2. CHANGE MANAGEMENT
“.….the only constant is change - change
is inevitable”
“…..Change can either be forced upon
us or created by ourselves”
“Change is
Unchangeable”
5. WHY RESISTANCE TO CHANGE
• Insecurity/uncertainty
• Sense of loss and Confusion
• Fear of letting-go-off the experience
which led to success in the past
• People hold onto and value the past
• High emotional stress
• Conflict increases – especially between
groups
6. Is Change an Opportunity or a Problem?
• People’s reactions are based on past
experiences and their perceptions of the
change
7. MANAGING CHANGE :

HEART
Why should
I change ?
What’s in it
for me ?
Why should I do differently ?
9. • The key to change …… is to let go of fear
• The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has
brought progress
• Change is necessary in life – to keep us moving … to keep
us growing … to keep us interested … Imagine life without
change. It would be static … boring … dull
• Change is hard because people overestimate the value of
what they have and underestimate the value of what
they may gain by giving that up
• Change your thoughts and you change your world
• If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always
get what you’ve always got
10. So, if we really look forward to a
progress/growth, we must be open to
change and keep our attitude and behaviour
accordingly
