- 1. Costume and prop report Props: The props that I will be needing for my short film will be a teddy bear which I already have and will briefly be used during the second scene in the forest. This prop will briefly be picked up by Tom who will look at the teddy bear briefly and then hastily put the teddy back onto the ground after it prompts memories for him. The second prop that I will need for my short will be a half broken mirror which I will be used by Jack also in scene two where he will look into the mirror and start to envision himself in another place and bring up possibilities that he has life elsewhere, similarly to Tom he will quickly drop the mirror onto the ground after hearing someone cry out. Costumes: Jack: I would like Jack to be dressed wearing standard trainers, blue jeans and a plain brown jumper. I want him to be wearing these clothes as I want him to be seen by my audience as a normal teenager, this is so that my target audience which will be people of a similar age to me and by having them presented similarly to me I can make the audience relate to them and put themselves in the shoes of Jack. Tom: Similarly I want Tom to be wearing standard trainers with blue jeans and a grey jumper, I want him to be presented in this way so similarly to Jack he is relatable to the target audience and can again allow the audience to put themselves in their shoes as they would share characteristics with Tom and Jack and that would allow them to relate to them.
