This is a case study of the work that I did with the Center Club Board of Governors. It shows progression of what I observed at the beginning and the changes that the Chairman and the Club Manager have implemented based on my recommendation. The result led to increased membership by net 40 members, increased number of visits by 1308, and revenue increased by 20%.

absolutely every single board member feels fulfilled by the role that they play and the work that
they do. I believe that when the dynamics do change and I ask, 'Do you like your job as a
director?' I get a respond, 'No, I don’t like my job, I love my job.' For the simple reason, people
who love what they do, they treat others better. They treat their colleagues better, their CEOs
better, their employees better, and their spouses better. Statistics also show that when people
care about their jobs, they make better decisions which ultimately leads to better results.
I would say that board dynamics is a pretty important topic for board members to learn,

Gershfeld received her Doctor of
Organizational Psychology from
University of the Rockies. Her
doctoral research was on
Motivational Principles on an
Organization's Effectiveness.
Dr. Gershfeld is also a dynamic

audience with her passion on the

Interaction, and Board
