  • 3. PANDEMIC COVID19 HIT (ONGOING) • Disruption to all aspects of learning environment. • School closures. • Online/Hybrid learning becomes mainstream. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT CULTURE TECHNOLOGY PEDAGOGY TEACHERS & STUDENTS
  • 4. IMPACT ON THE CULTURE OF LEARNING • Some aspects of learning can’t be fully augmented: • Thinking habits changed because pedagogies changed. • Collaborative learning disrupted. • Impact on teachers’ & students’ psychology. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT CULTURE TECHNOLOGY PEDAGOGY TEACHERS & STUDENTS
  • 5. IMPACT ON THE TECHNOLOGIES FOR LEARNING • Online/Hybrid learning becomes mainstream. • Increased adoption of tech tools. • Limited integrated tools. Need to mix-match different tools to fit instructional design. • Infrastructure. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT CULTURE TECHNOLOGY PEDAGOGY TEACHERS & STUDENTS
  • 6. IMPACT ON THE PEDAGOGICAL DESIGNS • Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK, see TPACK). • Readiness for innovative teaching strategies using digital tools. • Psychological considerations when designing online lessons. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT CULTURE TECHNOLOGY PEDAGOGY TEACHERS & STUDENTS
  • 7. IMPACT ON TEACHERS AND STUDENTS • Social presence - disrupted. Needed to be rebuilt in online environment. • Cognitive Presence - difficult to augment. Needed creative use of digital tools to deliver and assess learning. • Teaching Presence - innovative pedagogies. LEARNING ENVIRONMENT CULTURE TECHNOLOGY PEDAGOGY TEACHERS & STUDENTS
