This document defines various types of shots used in cinematography including establishing shots to set the scene, wide shots to show a person's location, medium shots to show a person from the middle up, close-ups to highlight emotions or important details, and point-of-view shots that see from a character's perspective. It also discusses shot sizes, angles, and techniques like over the shoulder shots, two shots, and shot reverse shot that switch between characters.

1. Cinematography
Establishing shot – Explains the scene/ location/ time period.
Wide shot – A wide shot that tells us where our person is.
Medium/ Mid shot – Shows a person from usually middle
upwards.
Medium close up – Shows a bit more than a mid-shot but not as
close as a close up. Generally to show a bit more emotion.

2. Close up – Shows a close up shot of something significant.
Extreme close up – To highlight that emotion or to add suspense
and tension.
Point of view shot (POV) – Seeing from the perspective from
the character/ person. Need to see a body part usually hands or feet.
Over the shoulder shot – Makes you (the audience) feel like
you are there standing in that position.

3. Two shot and Shot reverse shot – Where they are two
people in a shot. And SRS is where the camera switches from one to
the other constantly and has to obey the 180 degree rule.
Low angle shot – Makes the figure look more powerful.
High angle shot – Makes the figure look vulnerable and weak.
