The document discusses three potential song choices for a music video:
1) "Electric Love" by BORNS, which varies in tempo and genre, allowing for varied editing and suitable locations.
2) "Isombard" by Declan McKenna, which also varies in tempo and genre, making it interesting to edit and easy to find fitting locations.
3) A cover of "Something Just Like This" by Coldplay, which is well-known but the cover is unique. The acoustic style fits the planned calm locations.
Overall, "Something Just Like This" was chosen because it offers the most variety for locations and video style out of the options.

2. Choice 1
Electric Love - BORNS
Our reason for choosing this song for my music video is
because it varies in tempo which will make it seem more
interesting as we can vary the editing pace and the style and
genre of the song makes it easy to find suitable locations,
costumes and props. The song isn’t overly mainstream
however it is popular within it’s genre therefore we think it
would be a good choice to use for our video. Also the song
builds up throughout therefore we can introduce new aspects
such as locations during the video to keep the audience
interested.
3. Choice 2
Isombard - Declan Mckenna
We have chosen this song as one of our potential choices
for our music video because it is upbeat however it varies in
tempo and therefore we can change the editing pace
throughout making it more interesting to watch. Also the
song isn’t overly mainstream but it is still relatively popular
within the genre and audience. I think it will be easy to find
locations and decide on costumes and props for the video
because the genre and style are very general. Also because
it is a solo artist it will be easy to find a good performer
instead of having to get a whole band. For the video we
have thought about using locations such as a city, a car
park and just in the streets.
4. Choice 3
Something Just Like This - Missy and Blonde
(Coldplay cover)
We like this song because it is a cover therefore the song is
fairly well known however not many people will of heard the
cover therefore it is more unique. It is a slowed down,
acoustic version and that fits with the theme we want to go
with and we have ideas for locations with a setting for a
calm song such as the back and a forest. Because it is
acoustic we thought about using natural lighting. We think
this will be a good choice because the music builds up
throughout the song giving us opportunities to add salt and
pepper moments to keep the audience interested.
5. Chosen Track
Out of all of our choices we have
decided to go with ‘Something Just Like
This’ by Missy and Blonde. This is
because out of all the songs we found it
had the most variety and would look
effective with locations we have in mind
and the genre works well with the type
of video we want to create.
