2. I. HERNIOPLASTY HERNIOPLASTY is the surgical repair of a hernia, sometimes specifically that using a mesh patch or plug for reinforcement. It is the surgical correction of a hernia. It is also the surgical repair of a hernia, with reconstruction of tissue.
