The Script
Setting: June, 2014.
The opening scene is set in a prison cell. There is a man lying on his bed asleep in one
of the cells. We get a flashback of when he was sent down to prison. We hear a
judge’s voice.
Judge
I hereby sentence John Mcquade to 20 years in prison for the 1st
degree of
kidnapping of Sarah Watson on 16th
May 2011.
The camera goes back to the man on his bed who turns over and making a quiet
whining noise whilst still having the flashback. He hears words in his flashback from
the judge and the occasionally bang on the judges table with a gavel.
Judge
Guilty, 30 years, prison, prison, kidnapping, Sarah, Mcquade, MCQUADE!
Mcquade wakes up from his flashback to find a guard knocking on his cell.
Guard
Mcquade
Mcquade gets off his bed and walks over to the guard at his cell.
Mcquade
Whats wrong?
Guard
Looks like it’s your lucky day today. Information came in showing that the kidnapping
wasn’t you. Your sentence has been cut and you are granted leave on bail.

Mcquade stares at the guard.
Guard
There’s someone waiting for you in reception. Get your things ready to leave.
Mcquade continues to stare at the guard. He then turns around and walks over to his
bed. He gets out his bag and packs away his belongings. He walks to the door or his
prison cell and turns around to take one last look. He then walks to the reception
followed by the guard. They walks out of the station where a man is standing. The
man looks at mcquade. He walks over to mcquade and hugs him.
Friend
It’s good to see you pal. It’s been awhile
Mcquade
You too bud. I’m telling you that cell is damn awful. Though it gives you lots of time
to think.
Friend
I got some news. I’ve managed to track down that son of a bitch who set you up. His
car was last spotted down at Linford Forest 2 days ago. It hasn’t left since. I hope that
being in that cell hasn’t made you soft.
Mcquade Laughs
McQuade
Me soft! Don’t you worry if anything I’ve got stronger. When we find that bastard
he’s gonna regret ever stepping foot near me.
They both laugh and fist bump eachother. They drive off in Mcquade’s Friends car
and head down to the forest.

How’s Jeanette and the kids?
Friend
They’re great man. Joe got into Oxford and Zoe has just passed all her GCSE’s
Mcquade
That’s brilliant! What about Jeanette is she alright?
Friend
Jeanette and I have split up John
Mcquade
Oh, I’m sorry to hear that pal. What happened?
Friend
I walked in to find her in bed with this prick
Mcquade
You’re kidding? Did you give him a good beating.
Friend laughs.
Friend
Well let’s just say that he’ll never look the same again
They both start laughing.
McQuade
Oh have I missed you mate
Friend
Wish I could say the same about you
They both start laughing again and the car pulls up to a car park in the forest. The
friend turns off the engine.
Friend
This is it.

They both get out of the car and walk to the bonnet of the car. The friend gets out a
map and opens it on the car bonnet. On the map there are 2 circles which are over 2
different place within the forest. Friend points to the first circle
Friend
This is where we are now.
Friend then points to the other circle
Friend
This is where he must be staying. There is no other building in the whole forest so I
recommend we check there first. Sound good?
Mcquade
Let’s do it
They open up the back of the car and strap up in armour. They attach guns and
ammo to themselves. They laugh and friend then shuts the car door. They fist bump.
Some music is playing in the background
