UNIDO has experience developing clusters in Egypt to boost various sectors such as agribusiness, waste management, and creative industries. For the palm date cluster in Edwa, UNIDO helped increase productivity and income through training, business linkages, and treating palm trees for pests. In the animal production cluster in Edwa, UNIDO increased milk and meat productivity and decreased costs by providing skills training, artificial insemination, and biogas production services. For sun-dried tomatoes in Luxor, UNIDO created new jobs, mainly for women, by establishing dryers and connecting farmers' cooperatives to buyers.
