Introduction
Congress shall make no law...prohibiting the free exercise of the press...freedom of

then why does censorship exist?
Censorship is by no means a new concept; it has been around since the dawn of the
written word. With the earliest known date going all the way back to Rome circa 443
B.C., and then later in China around 300 A.D. It is suggested that censorship has
followed people throughout time, almost like a nightmarish creature that is meant
to suppress our rights and freedoms. While it is true that we have the freedom to

One of the biggest points of contention that have been greatly debated over the
years, is whether video games make kids violent or not. While there have been
some studies done that show that they are/aren t violent the results are never agreed
upon and further tests have to be done. All that to be said, the point of the studies
are to show that if we can censor (block) kids use of violent video games, then
maybe they won t become violent adults.
A recent study tried to test this theory by having college students detail various
violent games/various people who may fit the category who play those types of
games and see whether or not their demeanor changed as a result of playing the
games (Ivory/Kalyanaraman 2009). However the results weren t indicative of
whether censoring games would change the out come in the long run.
Symptoms
While it is a necessary evil, it doesn t mean that we have to accept it for what it is
on one hand. But on the opposite hand if we didn t accept it then what would our

gender roles of civic duties and raising children in her community because she was
female. Perpetua defied the expectations placed upon her since birth by converting to
Christianity and used the freedom of the Christian religion to show her independence
and create her own role as a woman. This essay will analyze Perpetua s defiance of
the gender expectations of civic hood and motherhood of the Roman community, and

Along with the very powerful visuals from the dancers the music is strong and
reflective. If I close my eyes I can see the story laid out in front of me from the

Dallas is one of the largest and most developed cities in the state of Texas in the
United States. Dallas is the 4th largest city in the United States because of its
downtown location, and is also the city with the world s largest airport. Dallas, the
largest city after Houston and San Antonio, is also one of the top ten cities in the
United States. The city is located in the middle of a desert and is literally revived.
Dallas, a Texas state, deserves more attention with its dynamic cityscape, recent
history, and colorful life with its cowboys, though many of Turk dig into the minds
