PROPERTIES OF MATERIAL
• SOLUBLE : Material that mix and become
invisible in water is called as Soluble .
PROPERTIES OF MATERIAL
• INSOLUBLE : Materials that do not mix with
water and are still visible are called Insoluble .

PROPERTIES OF MATERIAL
• OBJECT THAT FLOAT OR SINK IN WATER
Sinking means object that goes below the water .
Floating means that float on top of water .
Some materials float in water while others sink:
Materials like sand, sugar and salt sink in
water.
Materials like wax, oil and wood float on water.
PROPERTIES OF MATERIAL
• TRANSPARENCY
• TRANSPARENT : Materials through which things can
be seen are called transparent. For example, glass, water,
air, test tube.
• TRANSLUCENT : Materials through which things are
only partially visible are called translucent. For
example, butter paper, old glass door.
• OPAQUE : Materials through which we are not able to
see are called opaque. For example, wood, iron, gold.
