The Story


    We have chosen to actors to play the role of lovers.

    They will be running round the chosen location playing a ‘hide and seek’
    style role.

    We plan to use lots of slow motion to capture their emotions and to
    emphasise the actions that take place within the video.

    We feel that the song title ‘Somebody to Love’ really works well with this
    story. As they are theoretically searching for eachother, and they are in
    love.
Location


    The location that we have chosen for our music video is a very desolate
    area, surrounded by trees and a small stream that runs through them.

    The reason we have chosen this location is because we felt that it suited
    the style of song and the story very well.

    We also feel that this location will allow us to use a very wide range of
    shots, from close-ups to show emotions. To establishing shots to capture
    the scenery, and let the viewer know where they are.

    We are hoping for nice weather when filming the video. We feel that if this
    happens the full excitement of the video will be captured. However, if the
    weather is mildly overcast we will still be able to film as this can also be
    worked for our benefit.
Characters


    The Characters that we have chosen we feel are perfect for the roles. They
    are both very good representatives of our genre. They will be dressed in
    indie clothes, buttoned up shirts, tight trousers etc…

    They bare both 18 years old, which is the ideal age because we feel that
    this is going to be the average age of the audience that will watch this
    video.

    With this we hope that people will be able to relate to it or connect in some
    way.
The song



    Above is the song that we will be using, it is very upbeat and very fast. So it
    may seem a bit odd that we are going to be doing much of it in slow
    motion, However whilst researching music videos we discovered that many
    of the videos we looked at used slow motion. For example the video below
    uses slow motion throughout the whole video and it really works. You can
    really see the emotion of both characters and this is exactly what we are
    trying to achieve in ours.




Target audience


    The target audience for our video and track will be 15-25 year old males.

    We have chosen this specific target audience, because, this is the age and
    gender that mostly listen to this genre of music!
Methods for gaining audience feedback!


    At the first screening of our film, we will be handing out questionnaires to
    the audience to gather first impressions and anything we can do to the
    film to improve.

    We will also be asking our close peers, to give constant feedback on our
    video throughout. They will mainly be from our fellow media students, so it
    will give a good second opinion when moving forward.
Influences


    Both of us are avid drum and bass listeners, and we obviously both enjoy
    the music videos that come with each song.

    We have been to a few drum and bass gigs, and so, we think we have the
    feel, to create a good drum and bass video, to go along with the song.

    We are into many of the genres artists, these include; Sub Focus,
    Modestep and Pendulum.
