John 10:27 – “My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them,
and they follow me”
Romans 10:17 – “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by
the word of God”
Faith does not come from works, it comes from hearing
God!
When we tune into His voice (Divine Frequency), it begins
to expose the lies that we believer. His voice replaces
lies with truth about who He is and who we are in Him.

Hearing God.
A CASE STUDY OF SAMUEL THE PROPHET -
(Adopted from COP) 1 Samuel 3
1. God loves to talk, and His voice is as clear as any other
voice. “Then the Lord called to Samuel, and he said, ‘Here I
am.’” v. 4
2. Hearing God’s voice is a skill to be learned; it requires Holy
Spirit revelation.“Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord, and
the word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.” v. 7
3. God is glad to repeat Himself. “And the Lord called again,
‘Samuel!’ and Samuel arose and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I
am, for you called me.’” v. 6
4. God wants your undivided attention. “Therefore Eli said to
Samuel, ‘Go, lie down, and if He calls you, you shall say,
“Speak, Lord, for your servant hears.’’” v. 9

5. God’s voice always tests you and holds you accountable.
“And Eli said, ‘What was it that He told you? Do not hide it
from me. May God do so to you and more also if you hide
anything from me of all that He told you.’” v. 17
6. God’s voice is initially spoken to you in private (as if you
were the only one listening), but His word is normally
confirmed publicly. “So Samuel told him everything and
hid nothing from him. And he said, ‘It is the Lord. Let Him
do what seems good to Him.’” v.18
7. The more you listen and obey, the more God speaks to
you. “And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let
none of his words fall to the ground.” v.19

Barriers for Hearing God
• Doubts on God’s ability with Human
Intellectuals
• Having our own agenda
• Hardened Heart (Heb 3:7-8)
• Fatigue – Busy Life (No time for God)
• Sinfulness

How to Respond once you hear
God?
* God gives REVELATION not INFORMATION
* Hearing God is the primary way that we disconnect
from our knowledge and reconnect to the source
God speaks so that people need to respond. Two
responses are,
1. We Must Believe (Rom 10:8-10)
2. We Must Confess (Agreeing what God says…) The
barriers to agreeing sound like “I know Better”
14. Pr. Asap Singh
Activation…
Spend some time listening to God’s voice. God speaks
through the Scriptures. Pray through the following
Scriptures, allowing God to speak His word to you.
2 Corinthians 5:17 - “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new
creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here.”
Galatians 2:20 - “I have been crucified with Christ and I no
longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the
body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave
himself for me.”
-Ask him to tell you what He likes about you. Ask him to let
you know how he feels about you. Journal what you hear.
15. Pr. Asap Singh
Activation…
It’s okay if you don’t think you heard Him this time. Take a
minute and ask again. Remember that He’s better at speaking
than we are at hearing. It takes practice to “tune in” to Him.
Settle down and be present with God. Pause and listen. Repeat
the questions listed above. Bring yourself to a posture of quiet
surrender.
Now, let’s take a minute to evaluate what we just heard…
- Does it line up with scripture?
- Does it produce the Fruit of the Spirit in you? (Gal. 5:22-23)?
- Does it set you free (John 8:32)?
ONE WORD FROM GOD CHANGES EVERYTHING!
