Chandrayaan 3 is India's third lunar mission, launched on July 14, 2023 to soft land on the lunar south pole region. The mission objectives were to demonstrate a safe soft landing, conduct rover operations, and on-site experiments. It successfully entered lunar transfer orbit on July 15th and landed on the moon's south pole on August 23rd, achieving its goals of soft landing and conducting scientific analysis to learn more about the moon's geology, atmosphere, and environment.
