1. Clothing
I have decided that the 2 men will wear a hoody while going into the forest. I felt this was
most effective because it shows that they are casual about the mission and are not wearing
armour because they are afraid which also implies that their vengeance outweighs their
worry. Furthermore most action films see the actors wear either a hoody or a short-sleeved
black t-shirt and I feel that by changing what they are wearing on top for the different scene
will make it clearer to the audience that they are somewhere else and also that they look
more casual whilst in the forest and not looking like they have just come out of prison.
Furthermore by wearing the same sort of clothing (hoody) this reinforces the relationship
between the 2 characters and shows that in reality they are very similar people. They will
not be wearing the exact same hoody so the audience will be able to distinguish between
the 2 characters without getting confused of who is who.

2. I have decided to that the 2 men will wear dark jeans when going off into the forest. Again i
felt this was most effective because it shows that they are casual about the mission and are
not wearing armour because they are afraid which also implies that their vengeance
outweighs their worry. Furthermore in most action films the actors wear dark long trousers
similar to the ones above which means that the audience are clear what genre my filmis.
Also I decided to change the trousers from the black jogging bottoms below that they will
wear in prison to show that they are no longer in prison and also so they don’t stand out
whilst on the mission. This could be implied that they are ‘uncover’ and that the target will
not see them coming.
I have decided that whilst in prison McQuade will wear black jogging bottoms. This is
stereotypical for people in prison as it is something easy to put on and shows that they don’t
really care about their appearance. Furthermore it is commonly used in prison cell scenes in
action films and this could make my filmlook more realistic. Also this is different to the
trousers in which they will be wearing whilst in the forest so that the audience will able to
distinguish between the 2 different locations and so no-one will get ‘lost’ while watching the
scene.

3. I have decided that whilst in prison McQuade will wear a black short sleeve t-shirt. This is
stereotypical for people in prison as it is something easy to put on and shows that they don’t
really care about their appearance. This sort of clothing is used in prison in films so I felt that
this would be effective. The dark resembles the mood of the character at this time as black
is usually associated with negative and boring, and the fact that the t-shirt is plain with no
pictures could connote that the person’s life is boring and ‘plain’.
