More and more supermarkets in America began handing out plastic bags as if they were candy on Halloween. The more plastic bags humans use, the more natural resources are being destroyed. There are two different types of plastic bags that one may find in any supermarket, high density polyethylene (HDPE) or low density polyethylene (LDPE). There isn t much difference between them besides the fact that LDPE would be the tougher and more durable bags you might find in department stores as well as any regular supermarket. They both require the same materials for creation such as oil, gas and coal (fossil fuels). Fossil fuels are the prehistoric resources formed by plants and animals that lived hundreds of millions of years ago. These fuels won t be replaced for another millions of years to come, that is why they re called non renewable resources. Plastic is very valuable, but humans decide that is more than okay to litter these valuable resources than to recycle it and prevent some of the corruption and over usage of resources we may not have in a distant future. Suddenly, without warning, all Christians either living, or who have died in the Lord, will be bodily resurrected. Members of Christ s church will receive their glorified heavenly bodies, similar to Christ s resurrection body. Many, including myself, believe this event will take place before the seven year Tribulation Period when The Antichrist rules the world, and God s judgment rains down on the earth. Assess the validity of this comment with reference to the ECJ s evolving case law on fundamental human rights in European Union law. Introduction: To begin with, it is essential to explain what is European Court of Justice and Human Rights. The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) is an institution, established in 1952, which interprets EU law to make sure it is applied in the same way in all EU countries, and settles legal disputes between national governments and EU institutions. First cases to consider would be Friedrich Stork Cie v High Authority of the European Coal and Steel Community and Geitling v High Authority , where a reluctance to recognise fundamental rights was noticed. However, these were the first cases dealing with fundamental human rights, and European Court of Justice had plenty of time to progress in making decisions regarding these rights, European Union law and Member States national law. Another essential case in this argument is Costa v Enel , where the principle of the supremacy of EEC law over inconsistent national law was established. In this case European Court of Justice said: It follows from all these observations that the law stemming from the treaty, an independent source of law, could not, because of its special and original nature, be overridden by domestic legal provisions, however framed, without being deprived of its character as community law and without the legal basis of the community itself being called into question , which obviously gives priority for EU law over national law. The mission to secure and retain an effective teacher can be costly. However, the price to identify and retain these teachers have been in question to policymakers. Large scale education policy studies focus on relationships between easily classifiable teacher background attributes and student outcomes (Baker Cooper, 2015; Ballou Podgursky, 1995). The role of the federal government expanded after The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) and heighten the pressure on schools to demonstrate student achievement (Smith, 2008), leaving schools more accountable to education success. The NCLB act demanded high qualification standards for teachers, but currently there is a shortage. Jacob (2007) describes the shortage as a number of effective teachers the district wants to employ is greater than effective teachers willing to work for given salary. Disadvantaged schools are unable to compete with higher salaries because of their budget. This literature review will evaluate cost effective ways to retain effective teachers in schools that lack resources. Quality Teachers vs Effective Teachers. School leaders need to be able to identify what they are looking for when recruiting and retaining. One of his successors Thomas Malthus continued with a more pessimist view of society, while still keeping to Smith s fundamentals. Out of this pessimistic viewpoint comes the Malthusian Doctrine, which states that as the population rate grows greater than the rate of produce to feed it, and, if unchecked, the world s population will double every 25 years. At the same time land cannot keep up with the population growth, because land cannot breed. This will lead to a population growth problem. This paper will explore the effects of the Malthusian catastrophe throughout the past few centuries. Reviewing the implications of population growth and the need for implementations to limit population growth and natural resource depletion, providing questions challenging this point of view, and interacting with arguments of opposition can provide a well formed argument for the implementations of new policies regarding this topic. In 18th century Europe was ripe from the Industrial Revolution. The world was taking on a more optimistic thinking. However, Thomas Malthus turned against this notion with a pessimist view of population growth. The reproduction of humans and the depletion of food were evident and are still evident today. All of these can be considered the cause of an unhealthy condition; but none of them are an illness. Australia has attempted to revive the ecosystem of the MDB, and has joined international agreements. Thus the Commonwealth and the State governments also endeavoured to fulfil a constitutional mandate to perform the country s obligations under those agreements. As a result, the Water Act and the Basin Plan have been enacted to optimise the economic, social and environmental outcomes from water use in the MDB. Abstract The motivation behind this paper is to propose a new approach called objective factorizable approach based on a decomposition algorithm in an interactive model for finding the optimal solution to multi level large scale quadratic programming problem (MLLSQPP), in which the objective function can be factorized into two single linear objective functions and has block angular structure of the constraints. What s more, the author advances the concepts of satisfactoriness as the upper level decision makers preferences until the preferred solution is come to. The bi section method is suggested as an essential solution method to assess these upper level decision makers preferences precisely. Finally, in order to exhibit the proficiency of the proposed model, an illustrative example is provided. Introduction Multi Level Programming (MLP) problems are an arrangement of overlapped hierarchical optimization problems with numerous decision makers (DMs) over a solitary feasible region. MLP techniques relegate each DM a unique objective, a set of decision variables, and a set of common constraints that influence all DMs. DMs make decision in turn or meanwhile to optimize their objective functions. After dinner she and Chris Van Allsburg showed him some of his illustrations as part of a casual after dinner conversation. He was immediately impressed and gave the number of Walter Lorraine, an editor with Houghton Mifflin Company, to him and asked him to call him. When he finally contacted Mr. Lorraine, the man was so impressed with his drawings that he convinced Chris Van Allsburg that he should venture into children s book writing. His first book was The Garden of Abdul Gasazi in 1979. He showed the world that he was a talented storybook writer. The public responded by buying more than a million copies. She s remembered for being a gay poet and is immortalized despite a lot of her works not being found completely. It s one of my favorite quotes because identifying as a nonbinary queer person who also likes girls, I can relate to Sappho a lot when she writes about her desire for love and personal heartbreaks. This quote also brings me ease as even in another time someone will still remember me. I think we all want to leave a legacy of some sort, and for me I want my legacy to be centered around my experience and accomplishments as an American born Punjabi artist and social activist, who was also highly active in the LGBTQ+ community. I want someone to remember me because it is a vicious cycle that people of color and members of the color in the LGBTQ+ community get forgotten in history. History is white washed. But the idea that I will do enough in my life to be remembered in some shape or form, reminds me that my efforts and failures as a Punjabi artist and social activist are just part of a legacy I am starting. Moving on, my strength and determination did not magically appear one day. I had a lot of amazing people who are a part of my support network who helped show me what healthy self love and growth is supposed to be. One of the people I will be highlighting is my AP English teacher. Candice Ligator, was one of the best, and one of my favorite teachers in my high school career. She was a big part of my support system when it came to being a trans and queer student who had a lot of family issues. She was also a big inspiration to me as she told us stories full of struggles growing as a teacher. She talked about how starting off as a teacher at first made her cry every night, showing me that it takes persistence to be adept in a profession. Her choices on the pieces of literature she taught were engaging as they touched upon feminism, gay rights, and race. This allowed me to explore both my interest in writing and in social justice. • 29. Freezinging Point And The Freezing Point Review of Literature During this project, there were always two large questions. How does salt affect the freezing point and how does sugar affect the freezing point? These are very broad questions and along the way, other questions will come about considering how far this topic can lead therefore in order to answer them research will have to be involved. Throughout this experiment freezing point of water will be mentioned continuously so what is the freezing point exactly? The freezing point is the transition of when water turns to ice this happens at a certain temperature 32 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 degrees Celsius. The typical freezing point of fresh water is 0° Celsius [32° Fahrenheit]. Generally, water molecules are composed of hydrogen and water molecules and they have bonded together into a crystalline structure ice. (http://www.worldofchemicals.com/558/chemistry articles/how does salt lower the freezing point of water.html, Data Research Analysis, 2017) This shows that when water turns to ice its a change in matter caused by the temperature. Which leads to why it can be altered because the temperature can always change and fluctuate. When a substance is added it can really take a toll on how the freezing point takes place. While pure water freezes at 0°C (32°F), salt water needs to be colder before it freezes and so it usually takes longer to freeze. The more salt in the water, the lower the freezing point. Very salty water freezes at around 21 °C, or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Rochester demonstrates the power of Great Britain here by claiming that he has the given right to take control and be the ruling figure just like Great Britain did to weaker countries. Bertha Mason parallels the countries being colonized because she is depicted as weak and someone who needs to be isolated and controlled. In Reader, I Buried Him : Apocalypse and Empire in Jane Eyre. , Tracy agrees that many critics rightly place Bertha at the centre of the novel s signifying systems, since social, cultural, imperial, and religious concerns are encoded in her relationship with Rochester . His wife also said that Glidden had a better design than he did, which is part of the reason he partnered with Glidden. Haish was a fierce contender, and he went to court to see who got the patent, but Glidden eventually won. Joseph Glidden had patents already, so when he saw the barbed wire, he thought that he could make that, so he did. He was a very creative man and he was intelligent too. Before he invented barbed wire he invented something called the land roller. It had the wheels placed in special alignment so that the wheels did not go over the same land twice.
