Mobile internet has profoundly influenced the market, with 650 million total internet users in 2014 including 560 million mobile users. Mobile devices have made it more efficient for information gathering and decision making regarding cosmetics. China's cosmetics online sales reached 118 billion yuan (US$18 billion) in 2014, equal to 29.2% of total retail sales, and are estimated to top 300 billion yuan (US$46 billion) by 2018 with an annual growth rate of 23.6%.
