OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson we are able to;

the meaning of a word as it relates to the subject
being discussed.
● Definitions can solve problems and clear up
confusion within a document.
● It is simply giving the exact meaning of the
unfamiliar and special meaning of the word.
● It is a useful technique in oral or written

DEFINITION

DETERMINER. (The term to be Defined)
Genus -The term belongs is always connected to the species
by a LINKING VERB. (Both (Species and Genus) can be
introduced by a Determiner.
Differentia -It is written to give the CHARACTERISTICS OF
THE TERM. Make it different from other
terms belonging to the same genus.
