Job profile Working as instrument engineer in 2 X 1.1 MMTPA PTA (Purified Terephthalic acid} plant at petrochemical; complex of Reliance Industries Limited, Dahej Manufacturing Division with four years of experience in Maintenance/ Operations and more than four years in execution of large scale projects PROJECT ENGINEERING MANAGEMENT (PMT) • HAZOP SIL review- IEC 61511/61508, Technical Bid evaluation, Vendor selection, Spec/documents review & comments, inspection as per specs for all types of Field Instruments, DCS, ESD, F&G system, Foundation Field bus instruments, Overall responsible for Commissioning of Control Room in co-ordination with Civil/Electrical/Mechanical and Operations • FAT/SAT - FACTORY TESTING for Distributed Control Systems DCS, Emergency Shutdown systems ESD, Fire & Gas F&G detector systems, Analysers, Bently Condition monitoring system and other 3rd party PLC packages • Electrical installations in hazardous areas as per intrinsic safety, IP rating, ex proof, NEMA, zone, area and group classification • I & C CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT: Site Instrument Installation, Inspection & Contractors overall monitoring , check-SMART Field Instruments viz., Transmitters-pressure, temperature, flow, level, Gauges, I/P converters, control valves, SMART positioners,switches, nucleonic level detectors • PRE-COMMISSIONING, COMMISSIONING, START-UP & PROJECT HAND-OVER: Loop check Test pack Review (Instrument Index/ Loop diagram/ P&ID/ Cause & Effect/ Alarm & Trip points/ Calibration & Inspection reports) verification & punch closing, Mechanical Completion Inspection, DCS & ESD Logic FUNCTION test for as per cause & effect matrix to ensure process and equipment safety for critical process equipments like compressors, turbines, expander, furnaces , boilers, distillation columns after checking of trips and interlocks with licensor ,operations team ENGINEERING & MAINTENANCE – OIL & GAS REFINERY/ PETROCHEMICAL • Leading a team of engineers, executives and workers with the objective of increasing unit efficiency, reliability, availability, and maintainability. • Preparation and ensuring compliance of instrument calibration reports, checklists ,SMP (Standard Maintenance Procedures Manual) and training subordinates on them • SAP job planning, scheduling, permit request with LOTO,TBRA (cold, light hot, heavy hot, work at height, excavation, confined space entry), risk assessment ,permit closure, maintaining job history, • Preparation of annual maintenance budget for existing plants & new projects • Investigating failures, reliability issues using methods like why-why, fishbone analysis, PHA and completing their recommendations • Involved in planning and implementation of Pre-Shutdown and Shutdown Activities. • Analysing trips, abnormal alarms in the system from trip logs, SOE recorders, historical trends and rectifying those faults to take back systems online • Preparing daily, monthly reports , trip reports and presenting them to the management with learning’s to be implemented • Making list of critical inventory ,SAP codification ,getting quotation from various vendors analysing technical bids and inspecting materials before final acceptance • Implementing new technological changes, system improvements after thorough study and following standard procedures like CAPEX, MOC (management of change), SCR (site change request), PSSR as per PSM module Apply and
