KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(A) WELL SITE
 Deploy the BOP stack subsea and latch onto wellhead
 Service and nipple up the wellhead
 Routine function and pressure test the BOPS in accordance with API RP53 sec.6.5.3.1
 Provide field and/or office support for operations
 Well site control system operation, monitoring and repairs
 Perform pre and post job testing of equipment
 Maintain the Blow Out Preventer (BOP), Diverter, and associated surface and subsea equipment in accordance with
the Rig Maintenance System (RMS)
 Schedule maintenance jobs and work orders such that routine planned maintenance falls within equipment operation
off-time, hence optimizing overall process efficiency
 Monitor and track equipment’s Key Performance Indicators such as TOTAL MAINTENANCE COST, MTBF, etc, hence
make recommendation to replace or keep equipment.
 Equipment down-time prevention management by tracking maintenance history, OEM’S preventive maintenance
recommendation and updating equipment technical data sheet.
 Ensure Equipment maintenance record meets regulatory body’s recommendations, such as API’s yearly, two yearly,
five yearly etc.
 Disassemble, inspect, maintain, reassemble and test drilling tools.
(B) OFFICE / SHOP
 Liaise with supply chain/OEM to ensure adequate spare parts are available for maintenance purposes.
 perform failure analysis and proffer recommendations for failed equipment
 Manage multiple projects and associated budgets, schedules and resources.
 Prepare and interpret schematics, drawings, layouts and other visual aids.
 Prepares engineering analysis for small/routine projects to include: preliminary design, calculation, life cycle cost and
equipment selection.
 Assist upper level engineers as directed while developing specialized engineering skills.
 Ensure that HSE procedures and regulations are followed to achieve ZERO LTI and without any damage to property
and environment

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 Plan, schedule and coordinate all maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner
 Budgeting and capital expenditures planning, analysis, presentation and implementation upon approval
 Install, monitor, maintain the Blow Out Preventer (BOP), Diverter, and associated surface and subsea equipment in
accordance with the Rig Maintenance System (RMS)
 Perform weekly BOP function in compliance to API recommended practices (API RP 53 sec 6.5.3.1.1)
 Conduct BOPs pressure test (up to 10,000 psi) in intervals of 14 - 21 days according to API RP53, sec 6.5.3.4
 Maintain and perform high pressure test (up to 10,000 psi)on choke and kill manifold valves
 Schedule periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, etc.) maintenance jobs and work orders such that planned
maintenance falls within equipment operational off-time, hence optimizing overall process efficiency and productivity
 Equipment down-time prevention management by tracking maintenance history, OEM’S preventive maintenance
recommendation and updating equipment technical data sheet.
 Monitor certification to ensure equipment maintenance record meets regulatory body’s recommendations, such as
API’s yearly, two yearly, five yearly etc.
 Conduct failure analysis and provide recommendations for failed equipment.
Ensure that designs meet local and international standards and specifications like API, ASME etc, hence and meet
safety, maintenance, and schedule requirements of the company.
 Prepare rotating equipment data sheets and review existing data sheets.
Troubleshoot any technical problems of all compressors, pumps and other rotating equipment
 Liaise with vendors to verify materials specifications for new rotating equipment prior to delivery of new supplies.
 Mentor and progressively monitor subordinates.
 Supervise execution of scheduled job orders.
 Enforce QHSE policies and procedures for all subordinates.
 Preventive and breakdown maintenance of choke manifold Valves (15,000 psi pressure rated Valves).
 High pressure test of the choke and kill manifold Valves (15,000 psi pressure valves).
 Conduct valve failure investigations.
 Review and approve valve maintenance/ repair procedures and valve status tracking
 Ensure that the riser pipe system is serviced and pressure tested as required.
 Continuous monitoring of surface equipment...CMC, tensioner pressures and adjust pressures as required by mud weight
in use on drill mode.
 Ensure adequate supply of spares is maintained to fulfill maintenance requirements and facilitate safe and efficient
operation.
