CAREER OBJECTIVE
I am a self-motivated, detail oriented Chemistry Graduate from ‘The University of Melbourne’ seeking a
challenging opportunity to further develop and refine my scientific research and professional work skills with
the few years of chemical research that I’ve done up to my Masters level. My areas of interest for job
positions include organic, analytical and medicinal chemistry.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Research Student
Master of Science (Chemistry) – The University of Melbourne Melbourne, Australia
2013 – 2015
Master’s Project synopsis:
My two years project during my Master of Science (Chemistry) involved a new approach for synthesis of
thiosugars using glycosyl disulfides as key intermediates, as part of a broarder effort to completing a total
synthesis of compounds which are stuructural mimics of Glycosyl hydrolase enzymes.
During my synthesis I used techniques like:
 NMR – Proton, Carbon 13, HSQC
 Mass spectroscopy
 Chromatographic techniques – Thin layer Chromatography, Flash Chromatography, HPLC
 Infrared and UV spectroscopy
The assessment for this research project required me to deliver a thirty minute presentation and write a
sixtypage report.The feedbackIhave receivedfromthese taskshighlypraisedmycommunicationskills.
Undergraduate Chemistry Demonstrator Melbourne, Australia
The University of Melbourne January 2014 – July 2015
Instructed and managed groups of 1st year Chemistry students
In their practical classes
This included:
 A short introductory presentation on the purpose of each practical session, safety considerations and
correct techniques.
 Supervising students’ practical work to ensure safe practice was maintained and instruments were
handled correctly.
 Marking of practical reports and supplying useful feedback to students.
