HCD & Design Thinking
One of the major reason for startup failure is misalignment
between co-founders over focus on product and lack of customer
empathy. In this Module the incubates were inculcated how these
risks can be prevented & how Design Thinking can give a startup
a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
This session was delivered by Mr. Ahmed Mujtaba Khan, Program
Manger at Center for Global Innovators on December 11, 2019.
Customer Discovery
No business can survive without a loyal customer base that uses
its product or. In this module the incubates were enlightened on
the details of a ground-up approach to building a new business.
This Module emphasized on identifying & forecasting a specific
customer base before finalizing a product or service to fulfil its
needs.
This session was delivered by Mr. Imran Jattala, Co-founder &
CEO of Center for Global Innovators.
Business Model Design
One of the successful strategies for a startup is to enter a market
& succeed through its business model differentiation.
As a business model describes the rationale of how
an organization creates, delivers, and captures value. In this
Module the incubates were imparted about the business models
which offer a unique, relevant, hard to copy value promise.
This session was delivered by Mr. Ali Moeen Malik, Co founder,

Business Model Validation
Validating a business model is one of the most crucial parts of
starting a company. Therefore, through this module incubates
were trained to validate their business model to check their
readiness level for the market. Through this module the incubates
have learned to check their feasibility, desirability & validity.

Social Media Marketing
One of the most important benefits of using social
media for a business is the increase in web
traffic. Moreover, the higher the number of shares of a
business' posts on social media, the greater its search
ranking and online exposure. Through this session
startups learned the importance of social media
marketing and how they can get their startup
introduced more effectively in the market.

Hackathon (sponsored by Airlift) at Lahore Garrison
University, this hackathon was aimed to select the first cohort
of Social &Creative Incubation Program at Lahore Garrison
University
CGI received 300+ applications, top 50 startups were
shortlisted to pitch at "Startup Pitch Hackathon.
Startup Pitch Hackathon
CGI started the recruitment drive of Cohort 1 at Lahore
Garrison University. The judging panel for Startup Pitch
Hackathon included Humayun Mazhar (Founder & CEO Cres
Ventures), Anooshay Shaigan (VP at Courting The Law), Mr.
Syed Mehr Haider (Executive Director at Airlift), Usman Ur
Rehman Ahmed (Track Lead / SE Consultant at Systems
Limted), Mughees Tahir (Program Manager at PlanX),
Mr. Syed Irfan Zaidi (Regional Head at JS Bank), Mr. Waqas
Hashmi (Marketing Manager NSPIRE), Dr. Aqsa Shabbir
(Lahore College for Women University),Adeel Anwar (UET),
Ikram Ullah Khan (Lead Trainer & IT Consultant).
25 teams have been selected for the first cohort of Social &
Creative Incubation Program at Lahore Garrison University.
.Leadership & Soft Skills
Leadership Module is organized with the motive to instil
Growth Mindset amongst the incubates. As it is important to
develop an understanding of leadership and its importance
for startup life. Keeping this in view session on "Leadership
and Soft Skills" at Lahore Garrison University was delivered
by Mr. Mir Mohammad Ali Khan (First Muslim owner of
investment bank).
