A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
Cinema one originals 2013 final paper Marisol L. Lopez BACR 2-2
1. CINEMA ONE ORIGINALS 2013 FINAL PAPER
LOPEZ, MARISOL L.
BACR 2-2
I.
In the total of six movies that Cinema One originals showed, i find Kabisera, Shift and
Blue Bustamante the most appealing. Though, all of the movies are astonishing, breathtaking and
deserves a round of applause. It really made me proud to be a Filipino.
“Kabisera” This movie is all about a hardworking fisherman named Andres, played by
Joel Torre, who found boxes full of drugs that was floating in the sea, which he heard from his
friend Jose’s conversation with a police officer that it worth millions of money. His daughter
Ana, played by Meryll Soriano was getting married to a man from manila. Therefore she's going
to live there from the day she get married to the rest of her life and also his son AJ, was planning
to study in that same place. Knowing Andres, who only wish for his family to be together, he
then dips his soul in danger and used the drugs for his wish to come into reality.
The applicable theory for the scene where Andres was insisting that AJ should study in a
school near in their place instead in manila because he would want AJ to inherit his fishery
business is the Cognitive Dissonance Theory. Since, AJ on the other hand has his own beliefs
and he insisted to his father that he will study in manila and live together with her sister Ana.
In the scene from what I remember, the applicable theory is also the Cognitive
Dissonance theory. The scene was when Jose is trying to convince that it would be safe to have a
police officer as an ally but Andres doesn’t believe and trust his actions. Therefore he followed
his own belief by putting the remaining drugs back to the sea for his own safety.
The scene when Jose was talking to kulot about their profit shares with the drugs. The
applicable theory in this scene is the Expectancy Violation Theory. Since, Jose was expecting a
big pile of cash in his hands but his expectation was violated by Andres since he learned that the
number of drugs in his hands that Andres gave was only a small portion.
2. “Shift” this second movie that I like is a story of a boyish girl named Estela who is just
freshly hired in a call center. As for being a novice, she then was partnered with a senior gay
officemate named Trevor. In the story, Estela didn’t have any boyfriend ever since but later then
fell in love with his senior partner even though he was a gay.
The applicable theory in the scene where Estela and Trevor was spending their time
together by doing some random stuffs while they were in their break time is Social Penetration
Theory since in the scene they were portraying that they are getting to know each other and
letting their relationship go deeper.
In the scene when they were paired up with each other, the applicable theory is
Uncertainty Reduction theory since Trevor has this feeling of uncertainty that he could not
handle Estela very well because he is gay and Estela was a bit of boyish. But later on as time
pass by; the uncertainty was reduced because of their interaction with each other.
When Estela was assuming that Trevor also, has feelings for her, the applicable theory for
this scene is Expectancy Violation theory since Estela’s expectations was violated by Travor.
Later on she found out that Travor has a boyfriend.
The last movie that I like among the six was “Blue Bustamante”. The story is about
George Bustamante, an OFW in japan. Later then, with the help of his friend Roger Grace more
on as Roger Grace insisted, he was hired as Blue force a character in a children show titled;
Force Five.
The applicable theory in the scenes when every time George met Ayumi in front of the
apartment he was staying in is Social Penetration Theory. Since, in these scenes they were
interacting with each other, ending up getting their relationship dig deeper.
The moment when the Japanese girl Ayumi, George’s neighbor, was assuming that
George has also the same feelings she feels on him is Expectancy Violation Theory. Since, she
later then found out that George was already married and he was just looking at her as a friend.
By this, her expectation was violated.
The last scene that I recall is when George was assuming that Saito, the person who is
playing Red Force, hates him because of how the way he looks at him and how he treats him, the
applicable theory for this scene is also the Expectancy Violation Theory because in the scene,
George’s expectation was violated when he had a formal talk with Saito. He later then found out
that Saito salutes him and respect him as his co-worker and as playing the blue force. He also
learned that the man who was playing blue force before was a good friend of his.
3. II.
Ganito kami noon, Paano kayo ngayon?
The movie shows how the Filipinos live in the past when the Spaniards and Americans
colonize our country. In the story, there are conflicts between the Filipinos and Spaniards where
they fought about who is the true Filipinos in the land. Nicholas Ocampo, the main protagonist in
the story, proves the colonizers wrong. He showed them that the true Filipinos are innocent and
kind. Though, they lack in education because of inequality treatment, they are well mannered
people. He proves that you don’t have to be powerful and well educated to be a true Filipino like
the Spaniards claiming they are. Kulas also portrayed that Filipinos are brave, they are not
slaves, and can stand on their own. He tried to learn and cope with such people but He didn’t let
himself get drowned and eaten by the culture of such colonizers. Nowadays, people especially
teenagers are easily get influenced by things from the other countries. They let themselves get
dragged by those races when we have our own. This is what the movie is trying to tell us. We
should act like Nicholas Ocampo, who love his own country and who is a true Filipino. The
theory that is applicable in this movie is the reinforcement theory since the movie fights for its
own beliefs.
