This ISTE standard states that educators should plan
time to collaborate so that you can produce ideas to
create authentic learning experiences that influence
technology. These include things such as,
instructions, resources used and the effectiveness of
them. They also produce “best practices”, ideas and
lesson plans that can be collected electronically so it is
available for everyone.

• Co-learning with students helps us to learn and discover new digital resources
and identify and troubleshoot technology issues.
• Students are a great source in discovering new things with technology because
they use it all the time at home.
• Be open and take advantage of the help that students can offer you about
technology.

SolvingRoutineProblems
When you encounter
problems with
technology, here are
some tips to help.
• Isolate the problem: you first must figure out
what the problem actual is. Where is the
problem occurring? When is the problem
occurring? Does it occur only when using a
certain software/hardware?
• Identify the Best Solution: try resolving the
problem first with using the computer or
software manual. You can also go to the
website and look for blogs or discussion about
the problem you are having. There may also be
an online support you can contact.
• Apply Solution and Check Results: once you
have figured out the problem and found a
solution/solutions start trying them.
• Repeat Solutions if Necessary: Keep trying the
solution as many times as needed until the
problem is resolved. If none of the solutions
work, then get help from another source. One
last common error could be “human error”.

These include things such as, instructions, resources used and the effectiveness of them. Collaborating withstudentsto Exploreand Troubleshoot Technology Co-Learn with Students • Co-learning with students helps us to learn and discover new digital resources and identify and troubleshoot technology issues. • Students are a great source in discovering new things with technology because they use it all the time at home. • Be open and take advantage of the help that students can offer you about technology. BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Many schools have adopted this idea.
  • 5. SolvingRoutineProblems When you encounter problems with technology, here are some tips to help. • Isolate the problem: you first must figure out what the problem actual is. Where is the problem occurring? When is the problem occurring? Does it occur only when using a certain software/hardware? • Identify the Best Solution: try resolving the problem first with using the computer or software manual. You can also go to the website and look for blogs or discussion about the problem you are having. There may also be an online support you can contact. • Apply Solution and Check Results: once you have figured out the problem and found a solution/solutions start trying them. • Repeat Solutions if Necessary: Keep trying the solution as many times as needed until the problem is resolved. If none of the solutions work, then get help from another source. One last common error could be “human error”.
